fcon v pro was on my list however there is only one place in perth that can tune it and i have never used them before so don't really want to swap my tuner now which is a real shame as its an awesome bit of kit Anyways little update turbos have been selected HKS GT-SS Now exhaust: 3 opinions with my dump pipes Nismo, Mines or Tomei Nismo and mines are the split design and both similar price. Tomei is a single new design Mines is 80mm Tomie 68mm Nismo i am unsure need to look into it. Front Pipe will be a 70x2 -> 80mm design so i have lots of options mines, hks etc mines doesn't have the flex pipe so i may go for the hks design. Cat-Back so far im looking at nismo, mines or REIMAX. will most likly go for the reimax as the price isn't back and is 80mm Wish Beer Baron would sell me his old design tomie! damn you! -
32 Gtr Wrecking Spare Parts Non Accident

How much for the std front lip? -
thanks disco your post are always very helpful! The turbo are from japan, so getting them checked out is impossible, i have bought about 4-5 different turbos from japan (all second hand) and so far had not had any issue with them. But as you mention changing the turbos on the gtr isn't as easy as the rb25. Turbo are 3 years old with around 8,000km and some circuit work buyer state it does have some shaft play (which is what im worried about) ATM price wise its 100,000yen Second Hand GT-SS 90,000yen Second Hand HKS GT2510 Or 188,000yen Brand New HKS GT-SS 160,000yen For O/H HKS GT2510 Edit: what is the price for Garrett GT-SS?

Hi I know there are many factors that affect the life of a turbo but is there a general rule that after a set amount of km they should be rebuild? Looking at a second hand pair of HKS GT-SS and just wondering if its worth the hassle

Just pop in to see my tuner to ask about the Vipec, he said he can tune it and has no issue tuning it but for the price he said he rather put an Adaptronic in my car as its alot cheaper and you get similar functions. However he pretty much sold me on going d-jetro. i have to agree with his reasoning that having the h/c with the knock function allows you to detect problems before they destroy your engine on the track -

hmm another question. need to pick my ecu to go with the engine specs (gt-ss aim for 500hp @ engine) Limited the list down to 2 d-jetro or vipec, i know my tuner loves d-jetro as that is what he sugguest for me to run when i went to saw him yesterday (forgot to ask about vipec) what are people throughts? cost wise i can get d-jetro for around $1000-$1200 with all the gear, still waiting on price on the vipec -
Didn't really want to start another topic on VI-PEC but didn't want to read a 40+ page topic to answer afew question about this ecu. Looking to run this ecu in my track r32 gtr. Atm my choice is Vi-pec or D-jetro. Can Vipec run no afm like the d-jetro? Is the Vipec a simple plug in play setup or does it required me to config setting ect? is there any known issue with the vipec and the 32 gtr? Which is the best one Plugin play board? v88 v44? Cheers

Evo was an option but i just don't like them, driven two of my mates mild mod evo 7 and damn are they quick! but i just not a big fan of them. plus group a gtr look so nice! anyways back to my build, Looking at cams HKS step 2 272 10.2 lift, will i need to mod the value train to make them fit? edit being a brand whore i might spend the extra cash and get the REINIK Group A cams 13020-EAD01 INT,EXH 264°(66°) 9.7 105°車種共用 13020-EAD02 INT,EXH 272°(68°) 10.1 105°車種共用 13020-EAD03 INT,EXH 280°(70°) 10.5 105°車種共用 13020-EAD04 INT,EXH 288°(72°) 10.5 105°車種共用 Might go the 272 -

That would be great i had a quick look at your website looks like some impressive gear you guys make! Wonder if you could do an exhaust in titanium for the r32 gtr? Would ideally like to try some titanium intercooler piping aswell -

how do i go about checking the harmonic balance? The plan is at the end of the year or beginning of next dec/jan time to install some hks cams and cam gears, do nismo belt, greddy light weight pully kit, replace oil and water pump. to help freshen the engine up and give it a better power range. ATTESSA controller i was thinking of going the new hks one but not sure how it rates to Ruzik, as everything i have read (mainly the uk fourm) is that the unit one of the best out there. Cheers for the info about the transfer case dj good to know about that stuff. I think i will need afew track does to get sorted with the way the gtr drives, as i am uses to my rwd gts-t i think i will have to adjust my driving style as i was original using the r33 for drifting then slowly move into grip stuff. Dj do you run in the speed events series? as that is what im looking at starting in for the moment. Rowdyr32 cheers for the info about braking late etc as i think this is my number one problem watching in car videos from my last track car (were i got to know the wall ahaha) i was braking very late and also not very constant it was hard brake then ease off then hard again so very unstable, i think i still need to get use to the cc-rg endless pads and Stop my Grand turiousm style driving of extremely late and hard braking -

Thank dj and beerbaron good info My goal is 350-400hp which i think shouldnt be a problem with the n1 turbos. What is the best way to rebuild the transfer case? Is there any off the shelf parts u can buy for them? Also what about the std oil pump? Will this cause any problems at my target power? I have seen a nismo pump not n1 for sale and thinking it might be a good buy for the future -
Hi Does anyone have any info on nismo oil pump for rb26 (not n1 pump). Is it worth the money and as good as the other high spec oil pumps tomie etc? Cheers

the gts-t have huge amounts of grip, the limiting factor in my setup was my tyres after few laps they could just not handle the heat and weight of the car. Even when i road the bumps i didn't lose traction or feel unstable. feel more like the car was on rails then anything. But having said that what i plan to do with the gtr is timed events and 60% of the event are run on closes roads etc which is completely different to a track so i might need to go softer -

thanks for that info regarding the hks coilovers, They weren't my first choice but a very cheap set has come up for sale and through it would be better than what i have in the car currently. I think they have 6k springs I always through 1way was the go with front lsd? that 1.5 for too be aggressive. I'm still not 100% convinced that 10/10 is too stiff, like i mention i ran them in my gts-t and was more than happy with the way they work with the car. having said that it isn't too much money to change springs so maybe if i start at the 8/6 mark i can see how they compare with my 10/10 and go from there -

Thanks BeerBaron i was waiting for you to post If you don't mind could you pm a price for front and rear LCA ? agree about the nismo gear being over price but like i said bit of a brand whore lol, guess i just keep an eye out for a set of yahoo and if its cheap enough might buy them or else i just focus or getting some normal ohlines and maybe putting some swift springs in them. And phunky_monkey yeah nismo are non adjustable for the gtr too, however love the quality and the gear work great in my gts-t but if beer baron says theres no problems with the IK gear i just go with that -

thanks Rowdyr I am currently studying mech eng so im trying to apply my learning to my gtr hehe, thanks for the bits regarding the diffusers it should be easy to fab something up like you mention might give it a shot and see how it goes. S-tune is street, and R-tune is for the track. i know nismo make the r-tune for the r34 gtr but can't remember if there is one for the r32 i know its pretty much just re-badge Ohlins with nismo spring. My r33 was pretty good on traction it was running a 2way lsd and i could power out of turns without the rear spinning it just grip i would found it a issue after doing +5laps but i think that was more a tyre issue then suspension related. Time wise i was pretty much on pair with gtr with similar power 300-350hp however i didn't really get a true timing because i crash the car before it was completely finish I have a question regarding tyres size will 255 be to large for the front will it affect my steering? -
Testing If Vct Is Working Properly
Kaido_RR replied to Chi100188's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Its running a PFC. we have have heaps of issue with the car and has been to the tuners now 3times and still no complete tune, so the owner is getting abit dishearten hence why we want to work out if the VCT is working. We did a swap yesterday using the old VCT solenoid from my old engine, however we are not 100% sure if the solenoid was the problem or if we needed to swap the cam gear aswell
