Show Me Your Racing Machines
Kaido_RR replied to screamin''s topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
yeah i was fine, very lucky. thank god i had a do-luck rear floor brace as that took most of the impact and didn't allow that section of the car to be push in so much. Not sure if im going to re-shell or sell up and buy a GTR however next car will be 100% Track only, not making the same mistake twice track car = street car = major headaches and too much money -

Just Jap Racing And Ghepardo Seats
Kaido_RR replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
CAMs allows an extra 5 years on the FIA date, so that means 10years in total. From what i was told after 5-10yrs the fabric in the material starts to lose it strength and could possible tear in an accident. however i do agree with you its better knowing the history then like you say who knows what the other knowner did with it -
Just Jap Racing And Ghepardo Seats

+100% can not agree with beer baron enough. After see how my Bride Zeta 3 seat held up when i put my track car into a wall, i will not be buying any other seat. I hit a wall at the track 100km/hr + side ways (direct hit driver side) it push my whole door in towards me, the bride seat basically put a huge indent into the door trim and stop it from hitting me, took the seat out and there is NO damage what so ever to the seat. When you think about it a brand new Bride Zeta 3 will cost around $1000 and i think its an extra $200 for the FIA approve Zeta 3. Also if you are looking at harness please get one that is not out of date! edit: photo to show you how far the door went in here is the only photo i have showing the seat vs door -
finally Ferrari showing some pace~ Massa got f**ked hard lol! changed his front wing twice! Alonso got f**ked by traffic twice

Importing A Race Car
Kaido_RR replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Thanks Mr Eps that s14 is very nice! however what i am looking at is a euro race car, Not sure if the models i am looking at can be rego. and the only use of the car will be to race it so not really that worry about resale value. Also most of the cars i am looking at come std with roll cages and other fancy race stuff so not sure how you would go about getting something like that rego hmmmm... broker is the go too, but not sure if many brokers can get the car im looking at. (Just to give you an idea im looking at Ferrari Challenge car or similar) -
Hey, I'm looking for some help/advice. I'm looking to see if it is possible to import a race car and the cost. I have been looking at my105.com however i have not come across anything that i am interested in. So i went onto google and just look for "race car for sale" and came across alot of Europe and America website with alot of race cars that i am interested in. I'm not looking at getting it rego, i know here in perth you are able to get b-rego which allows you to drive to and from events and to and from workshops which is everything i will need. Can anyone point me in the right direction for race cars for sale in japan? as im trying to work out what i am looking cost wise for the car compare to buying local (if i can find anything) Regards Michael

you will have zero issue with a nismo 2way lsd on the street if you run it in correctly and change the oil (nismo state every 3,000km) Comparing my nismo 2way to my mates kaaz 2way, my nismo was alot more street friendly and was alot more quicker. I have a NISMO GT LSD for sale in 2weeks done less than 2,000km (Running Motul completition oil 17W140, the oil nismo recommends), comes in housing with side shafts (everything less than 2000km old bears, shafts etc) $1250 come out of r33 gts-t so suits 5 bolt flange r200 diffs. also got 2L of nismo completition dif oil 75W140 aka nismo motul if you need it. Also my dad has driven my car more than me in the last 2,000km and he had no issue with losing traction or anything else when driving the car. same goes for me. And 2way is not for drift only....

I already look into the defi cluster, not sold outside of japan, so i was like i be sneaky and get my contact in japan to buy it for me then ship it here but you can't do that because they have to install it aswell

i found them brand new from the us for 1.5k (US) or 700 from the uk (1.3k aus). that is for the basic pack which comes with the harness, dash, oil, temp and fuel senders
-
thanks that would be great, would like to see what the 0-3 8000rpm one looks like as i was tossing up between that one and just the normal 0-8000. Due to my track car entering street events i will need to go with the one that has blinkers and fuel level. where did you buy yours from?
-
Pretty much the same reason im going to go with the stack dash, not interested in a digital tacho. Some more information, i am looking at the Street-Race series "Stack ST8130M Street Dash Display Max". Has built in lap time feature which looks good but not 100% sure if its worth the extra cash as i do already have a racelogic data logger. From what i can tell from the street dash, it comes with everything needed but the fuel level sensors but i read you can just the stock one and set it up to work with the stack dash. Also i will be looking at getting the 5-Stage Ext. Sequential Shift Light. Personally for the price i think its great value, had alook at some USA and UK website looks like can get the dash for 2k or under brand new. Interested in how hard it was to setup phunky? I will be looking at adding some of the features from the stock dash to the stack dash (plan to get the cf surround for the r33 from sard in japan)
-
Hi, Looking for some information from people that run stack dash in their race cars. I'm looking to purchase one for my r33 and just wondering how hard it is to wire everything up? How does the dash get the speed and rpm reading? Also were did you get your dash from and how much did it cost? Cheers
