  1. he is just honest with the cops, tells them its his track car. the times he has been pulled over he was coming back from the track, cops let him off said just drive home
  2. there is nothing illegal about a half-cage if the car is a rego 2 seater. if you have tint and the cage isn't painted a bright colour most of the time you can't see it unless you are looking for it. but yes coilovers and the rest of your suspension setup should be done 1st before a cage if its primary uses is to increase stiffness.
  3. lots of places But before you ask yourself who can build cage? you need to ask do you want a cams approve cage or not. there is a different in price
  4. a roll cage does not only protect you if you roll your car but it increases the stiffness of the car. It makes a huge different it is noticeable! If done correctly you should have zero issue with the police, even if you don't re-rego your car as a 2-seaters i doubt you will have an issue. A friend has been driving around his R33 with a half cage (strip rear, carpet in its place) and never had an issue. another friend running a full-cage again has had no issue and he has been stop by police afew times
  5. short answer: yes it can be done watch some video-option where they do the SUPER-LAPS they have some impressive figures for their track r32 remove all your glass windows and replace with Lexen/Perspects remove anything that isn't needed (air con, cd player + speakers, redo wiring harness, washer bottles), cut up the doors and any other panels which will not affect the strength/stiffness of the car. also not sure if you can/allowed use aluminum parts (e.g from gtr guards and bonnet), fiberglass or carbon seats etc
  6. sau has really gone down hill, someone post a serious question and people just shit in the thread... good work
  7. ran my r33 with no rear seats for over a year and had no issue with the cops. did not retrim the rear just took at the seats and left it like that. If you rego as a 2 seater and are running a half cage there is nothing the police can do regarding it. Also it is possible to still have the rear seats in with a half cage.
  8. more than happy to come down with the dslr and take some photos for fellow sauwa members.
  9. you would be surprise at the amount of grey euro imports that are around in australia. alot more than you think
  10. shit design. if you want a j-spec brand get HKS
  11. when you lower an r33 you increase the camber (due to the design of the suspension), i would say you have increase camber and possible some incorrect toe setup. the best bet would be to get a wheel alignment they will be able to tell you what you are running then adjust it to reduce the camber
  12. oil cooler kit: HKS Type R

    Buying From Japan

try ebay; if i remember right my mate pay i think around $800 deliver for his kit. also kits are an ass to ship from japan normally cost you a bucket load
  14. all ferrari are RWD
  15. stock bov leaks.... therefore it can not handle any amount of power
  16. you know the reason the car runs like shit has nothing to do with the bov itself, its due to poor install and the stock ecu. Also you will only be able to run one gtr bov unless you want to spend $$$ mod the twin setup to work correctly. just get yourself a stock one, i have laying around you can have
  17. It has ONLY been delay in JAPAN! everywhere else is still on target to get it when they planned. as it has been mention its the big boys at sony not PD
  18. thanks nismoid, do you know if i will need to replace any seals?
  19. Hey Just wondering if it is possible to swap the front housing of a HKS 3037 turbo to the HKS 3037S front housing? Thanks
  20. got mine from Japan and it wasn't cheap. I had to get the 3-section one as the 1-section type was too big to ship. never got around to putting it on my car its still sitting in my room, i try and find some pics for you edit:
  21. HKS GT2835 PROS Or HKS 3037S the 1st is internal gate make good power and responds everywhere. 2nd is ext gate depending on which rear housing you get it is responds and makes good power (400 figures) 2835 pros full boost around 3000rpm (18psi), however as mention above 99% of the time when your on the track you are in your power band so lag isn't a issue. pick your power range, and then your price range. my setup in my r33 (and i use it for drift is) hks gt2835 pros (will be replace with a hks 3037s in feb) pfc, z32, nismo 600cc injectors, splitfire coilpacks, gtr plenum, greddt intercooler, blitz id-3 ebc, hks exhaust etc etc Also you don't need that much power to drift, get yourself an LSD before you start chasing power
  22. v8 are dead? maybe someone should tell that to ferrari? 360, f430. f430 suderia and the new 458 are all v8
  23. false done it more than afew times and my pfc is perfect
  24. nope
  25. Neil from my limited understanding 1way only works during acceleration, where a 2 way works under both acceleration and braking (which i say work i mean lock) 1.5way is inbetween it locks under acceleration and braking however it is not has aggressive as the 2way (jack of all trades) 2way are the weapon of choice for drifters. I'm still tossing up between he 1.5 or 2way and the GT LSD PRO or PRO TT (both nismo diffs)
