  3. nice! i'm also running gtr plenum on rb25det, one of the best mods i have done responds in amazing
  4. Hey, Just after some opinions on fellow members who race/track there skylines. Its time for a new lsd and i'm not really sure which one to pick 1.5 or 2way. The car is use for track work, atm i currently active in drifting but would like to move onto grip events later down the track.
  5. HKS GT-RS Nismo Injectors Z32 PFC + Tune Fuel pump
  6. rb25 or rb26; easy swap, easy to make 350-400hp (you won't even need that much once you start out drifting);
  7. there is a big difference between manual and electric boost controller. most ebc will have gain setup which allow you to bring on boost early (with-in reason, the higher the gain level the more probably you will get boost spike) there is a reason why manual is $50 and an ebc is anywhere from $250-$600. Most of them are very simple to install they will have only 4-5wires, which will be something like : ground, power, ignition, lamination etc some many require tapping into ecu wires but it is a fairly straight forward job
  8. hmm from everything i read on f1 news site, seems like hard/dark times for f1 atm. i serious hope it doesn't fail, i follow it religiously!
  9. Hey Is it worth getting the stock manifold (rb25) ceramic coated ? I have to take mine off as its wrap (from running too much antilag), and don't want to change to aftermarket (too hard with my turbo as i need a new dump and intake pipe) thanks
  10. tein make gas struts for the r33. there are alot of no-name brands on yahoo auction too
  11. really easy job, if your replacing it with a bolt-in pump. in the boot, right side of the battery there is a middle plate, remove that and you can get to the fuel pump.
  12. rumors are when todd left ferrari it wasn't on best of terms..
  13. you will need an aftermarket ecu or even just an safc to start unlocking the power and helping to reduce the lag. Then you will find out you might also need a fuel pump, injectors and afm as your stock ones are maxing out However im guessing the T3/T4 turbo is oldskool and is only plain bearing? (possible only oil cooled) therefore it will be laggy they some somethign newer which is ball bearing
  14. nice pic there
  15. vs just drive it around without mod permits
  16. lol im not looking for an answer i guess you miss my point. way off topic as it is, so no point saying anymore. btw my shitter comment wasn't directed at your car, just what i use
  17. cuz $400 a year is still cheaper than a trailer or the cost of towing the car for a year
  18. or option c: just keep driving it as it is! ffs is not that hard, if you get yellow then oh well hand the plates in and get a trailer. your mods don't have to be legal to have full comprehensive insurance just means that won't be cover in an accident. and yes i do agree its f**king awesome to drive a track shitter on the street, because what better way to get around then a fuel hungry, attention grabbing car
  19. don't drive like a tool, only use the car to go to events or workshop and you limit the risk. why waste money making the car street legal if you only use it at the track waste of time and money, just take the risk and if/when the day comes that you do get a yellow hand in the plates, buy a trailer or look at b-rego also my point about my mate was just because you drive it on the street doesn't mean you will get yellow etc
  20. this is not 100% correct. my mate has a track spec ae86 full cage, strip out inside fix back seats. no front indicators. he was pulled over coming back from the drift practice cop ask him about his car explain it was his track car just keeps the rego as its easier to move it events etc and has a daily. cop could see he was being honest and said no problem just take it straight home then. and he was on his way. why have a track car rego, because its cheaper to drive to events then tow the car
  21. is this to fall in line with the rest of the states, as i know W.A is the only state with b-rego.
  22. i'm not 100% sure but i think permits, b-rego will be class as the normal 3rd party for personally injury. with regards to property, i would say you would need to look a specialize insurer that does race cars
  23. fair enough, its just that i would not be buying the same turbo again. having a turbo unbalance is a pretty big deal, don't understand how a brand new turbo can have this issue if the company has the correct quality control.
  24. lol! what your asking doesn't make sense. if the car is rego you can drive it, but then run the risk of getting a yellow. other option is to hand in your plates. apply for B-Rego which is a race class rego that allows you to drive to and from events and workshops BUT the car can not be driven anytime and if your caught driving you lose your b-rego
