wtf? just to point out my car has only been tune by 2 workshops; hyperdrive and allstar. And the reason it change was because at the time hyperdrive didn't have a tuner and was using Shaun @ Allstar to do their tuning. so yeah i can really see how my car has been to every workshop in perth

no such thing as the best tuner in perth. the best tuner is the tuner that gives you the best results. i recommend Shaun @ All Star; i won't use anyone else im happy with his results and until that changes i will not change tuners

or you could buy a mint one from japan for 85k (only 330km) add shipping and rest of the fee, still be alot nicer than a smash one, and still pretty cheap

Potenza RE01-R are still being made (http://www.bridgestone.co.jp/tire/potenza_re01r/) but they were never available locally unless you went to the specialized Bridgestone Motorsport dealers. I was quote $350 for 235/45/R17 for RE01-R, from the Bridgestone Motorsport dealer in perth. i ended up going with the RE0001 as they were alot cheaper (only $250each for same size); i found them great and extremely grippy, even after 5lap session they were still holding there grip (350hp r33) Also be aware that if you get atop of the line tyre they will a soft compound, so if you do alot of street driving you will wear the tyre quicker than a normal tyre

because the amount is over 1k, you run the risk of it being stop by custom and you having to pay tax BUT its only if they stop the rims, there is no guarantee that they will be stopped (its a game of chance lol)

clearing the brakes shouldn't be an issue as by looking at the details they are meant for a GTR. rolling guards may not be needed pending what size tyre you use, how low your car is and how much camber you want to run

ok just to clear afew things up how wide the rim is has nothing to do with brake clearance; brake clearance is due to rim offset and design. also they will fit just run 225,235 on the front, get them to dial in some negative camber (when you get a wheel alignement) -2degress should be fine, and aslong as your car isn't stupidly low you shouldn't have an issue

the way the EMU does it fuel map. no matter what Allstar did they could not get the fuel map correct, even with 100% fuel the car still lean out in the top-rpm. Shaun and Nick both explain to me the reason why this was happening and it wasn't a tuning issue but an issue with the way the ecu is made/design. If you have time or around the area pop in and speak to Shaun @ Allstar, he will explain why he doesn't like the EMU, and i think its better to talk directly to a tuner to understand why some people just dont like the EMU. oh and fitting the turbo is pretty straight forward; because the kit comes with braided lines it makes it alot easier to install the turbo. All you need is a good socket-set, some open-end spanners, car jack and some other random tools.

my 2cents. sell the emanage and buy a real ecu; after seeing the issue all-star had with tuning one i would stay away from them. Installing the GT-RS is easy job, i did ztuned for him took afew hrs. the kit inc. all gaskets needed (if i remember right) machining of the manifold is not needed, so tell them you don't want it done. Injectors can be a time consuming job, i pay $350 to have mine installed by EVO-R, was quoted around $600-$700 by other workshops. If you got the tools you can do it yourself just takes sometime (can be done without removing the plenum but takes longer) Tuning cost is anywhere from $500 to $1000 depending how long it takes to tune (if i remember right most people charge around $150/hr for tuning) So EMU install (nothing, they just plug it in) $0 Tuning EMU $500 - $1000 Injectors $350 - $700 Turbo $500 (ruff est, @ $100/hr for labor and 5hrs)

love it but i still think MGS: Solid Snake, was the best one. love the flashbacks, also love how they play on the ps3 stuff, and how they link all 4 games together the story line is solid
