  2. i think that is the best idea i found someone in perth with a shock dyno $80/hr, so i see how that goes, should be interesting.... the tein werent my 1st choice but i find it very hard to find good coilovers for the ecr33, i was really looking to get Ohlins but i could only find them for the gtr Really really want the nismo r-tune coilover but again couldnt find anything for the ecr33 (i dont think they make them for the gtst anyways :'() hopfully with the information i get from the shock dyno i should only need a few tuning days to find a balance setup for my current skill level edit: do you know of any website/book etc on tuning suspension (mainly focusing on the rebound and damper)
  3. thanks for that beer baron Because tein doesnt list the Type RS, for the ecr33 its abit hard to find information... but they have it listed for the gtr and it does say something like it does fit but needs to cut the lining on the bonnet or something so it doesnt rub! i look into gett the edfc kit but 2x = $1000
  4. why is that a problem if you daily drive it? when you daily drive a car you drive it normal, your not boosting it all over the place tring to get to the place in the fastest time

  8. thanks beer baron some interesting information, unfortunately i've already bought them, the look of the remote canisters was just too cool to pass up. do you know if the edfc works with the RS model? i check the tein website and it doesnt say. So the RS are similar to your ohlins which have 600setting? (but the rs are only 16x16 = 256setting) i guess for general setup you start in the middle on both the bump and rebound and go from there? is there something like a shock dyno which i can put my coilovers on to find the best point to use them? cheers michael

I've currently got d2 in my r33, they are bumpy but for the price i pay they are a good entry level coilover (i have the track spec ones) I have done drift practices, mc days and a few other sprint days; and found the car to handle pretty good. Im about to upgrade to Tein Circuit Master Type RS, as im looking to get more hardcore about my track time I think you will find most china spec entry level coilovers will be pretty similar if not the same (they are all pretty much made in the same factory). Most people comment on how bumpy and hard the ride is for j-spec coilovers (hks,tein, trust etc etc) but i think it something you just get uses too and if the coilover is of good quality the damper adjustment should help to reduce the hardness of the ride

  12. install everything.. plug in pfc, plug in the figures for the the injectors and z32 afm... and drive to the workshop i was driving around for a few weeks with base powerfc map with 740cc injectors, z32 afm and hks gt2835 pros. untill i could get it tune, just drive it normal and everything will be fine

  15. has been done before, depending on what type you get it can become very $$$ should be able to dump your car pretty low even if your running 9.5inch wide rims on the back. if they are near stock offset +38ish you should be able to get pretty low

  17. sorry what i ment to say is if you fail the 1st time and they give you an extension you are required to pay a fee when you go back to get the yellow off, or so i;ve been informed. Also ossie just try to fix up as much as you can, im sure if you show them you made an effort then they wont have a problem extending the yellow for a few more week. also turn your boost down or off and try putting a metal plate between the gate and the manifold JUST for the pits so that they wont be able to get the gate to vent so it shouldnt be a problem

  21. just to give you an idea Brembo F50 kit with 340 disc Price is $3200 plus shipping so likely to be $3600 all up. (kit is brand new) i guess at the end of the day you have to ask is the brembo kit worth the extra 1.3k?

  23. it will depend on your mods... go find the greedy manual, and it will explain what all the settings are then just plug in some values go for a drive and see what happens
  24. if it flutters then the bov isn't opening therefore the spring is too tight or the bov isnt working
