  1. Ignore them. Im 22 f in melb and have a 33 gtst (I know I know completely dif to you) but I pay about $2200 a year full comp. My cousin is 20 with a 32 gts (note GTS - no turbo) and pays approx $3300 full comp in his own name. Its not cheap. Good luck.
  2. im with gtrhybrid - air flow meter. Mine was on its way out and caused heaps of problems including the car cutting out. Got it replaced and running fine ever since.
  3. I wouldn't wait til the light comes on - the cars practically empty by the time it does. Anyway like SKYLINED says who wants all the crap at the bottom of their tank in the injectors.
  4. Thanks. Can't say my measurements are common so I wouldnt even bother looking elsewhere. A small one would probably pass.
  5. Any chance of getting fitted t-shirts for us girls?
  6. Have you considered that possibly it was your driving skill (or lack thereof) that got you so well acquainted with the pole?? Even if the back does slide out its possible to stay in control of the car.
  7. any car can be bad int he wet. Good luck finding a nice car for you and the Mrs. (ps nice job defending yourself back there! appears to me these guys are just concerned of gettin their arses caned by a chick in 33)!!!!
  8. Hey ApacheX I'd take ya but unfortunately gotta work all day sunday so I'm out for the cruise altogether.
  9. Well said Miss*33. Manual's fun if you can drive em! Unless shes a good manual driver I'd say go auto - theres no problems associated with them.
  10. She should be fine concentrating as long as zzzz keeps his head and hands out of her lap while shes driving!! Usually works for me.
  11. and I meant I love my gtst (not U love it)
  12. P.S. Insurance varies I pay around $2200 per year rating 3 fullcomp. Mine also has a sunroof and I still dont have a prob fittin tall ppl in.
  13. I'm a girl and U love my 33 gtst. Very reliable car cheap to run. I dont think you'd need to consider adjusting power so she could drive it (I'm tiny and I dont have a problem with mine). Even though they have a fair bit of power, they still stick to the road and are very easy to control (even sideways and on full boost). You're height shouldn't be a prob as long as your not in the back seat! bri33sta has a point though - other guys wont be able to keep away from her.
  14. Bf highly recommends them. Particularly the Dandenong store as their db readings are actually lower than everywhere else. Dandy store is cnr Princes Hwy and South Gippsland Hwy.
  15. To me the pillar looks twisted but its hard to tell in a pic. If it is thats not good right guys? Even if it is only $8800 dont forget to factor in the cost of repairs. Can be quite expensive for a good job.
  16. So whats the go with these beenies? I'll take one for sure
  17. mickGTR - might be an idea to see if you can find a workshop which has the new Snap-on computer system. I'm not sure exactly what its called but I know its reasonably new. You plug catridges (compatible to the car) into it and then connect to a particular point on the car and it will instantly computer diagnose the problem.
  18. Air flow meter? Was having probs with my gts-t. Every now and then it'd get a bit sluggish and the revs would drop. Stalled a few times, other times I'd get something like engine/fuel cut out at about 2500 rpms - there was no way the revs could get over 2500. Started happening at 1000 rpm last week got it checked out and found out the air flow meter was stuffed. I've replaced it and havent had a prob since.
  19. Well NVS23Q looks like I make three. Some chicks have taste in cars u know guys - dont always assume its the bfs!
  20. HER-R33

    cruises in Melb.

The ones you are seeing at westall road arent an import or MCCR group. It sjust a bunch of hoons out for illegal drags. You're right but the cops have hit hard - best bet is to stay away. If you do go be careful unmarked cars travel in the pack as well as them sending coppers in their own hotted up cars. they take down number plates and then call you in for a full roady at a time of their choice ($1000 fine for failing to comply).
  21. Does it have to be a QLD company? If not try some of the victorian based ones (ie Just Car insurance). A mate of mine is 30 rating one and paying $800 a year
  22. I know this is a bit off the track but how does the HICAS work on the 33's? I just got one and I'm still learning the ins and outs of everything.
  23. Try LA Performance at 52 Downing St Oakleigh. Not sure what he's got in stock but if he doesnt have what you want he'll be able to put you on to someone who will.
  24. Sounds like your happy with the car. Did you ever establish what grade it actually was?
