Koorby they are right. The new 2012 model will have 570hp+! Also further suspension and downforce improvements. A special Track Edition is also coming. http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?app=uportal http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/156388-new-gtr-evo-being-launched-weekend.html

In my opinion I would take the r33 sedan over a coupe any day (that's because I have one ) as also agreed by my friend who use to race with Aryton Senna, and I love the look of the back it's a lot more modern than the coupe in my opinion. Coupes are as common as assholes as quoted above..lol I also can't understand how people can like the R34 sedan!?! looks like a box on on four wheels.

Godzilla hands down. The fact the some of the guys on the UK and US forums who HAVE driven and owned a Ferrari say that the GTR is the best car they have ever owned says it all!

Spotted 20min ago, Black R35GTR JDM parked on York Street near QVB. Got to see it take off, and oh boy IT WAS THE FASTEST CAR I HAVE EVER SEEN TAKING OFF! You could literally feel the energy it was making and putting to the ground. P.S Interesting that a R8 passed by just before the GTR took off :-)

Ring times in trying to shave an extra second or so might not be relevant. However developing the car at the Ring is very relevant.

Having read the article carefully I would have to agree that some pretty trivial comments where stated by the article. Such as how the GTR does not turn in as sharp as the GT2; well given the fact that the GTR is 4 wheel drive, weighs 300kg heavier and the engine is at the front of course it is not going to be as sharp. I think as GTR fans we should be humbled that it is now being compared to the mighty GT2. I terms of acceleration times the GT2 didn't do much better, I believe manly due to the gravely surface on the run way as indicated in the mag. As for the track times, the GTR is only a little over a second slower running on Bridgestones instead of the grippier Dunlops.

Hi Gary, I am interested in the group buy and have a few questions: I drive a R33 GTST sedan, currently I believe they sit on some aftermarket KYB shocks that came with the car. Measurement from centre of wheel to guard is 365mm. Current ride quality is pretty bad, as I belive the shocks are on the way out, as rebound is becoming non existant. Anway my questions are: 1. If I was to purchase the Bilstein/Whiteline kit which items will I need or exclude from the group buy set, given that I have already installed: - Noltec upper outer front control arm bushes with adjustables - Noltec front radius rod bushes with adjustables 2. A stupid question: At the lowest height setting, from my understanding, this is achieved with the 3 circlip grooves 8mm apart =24mm lower from the standard 350mm, how will the ride be? I gather this correlates to the set-up of the whole suspension? Thanks for your time.

What Persuaded You To Get A Skyline?
godspd replied to Modena's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
When I opened those pages of Motor magazine almost 14 years ago, when they featured a article of the R32 Vspec vs the Supra RZ. It was love at first sight, which has over the years become a true passion bording on obsession. Finally was financially able to get my first skyline GTST 2 years ago. -

Just fitted a set of Toyo T1R's last friday on my stock R32 GTR wheels, so 225/50/16. $180/tyre fitted at Blairs Tyres. Driving for two days and it has been raining, scoring so far: Ride Quality = 8.5 Dry = 9 Wet = 9 (yet to fully test them out) -
Is My Suspension The Problem, Or Is It Me?
godspd replied to bombastic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeap it's a RB25DET, but it's an auto though, so take off is relatively slower and not as quick as a manual, so I don't have any problems with traction with the Sava's. I am not saying the sole cause is the tyres, it does sound more like your suspension needs an overhaul but the tyres do make a difference. Just fitted Toyo's T1R's and I have to say they make a difference in terms of ride comfort and soaking up pumps over the Sava's -
Is My Suspension The Problem, Or Is It Me?

I think that your tyres could also be contributing to the harsh ride, as I also have Sava Intensa tyres and mine are only 16", and if you examinie the tyre compound, they feel more like rocks than rubber. I am getting new tryes this weekend to Toyo TR1's and I believe will add some difference in ride comfort. Just a word of caution for eveyone: Sava Tyres Grip in the Wet = 0 (have gone ice-skating more than once in the rain) -
Thanks guys for th response, and especially the links to take me to the appropriate threads. Steve thanks for the info, sounds like a very good deal. Cheers.

Has anyone fitted "G4 Racing" coilovers? If so any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I am thinking of getting these for my skyline. Reason being can't afford the likes of Tein, and these looks like good value. Only reservation I have is that the spring rates even for the street entry coilovers are very high, so suggesting a very stiff and hard ride. 13(F) and 8.7 ® Kg/mm. Thanks. Dave.

Actually, it didn't sound that loud from our car when it passed us. Only when it was gunned in the underpass, to which I thought it sounded bloody fantastic. A deep bellow turning it a high pitched scream, just like how a super car should sound, and IMO sounds better then the holden and ford V8's. Also from what I understand a twin system should be quiter under cruising conditions, as it reduces the resonance compared to a big cannon system.

Can't agree more, gotta say loveed the twin exhaust setup on the white GTR , very curious on what make it was...as the sound that come out was sex to the ears...
-
Yeah that's the one, CYIFLY or something...

Hello All, This Sunday while travelling with my grilfriend in her car on Castle Hill Road towards the city, two fabulous R34 GTR's passed us followed by a WRX Sti. The frist GTR was white and the other Bayside Blue. Just wondering if it belongs to ayone here on the site? Especially loved the white one, with the twin exhaust, and man it sounded bloody fantastic when whoever stepped on it through the underpass of Pennet Hills road, and boy did it go, really made my day.
