  3. Hi people I've got an r32 non turbo with an rb20de for sale. It has an exhaust, tinted windows, climate control slotted disks with stereo system . the car is clean both inside and out with long rego. It's done 165,000 km. The car is available in Melbourne for inspection.

Hi people I've got an rb20 in my car at the moment with heaps of mods like splitfires coils and injectors ect and i've just come across an engine with an rb 25 bottom end with an rb20 head this means i can keep all my performance bits as well as my aftermarket computer. So what do you guy think?? is it worth it and how much power can the engine make with the rb20 head (i hear they don't flow to well). it's got all the aftermarket bits turbo, fuel, ignition, computer. Hi People I have a high mount turbo setup (complete) it includes NEW High mount manifold, t3/t4 xs power turbo .5 front A/R and .63 rear A/R rated at 500hp with lines and flange (redone by Rotormaster new bearing and balanced 4 months ago) and a imitation tial wastegate. All components are in perfect working condition making 241rwkw on an rb20. The turbo and waste gate have been on my car for a total of four months so they are in great condition The reason for sale is that it was a touch too lagy on the good old rb20 full boost kicked in a touch over 4500rpm and i got sent out two manifolds instead on one. This is how the manifold looks on an rb20 Same brand manifold (sorry grim32 for stealing the pics hope you don't mind) And this is what it looks like with a turbo attatched Here are pics of my setup i'm looking at $900 complete + postage if your outside melbourne and pickup is available. This price is cheap, cause to get the turbo redone cost me $400 Cheers Anthony

  10. Hi people i've got a set of hks cam gears sitting at home which i got for free. Now instead of putting them on and then spending $350-400 geting it dynoed and tuned (that's what the quoted to tune the cam gears) i was wondering what you guys have got yours set up to see if i can find a middle ground which will net me inprovments and save me potentially $400. What i'm really looking for is an inprovment in off boost power and spooling power like improvments from about 2500 onwards, i don't really care if i get any gains in the the top end cause my top end is pretty sweet. any help would be great.   11. Hi people I understand the concept of the higher the duty cycle the more boost. My car makes full boost at about 4500rpm so what would happen if i set the avcr to 100% duty cycle up to about 3500 to 4000rpm. That would just mean that the wastegate stays completly closed and wouldn't that mean it would spool up alot quicker???? just trying to get the point where it hits full boost a little lower.   12. Hi people Just afer a littel help. I've got a big turbo set up in my 180 with an rb20 in it. Alot of people said get some cam gears and dial it in to improve lag, so i thought why not. I've got a pair of HKS adjustable cam gears and was wondering first of all how to install them and second of all what should i set it too. The turbo i have on it is a gt30r .6 A/R front cover and .63 A/R rear cover with all the supporting mods. Should i even bother putting them in?? cause i don't have after market cams?? Any Help would be great. Cheers anthony
  13. Hi guys Yea yea i know this has been done to death but every time i do a search on it i don't find exactlly what i want. so here goes. At the moment my car is making 241.3rwkw at 17psi with the good old rb20det, it has a t3/t4 ebay turbo on it which i must admit am very happy with (best $320 i've spent on that car) but it kicks in at full boost a little over 4500rpm. So what i'm after is a turbo that will make the same power or above but make full boost somewhere between 3500-4000 rpm and when i say full boos i mean 17psi. I also want the turbo to be able to make that power without turning up the boost more than 18psi. I've got a gt30bb turbo which is about to go in it's a .64 rear housing and is rated at 500hp now can anyone give me a definate answer of when it'll kick into full boost and what psi will i be making 240 to 250rwkw. Cause if it's to laggy i'll sell it and get another one. so people post up and tell me which turbo best suits my application. I don't mind lag but i feel like i'm waiting an eternity if it slightly bogs down in 1st. mods that relate to the turbo are a SS manifold Tial wastegate 3 inch Zorst with highflow cat airfilter running of a map sensor and all the other suporting mods to get the power Cheers anthony
  14. Hi peoples Well it's all fixed. it actually was the ignitor. what are the chances of me getting a dud from the the wreckers. I couldent believe it when i took it to my tuner and he checked everything and said it's your ignitor i told him that it couldn't be cause i got another one from the wereckers. so we tested my ignitor on another r32 and it wouldn't start. so i went out and baught another one for $150 and she works like a charm. Anyways went back to the wreckers today to return the ignitor cause it wasn't working and he basically told me to go and get fu*d he said that there's somthing wrong with my car and that's why it wasn't working anymore. Oh well what can you do i guess. Thanks for all the ideas guys. Always helpfull Cheers anthony
  15. Hi The fuel side is definatly working we can hear the injectors and we took the line out and petrol went every where when we primed the car. We checked the spark by taking out one of the coil packs and putting it against a screw driver and no spark we tried this on 3 different coil packs and still nothing. We changed the coil packs and still nothing. I'm going insane. Cheers anthony
  16. Fuel is definatly gettin to the injectors cause we checked the pressure in the lines when the ignition was on. The microtec looks after fuel and ignition and the standard looks after everything else. . Or so i think. Cheers anthony
  17. How fo go i check the CAS?? i took it off and turned it and it started making clicking noises in the engine bay. is does that means that it's working?? Cheers anthyony
  18. Hi People I really need help. I went to pump petrol, got out of the car filled up $40 came back and it wouldn't start. My car has been sitting at the petrol sation now for 3 whole days and it's not firing. The engine turns over the fuelpump prims and then nothing. I've changed the ignition module on top of the rocket cover and nothing. I've checked the coil packs and nothing. The problem is that the coil packs arn't firing at all and that's why it's not starting. I've checked the coil packs and there is a small pulse going to them but apparently it's a positive pulse and it needs a negative or some shit. The sparky had a look at it and i really don't think he knows what he's doin. He told me to get the ignition module and that didn't do anything and now he's telling me to get a new ECU. The car's got split fire coils and has a microtech ltx12 as well as the standard computer. So if some one can help me that would be really great. Cheers anthony

Hi people I've got an rb20 running of a microtech lt 12 and was wondering if the O2 sensor was needed to be connected.Cause at the moment it aint. the wire's cut from the microtech cause at the moment I'm gettin really shitty fuel economy and i was wondering if i put in the O2 Sensor would it make a difference?? At the moment it does backfire a fair bit. Also my car's making 241.3 awkw but it's running a little lean up top goes to about 12.6 on 16psi, my car has got all the fueling mods like. Walbro 500hp fuel pump and GTR injectors which have not reached 100% duty cycle. i was wondering if there are any ideas why it might be running a little lean and up top. I'm going to change the fuel filter soon, could it be that??? On 14psi it's runnin like a dream with a very safe Air fuel ratio of 11.9 to 1 so any ideas to get the car to run richer up top would be good so i can wind more boost into it. any help would be great Cheers anthony
  21. I thought it could be that but i made sure that the setting was on 6 cylinder it's got a swich at the back which changes it from 4 to 6 to 8 cylinder. Thanks for the reply. Cheers anthony

Hi people please don't flame me for having a monster tacho but i got it cheap and my in dash tacho isn't reading right because i got an rb20 in my 180sx.Ive got a type r Tacho off ebay and i've tried to splice it into the standard ecu, the Microtech comp and the tacho wire behind my dash and from the wire of my apexi AVC-R but it doesnt even move the tacho. however when i put it on the negative wire on one of my coil packs it moves but is alot lower than the real rpm. some one help me get the bloody thing working. please. like i said i've got the typr R taco's does any one else have one tof these and can you let me know what you did to get it working??
