Evade it is. He wasn't driving it too hard. He didn't seem full of confidence, as it was his first time out and it's probably like riding an explosion. Ran it all day without any issues. I guess if you crash it, it's not like you can buy another one on the Monday. I asked him what a replacement would roughly cost. He reckons it's about $80k worth. James, you should challenge him to a battle with your Atom!! Just grab the keys. No one would even know. ... For the record, his wife also has one. Somebody wanted just a shell built for an expo, but he said he'd end up with an un-driveable shell, so someone else threw him some running gear. it's not as angry as the one in the pics tho.

A very unique ride that I saw @ Winton yesterday. Has a 3.2L 300ZX TT engine in it. Dyno'd at 320KW atw, has a carbon fibre skin and weighs around 900kgs

12 months ago, I saw a black Maybach being delivered on a truck in Southbank. I gotta say, they're quite ugly when you look at the first pic above!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know of a decent exhaust shop around Glen Iris -> Melb CBD? Thanks

Hi All, Ok, so I have a Volvo, but the mod scene isn't as I it in the Jap market. I am curious as to whther anyone in Melbourne knows any good exhaust suppliers/installers. I am after 2.75" dump and 2.5" free flow exhgaust. Anyone know anyone in Melbourne? Melbourne's East who is reasonable and a skillful tradesman? Seems exceessively over-pricey. Anyonw know anymore??

Brand New Hks Evc 5 Boost Controller
Mean_R34 replied to yc89's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, can I ask why you are selling a brand new EVC? -
Sorry for the re-post. I only checked Vic section and checked first 2 pages, so it musta been elsewhere. The issue I see is that as Australia is so far from Europe, access to all the cars would be trickier. James would have been good on it. He should know a thing a too by now about the exotics.

http://www.finalgear.com/ - main story. The Australian version of Top Gear now has it’s hosts — Motorsport commentator Charlie Cox, cartoonist Warren Brown and driving instructor Steve Pizzati. Currently a motorsport commentator for the BBC, Cox, 47, is known for his classic one-liners. He worked in radio in Sydney in the 1980s before moving to the UK where he won several motor racing titles in the 1990s and was involved in a near life-ending crash in 1995. Brown, in his mid-40s, is best known for his work as a cartoonist and motoring columnist for The Daily Telegraph, but also has a passion for historic cars. The third host, Steve Pizzati, is the youngest of the bunch, in his mid 30s. He is an advanced driving instructor, freelance motoring journalist and a race driver for Porsche Australia. Sydney Morning Herald motoring editor Josh Dowling will act as the motor industry consultant.

Feast ur eyes... (not for ghey speed internet connections tho) as it's a HD clip... http://www.gametrailers.com/player/34539.html The bit at the end I call plain cheating, but the graphics are so sweet! A birdy told me it is already available.

Pity you're not in Vic mate. -
Today in Sydney I saw a VX SS commo. Hung around until he drove off to hear the exhaust note. Yep, was a GEN 3. wtf? V8 = uneconomical.

Generally taxi's are a hit & miss experience for me. I've ridden in many that you'd swear the wheels or suspension is about to part company with the car. To my suprise, I caught two respectable cabs today. The first was a G8 Fairlane Ghia and the next was a VE SS (6L V8), who after I showed interest in, wasn't afraid to give it some stick. Economically, it begged the qn, "Why drive a V8 when it drinks so much more juce?". His answer was that he had a Falcon 6, but missed the powa. Haha, I think we can all understand that reasoning. Anyone else been in a standout cab ride?

Yeah ditto CRASH. Frikkin' awesome movie!!! Had me thinking long after the credits had rolled. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375679/

Not specifically a car, but drivers who yet let in, or pull over to allow thru first on a tight road with cars parked on kerb and they don't even show the courtesy of a wave to say "thanks". That's my hugest pet hate! Such as easily done & near effortless gesture of human repect and decency. BMW drivers appear to be the bigest offenders, followed closely by stuck up looking euro SUV drivers. I just bird them now if I don't get a motion of thanks.

+3 for footage. Give it up Shanusr33!

xr34x, I'm sorry to flame you, but what a load of utter crap that post was. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what we have done to the environment. I don't tie myself to bulldozers which are about to knock down forests, but I do care about the environment and our kids future. The industrial revolution probably kicked-started this issue, but we've just recently realised it in a world-wide sense. If everyone took your attitude on-board, we'd be screwed in no time. Be sensible, see the bigger picture and think before you trash an initiative like this. Not only is Earth Hour helping the environment, but it's also helping to increase public awareness of the biggest issue of the decade. Well done Bec for reminding SAU people of this most significant event!

I was last week quoted $405 per corner for 215/45/17 RE-55's from Box Hill Donellan's. From previous history, their prices are pretty hard to beat.

Hi all, I am after a 3" mandrel bent exhaust for my Volvo. (Yeah yeah, spare me the Volvo jokes). Looking for a reputable workshop, preferably around the Glen Iris area whom someone can recommend from previous dealing, not coz it's their best mate. I want someone who doesn't mess around, is reliable, a good tradie and is reasonably priced. Before Ash cains my a$$ for this post, it would probably be a good idea to PM me the details as it's frowned upon here to ramp up or flame a workshop. Rightly so I guess. Many thanks in advance, Dave.

How about an old Turbo Diesel Landcruiser? They would tow a house and you wouldn't notice til you looked in the mirror. Would be kinda thirsty around town, but prob use less juice towing than an AU as they aren't working as hard.

Anyone tried these Fedral's and did SAU ever snare a discount from them? Any idea how they compare to the Hankook R-S2 for track work? Just they are a cheaper alternative to the RE55's.
-
Here's an idea. Next time Nissan, do a farken global release so you don't have to ran an internal manhunt! Tossers!
-
Distorted screeching blanketed any idea we may have had of the sound/performance of the car. Looked like fun tho.

GP Friday after work at the BBC is chockers. If the weather is kind, it's a great night out sitting on the lawns. My hot tip is to go inside to buy your beers and get served within 30secs. Otherwise you queue for 15mins+ at the outside bar with the other sheep. Strangely I was one of few who realised this. See what the booze does? haha I might crash your little get together.
