  1. I think people shouldn't take their dyno reading to personally. A dyno is to tune the car. I've seen some cars sive different reading on the same dyno's. My one had about 160kw at the rear at Hills and 180kw on 4 wheels on croydon's dyno.
  2. Just wondering, when turning into a corner at fast speed and down shifting, does the car snap out?
  3. The Blitz DSBC stands for Dual solanoid boost controller. The Blitz S-Sbc (also type S i think) is for the single solanoid boost controller. The dual controls boost better.
  4. The HKS filters should be changed every 3 months. Why not fit it yourself? It's a simple job and HKS one comes with all manuals, brackets and all that you need. I honestly recommend something else as I've got a HKS one on my WRX and I notice a far amount of dirt in the inlet pipe.
  5. I don't think it's a custome one. I think I saw it on the JMS site for sale before.
  6. Didn't v-spec's have electronic controlled split diffs???
  7. Can you please send that e-mail to me thanks. [email protected]
  8. I think eveyone should give up on waiting now. It's taking too long and this tread is growing too long.
  9. I have sent an e-mail out to Sadictic and Ashley today, but no response. I want my money back now. No questions asked.
  10. Cause you cannot alter the signals inside the engine management system. Not all EMS have a hand controller.
  11. Not all 4WD cars have their motors mounted north-south. Look at the Mitsu EVO's.
  12. People tend to forget the first role of the air filter. It's is to FILTER air. Some of the higher flowing ones don't filter out as much dirt in the air, but give high HP readings. Restrictive ones don't give as much HP. There's no need to spend big bucks on air filters because they give only a few KW's of difference, which you won't feel!!! Who can tell the difference if their car has 0.8kw more? From experience, the HKS flow good, but it lets too much dirt get inside. Plus the filter paper is not re-usable. The Blitz filters are expensive and also let in a far amount of dirt. The best one I've used so far is K&N, but just be careful not to use too much oil when re-washing it. Don't know much about the rush ones though.
  13. Electronic boost controllers holds boost better, and doesn't allow boost to spike as much. The bleed valve types also have to be adjusted inside the engine bay, where the EBC can be done in-cabin. More convenience that way.
  14. I can't see why turbo timers would be illegal. In no way does it make the car emmit more toxic fumes or anything else.
  15. Car detailing stuff. Neon lights for your bonnet. (NOT!!! Don't even think about it!!!) Good brake fluid. Good engine oil Good gearbox/diff oil.
  16. Check out this thing.... Pug 406 Super Touring car. So many gizmo's inside!!! I won't go into details but the guy was bagging out how old the current V8 Supercars are in terms of technlogy. Like how recently they "discovered" in-cabin swaybar adjustments. Or the hydrolic jacks to lift up the cars. This stuff was in this car and was built back in 1997!!! More like V8 Stone-age cars!!!
  17. Stuff this!!! If I don't hear something back that's positive today, I'm getting my money back. Probably spend it on the suspension instead.
  18. Errr... ndr, It's Michelin, not Pirelli.
  19. It is important to get the ratio aspect of your wheels correct because it's what is of most concern to the police. OK, some cops say that having rims 2 inches over standard is illegal, but that's a load of s**t. Their concern is that by having incorrect profile will give you the wrong speed reading. I'm not sure if this is the case in other states but I know that's what the RTA in NSW are most concern about. Also be aware that having rims about 1 inch in width over standard, some insurance companies will not pay out on claims because wider rims=wider tyres=aqua panning in the wet.
  20. I don't think that the one in Targa Tassie stacked it. Cause didn't it finish somewhere in the top 10? Anyways, should've seen the thing go!!! Even better was a Super Touring car out there. It was a Pug 406, built back in 1997. It was lightening quick, and when changing gears it sounded like a F1 car!!! :uh-huh: The guy said he only uses the clutch twice, when starting the race, and when coming to a halt!!! Dog box. I've got some happy snaps and will post some up soon. But I'm gonna do a technical feature on it when I get my web page up.
  21. Any car with 4WD will have some sort of trouble with their gearboxes. But saying that, I reckon the GTi-R has a better box than a WRX.
  22. You can, but I'd rather work with something that has a more balanced package to begin with.
  23. I saw this when I was out at Wakefield....
  24. Spot on! They understeer pretty bad. Test drove one and will never even think of wanting one again. But if your after the straight line, their pretty good. As for Garry Blogg, never will go there when I'm buying a car because when I was looking for my R, they simply ignored me. Bad customer service.
  25. I've always used ryco and never have any complaints. Once I tried a genuine holden VL filter and found it was a bit more restrictive. Note that I kept using the same oil (mobil 1). Sounds like your guage was playing games and could just fortune.
