  1. Hey, was checking out your car the other day on AusRotary and was considering asking you wanted to swap but spewing your in VIC as would like to see your RX7 as it looks like it goes pretty hard. If you were in NSW i would consider checking out your car but tooo far. Rob
  2. Thanks mate as it was a hard decision as i was originally going to put in an RB30DET but now going to go away from pistons for a while and go back to rotaries.

  5. rwkw to flywheel kw is about 20% difference. rwkw X 20% should give you flywheel KW. Ive read its about 17-20% difference depending on the car but i think 20% is about right. Unsure about 4wkw ?
  6. RB25 turbo is alright to add as thats what i had last on my RB20det and got just over 180rwkw (If dyno was correct) Its a good cheap mod to do as it will change the way the car feels with more top end and a little less spinning at bottom end as boost cuts in a little later I heard a better mod is to add the ball bearing turbo from a S15 200sx but dont know anyone who has done that..
  7. 210kw on Stock injectors..... hmmmm, Anyway my injectors are maxed out 100% duty at 197kw at the wheels and dont think its possible to get much more out of them.
  8. SOLD, SOLD, SOLD, SOLD Original R32 GTR Mags Rims have been sold, thanks for all offers. Ive got a set of original R32 GTR rims for sale. Tyres should be replaced as front are about 30% and back are less but you could drive around with them for a while. One has a slight gutter scratch but nothing bad as seen in pic. The other 3 are perfect. Price i want is $650 Will not send by post as prefer pickup. Im located in Sydney near Wetherill Park. I am selling them because i need to Tune my car as just added new turbo and will be adding new injectors hopefully next week so need tune/dyno. Would also consider swap for Tune/Dyno. Rob
  9. Hey SluggerS13 Did you end up putting them in and did you take any pics of finished result? I bought the 10ohm, 10Watt as found another site which a couple of people claimed they used them. I once found a page which someone posted pics and full instructions of Jarcar resistors installed but have been searching for weeks and can not find it. Spewing. thanks.
  10. Hi Mate, Sorry for delayed reply. My mate said it is the orange wire but after i checked out a few sites about my car (R32) it states that you can also use the Boost Presure Sensor which is that little black box that the original Boost Gauge is connected to as this will give a correct reading. If not you can connect it to the TPS.
  11. I suppose it also depends on how much it would cost to machine them and also how perfect they make it. If the cost is too high to machine them and also depending on cost of postage and duty to import bearings, it might not be worth it if you are only saving a small amount? If you search the net you can find GT series turbos for less than $2000. I got a GT30R for $1700 but also found a guy in the U.S which said he would send it for US$1050 not including freight. Check out how much someone like Precision turbo's would machine before deciding anything like this. Hope that sort of helps.
  12. HI SydneyKid Thanks for above as i was always curious about any differences between them.
  13. Hey SydneyKid, Just curious about how you mention that the Map sensor input to the PowerFC where as the R33's dont If i happen to use a PFC from an R33 on my R32 should it work? The reason i ask is because i have been using one for more than 6 months now with no problems and always wondered if there was any different between the wiring or connection? Also is there any difference between the AP PFC and Apexi PFC? Thanks Rob
  14. 6psi.... Maybe i did do well getting 35min out of it considering boost i was running.. lol Thanks.
  15. Cool, im not the only one. What boost was he running? Mine was sitting on about 11 psi Yeah stick to garraett. Do you work at Croydon Auto?
  16. Hi Just to warn anyone who is considering being as stupid as i was and try an XS Power turbo.. DONT.. They are only good as a paper weight and nothing else! It lasted 35min until bearing started making a sound and then dead.. I have now bought what i should have bought from the start, a Garrett GT30R which should run a lot longer than 35min.. I knew they were cheap but thought i would get a least about 12 months from it but didnt think it would only be 35min.. lol Now after reading a lot of different forums i have found a lot of people who have had many problems with these turbos and wish i had read them before buying one. (My fault for not researching into them) Basically they are made in China and should not be used in any form of mechanical operation except maybe to Stop an Automatic door from opening but unsure if you can count that as Mechanical operation. If anyone else wants to comment, feel free as it might make me feel better. Rob
  17. Hi Shaun Im considering getting a GT30R or a Garrett T3/T4 for my RB20 and just wondering what rev range the GT30 would start getting boost at when you had it on your car? Ive heard some people say it will not get positive boost until at least 5000rpm? Is this true?
  18. I am running an Apexi Power FC from an R33 RB25 on my RB20 with no problems. Ive been running it for about 6 months now. Just needed to be tuned. Got it running myself straight away at home before i drove it to get tuned.
  19. Hi Use a multimeter to determine which wires do what as thats the only way you will know for sure. I changed my fog light switch into my boost switch just using a multimeter but cant remember what wires i used off the top of my head? Sorry couldnt help more.
