Ok i know it sounds bloody weird, but it is true i have an APEXi dual chamber BOV on my ceffy and when i connect it up, my engine continually stalls when i clutch it above 3 grand revs. Its like the idle control valve doesnt have time to level out the revs properly and my car just stalls. now as soon as i disable the BOV my car is fine and drives like a dream except for the flutter through the air filter my questions is, will a differant brand BOV solve this problem? will placement of the BOV further from the throttle body help? will a plumb back BOV make any difference? any ideas or help appreciated.

Lacking Performance In Cold Weather
SideWaysChef replied to SideWaysChef's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Noise, thats exactly what should happen a huge improvement in power should be felt with colder air nah, it wasnt just lucky justin911. I have never been to the strip before, so am a totally newbie plus my 60' times improved every time and as for my engine being hot, it stayed at a constant 70oC with at least an Hour between runs and i gave my tyres a shit burnout for the 16s runs so that cant be it either but as for the sparkplugs maybe that could be it i originally had iridiums gapped at 1.1, but changed to stockies at 0.8 as it seems to be the norm for everyone in australia but will give my car a go with differant plugs and see how she fairs -
Are the side skirts Uras as well? i have been looking everywhere to find out what skirts i have on my car and now i finally know

Was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before and what the solution was. I took my car to the drags last night to try and confirm some problems i have been having. My car seems to lack power the colder it gets which is exactly the opposite of what should happen. Anywas at the drags last night i went from running a 16 sec time to over 18 seconds at the end of the night due to the cooling of the air. totally cant put my finger on this one as you should be able to run better times due to the air becoming denser at night. any ideas?

WOOhOO cant wait will be good to see some pro live drift action in WA

Just make sure you laminate the permits after you get them as quite often they will rip them up to prove no point at all that $35 bucks usually covers up to 5 mods

Thanks for that man Hopefully the S13 at the wreckers tank is in alright condition is good to be able to finally drive my car on the limit without it shittin up on me

Well i got adventurious last night and decided to pop the pump and everything out low and behold was a fist full of dirt floating in my fuel tank. Someone obviously didnt like the previous owner in japan i ended up having to drop the whole tank out and scrub the whole inside of the tank as it was full of mud and rust it still aint perfect so im going to have to look for a new tank eventually but for the moment it is alot better and actually runs normally below 1/4 tank
-
Thanks Riverside THink that will have to do the job until i can afford a surge tank just seems like one thing after the other with my car at the moment but ya get that
-
My brother is currently attempting a V8 conversion into a R31 isnt reallly sposed to be practical or anything, is just a burnout car but so far it is looking good

Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem with there cefiros When i get to 1/4 tank left in my car it starts acting like shit spluttering, poor acceleration and just generally runs like poo I fill up the tank and straight away its fine again was think it could either be 1. Dirty muddy crap in the bottom of fuel tank 2. My fuel pump is spittin the dummy and cant maitain pressure with less than 1/4 tank 3. its just my imagination and its not really happening let us know what you guys think, or let me know if you have had similar problems thanks

Cefiro Wiring Diagram - Help?
SideWaysChef replied to QUIKBLADE's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Just use the r32 gtst manual for anything relating to the engine and ecu man. Anything apart from that gets a litttle bit hazey as i tried to test my FUel pump with guidance from a manual and the connector diagrams were slightly out. Search the forums and you should be able to find an link to a manual. If not PM me -

-
I just rang up nissan spares and they wanted $134 each for the tie rod ends I think im going to make mine last a little longer and buy a set from Tein instead
-
Be greatful it works for you man mine doesnt and it pisses me off makes tryin to drift a dog cos when you clutch it mine drops to much and stalls

Hi I Need Help On Where The Water Temp Sensor Rb25
SideWaysChef replied to HKSGT25's topic in General Maintenance
Let me know if you find anywere to locate a oil temp sender I had the engine out of my car and couldnt find anywere to put it. About the best i can do is buy a sandwich plate for the oil filter and tap on into this -
I have been interested in setting this up on my Cefiro I have a gas research carby that can be hooked up in place of the throttle body I have heard that tuning is highly important as they are very prone to nasty backfires I really want to set this up for the power gain(if you fill up at KleenHeat Gas and get the good stuff that is around 110 RON) and also the low cost fuel. Is extremely hard to find someone who has had experience setting this up on a forced induction car

What dimensions is it? Should be interested in purchasing next week hopefully

Gaskets And Bolts Snapping Off In Head
SideWaysChef replied to SideWaysChef's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well i managed to rip these bolts out of my head. The first 3 took 20 minutes to do, the last one took me 2 hours due to a drillbit snapping and wegding itself inside the bolt. anyways the easi-outs worked fairly well for 2 of the bolts. I tried the screwdriller method for the other 2 though and it seemed far easier, and would have made it alot cheaper. As my bolts had snapped in the head i simply drilled 2 very small holes next to each other and used a flathead screwdriver bit for a drill. it was so easy unscrewing them just using an 8mm socket I wish i had of tried this way first instead of spending 20 bucks on the easi-outs
