  1. I did a decent job of taping my coils up, worked fine for about 1 week then back to the same old crap of laggin round 4500-5000rpm have since poured some octane boost into a 1/4 tank of petrol and it now revs straight to 7500rpm definately think the coils can be a bit of an issue but is more likely due to poor octane ratings of aussie petrol just took my car for a thrash with the boost wound up to about 1 bar and it is still loving it why oh why dont they sell some decent petrol in australia
  2. Im pretty interested in buying it would come in very handy i think does it fit all Nissan i have a cefiro
  3. I used to work for shell i dont think they have any plans to bring optimax to the west for some time bastards I want my 4 cents off optimax guess ill be shopping at supa valu now
  4. Thanks for that info mate that is alot cheaper that what ISASO wanted for them Ill be giving them a call in the morning to organise a set
  5. Would have to agree with Steve there, once the back end steps out with a mechanical LSD it is so much easier to control. you can hold ya foot flat and goes were you want, instead of everywere else Im sure having a lock bar on mine has made it just that little bit better aswell And you get way better launches
  6. Have recently taken the electric tape approach Has had a huge improvement on the power in my car no popping and missfiring at 4500rpm is still however lacking power around 6000rpm, but it doesnt missfire, just lacks power I did however find a neat way to fix the carbon rod which comes out the end of the coil pack One of mine had totally fried out, along with heaps of corrosion on the spring I had an old distributor cap off a Gemini lying around and sure enough the carbon rod was the same size Bonza, old crappy coil turned brand new saved me $80
  7. THe damage seems pretty minor man I would probably just try to get some touch up paint and paint over the cracks for the time being I could put some fibreglass on the bottom side to re-enforce it if you wanted but i would probably leave it until you totally ripped the front lip off on some big arse nasty kerb. Anyone that fixes that is going to charge you way to much if you want me to quickly re-enforce it for you let me know send me an email at [email protected]
  8. I just took my Cefiro for a proper thrash after putting new oil into the gearbox and diff It runs fine now, not a sound out of the bugger, sept for the sqealing of tyres as it goes round and round figure 8's are fun even if you arent wearing in the diff
  9. I can do it for you man I do all my own repairs to fibreglass How bad is the damage My front and rear bar had shitloads of drift damaged done to them, im surprised the things even held together on the ship to australia I have the necessary stuff to do a paintjob aswell, but you are probably better getting someone else to do it
  10. My car does the same. I own a Cefiro which has the same diff. I'm told it has an aftermarket LSD, havent looked as to what kind yet. I makes some nasty noises when cornering at low speeds so im guessing it has a 1.5 or 2 way LSD. i have just changed the oil, using what is specified in a GTR manual HYPOID lsd GL-5 80w-90 I havent tested it out yet as the car is still on akle stands but will let you know this week if changing the oil has improved the noise My car also has a Hicas lock bar and the camber is set at 1'5 degree's at the rear Im not sure if this is adding to the problem
  11. Spotted a nice tidy white cefiro heading down Leach Highway past NorthLake road in Melville(WA) Sunday arvo around 3:30pm Nice looking car with fat intercooler hanging through the front bumper.
  12. Yeah, i looked in my dodgy old gemini and they have the same thing. Wasnt sure if it was the same for new cars. Would appreciate it if i could have a look I just got measurements of a guy at ISASO, but he told me they needed and end bracket to bolt them in just really need to see what the brackets look like Please email me or send me a text when its alright to look at them 041 994 6415 [email protected]
  13. Im going crazy its taking me forever to get my car on the road I just spoke to steve from isaso and he doesnt make them anymore Great timing if anyone is able to measure theirs up and let me know how long they are i would greatly appreciate it
  14. Whats is your email man I just took some pictures so ill send them to you
  15. yeah, jsut take both bits to a keyman, and he should be able to make a copy
  16. I justed looked on my cefiro and it has two very large locking nuts(obviously with washers in them) on the end of the lines. the rest up past the diff has been disconnected and taken off and the line is zip tied to a mount under the car. I just got this car from japan, but from looking at it there is a spot close to the engine were the whole line can be disconnected you would just have to find a bolt that fits to plug up the line will take photos soon
  17. If you skyline is misfire over 3500rpm, do a search on the topic of misfire. seems it is often the case that the coil packs start sparkin were they shouldnt be. If you rip out the coil packs you should see a light powdery residue just above the rubber cups which is caused by the smallest of cracks. Just tape it up with insulation tape. as for spark plugs, mine came with iridium NGK bcpr5IX-11
  18. Yeah, the guy at ISASO just said i could bolt them in with high tensile bolts. Any chance i can look at yours sime time soon JK I just need to measure up the length of the bars so i can get mine cut to size. Would be a handy way of cutting down people's cost in getting them installed THey quoted me $1000 to get them installed, they only cost $500 at the max to buy and 2 hours of your time to install how easy is it to drill a hole in a door and bolt them up?
  19. Thanks for the info guys talked to a guy at BrightSteel in Welshpool today He said he had the right grade of steel I just have to find out what size it needs to be, which could be the tricky part
  20. hmmm such a tease oh well, im off to find some deserted out of the way roads to indulge in the baking of perfectly good tyres
  21. Does anyone know were I can get some side intrusion bars made up for my cefiro? I only know of a place in queensland, ISASO engineering, that was mentioned on another thread, but he has been putting his prices up since his demand has obviously increased Would prefer someone local to Perth, but anywere is good as long as its cheap

  23. Hmm I think you have some very good idea's going their Steve I'm sure if enough people got in the face of the state government to build one it might just happen then they would be able to keep all us drifters off the streets
  24. I have a greddy temp gauge mounted on the A pillar, aswell as a blitz boost gauge mounted in between the speedo and rev gauge just behind the steering wheel. This is how they were when i got my car from japan The boost gauge only really blocks off the view of the Automatic controls RDN12
  25. Are you serious nooooooooooooooooooo what am i going to do its like im being forced to terrorise the streets of perth :flamed: oh wells guess i will just have to wait then
