  1. bunch of 32's have been repapped using the rom tuning technology speedworks have, the issue with r33's is they use a flash style memory which can be tuned via the console port, the japs have the bits to do it, but no one here has yet developped it..
  2. props here for wheels world, i tell him what i want it to do, and he makes it happen
  3. nice work on the skyliner making it in.. ps theres a couple pics of my stupid thing in the perth-wrx review

    cat

Probally seeing how loud his exhaust was at a guess.. its a bit hard to tell if there no cat in there unless you nosed is set to pick up excess emissions, tho a bad tune could also have the same effect as no cat.. ok, no cat will give you a slight performance increase, less restriction and all that, yes it is smelly, yes it is illegal, no i don't advise it, the 10k fine is real as far as i know, but i belive its an EPA thing, not something the DOT hand out, and unless you've really upset someone i seriously doubt they bother, id say its more a thing that they use on companies than individuals.. if your cars a daily runner, leave the cat in, you'll do yourself and the eviroment a lot more good and less hassle if a cop does pull you and spot it, unlikely but hey it happens.. if yours ia a weekend racer and you use fancy stuff like antilag, then get a cat replacement pipe, lots of antilag usually melts them after a period of abuse, but throw the pipe in on the day and pull it out that night, can probally get them made up for about $50 at your local exhuast shop with the right flanges, and take about 10 mins to swap in and out..
  7. Niz its the trials and tribulations of owning a modified car, its either in with both feet or you just leave it as a stockie and drive it each day without a care... hope she returns the way you want..
  8. hahahah i saw the r33 witht he gt-r and spec r badges on sat night grabbing a pizza, i had to stop myself from laughing as we walked past..
  9. Read this http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/trans.htm Bear in mind hes talking about stock power figures, so the % rule goes out the window, its more of a guide how to work out your losses.. and check the main page out, hes written a lot of techo stuff on why estimated figures to flywheel power are wrong.. i really doubt your loosing 80hp through the drive line.. http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/mainmenu.htm
  10. tj 440 RWHP doesn't mean 500 plus fly, specially on a RWD manual car, add 25-30 hp for drive train losses.. not trying to take away any fame, but you just don't loose that much power..
  11. motoring south west also run $10 track days which ar emostly drifter crew.. next one is onnnnn the 26th of june..
  12. AFARCC usually head to collie now days as to hire the track at waneroo was 2.2k last year, and i think its gone up again this year.. it costs about half of that to get collie, and hire the now needed ambo and fireys for the day.. in the end the cost saving goes to your cost, and IMHO collie is a more technical track than waneroo, i really enjoy going back to collie, waneroo while still fun is kinda boring.. collie are also all ok with drifto time.. ill let you guys know when the next one is..
  13. Or if your in the middle of perth, Speedworks in 4a carbon court.. Aj can do tuning, but not sure if hes done a mircotech or not, alternatively Rotomotion do a lot of microtech, mainly rotary stuff but they are very experienced in microtech..
  14. nexus 30 meg doesn't worry me, fire away
  15. Lordy, its half accurate to, the signs and stuff on the left hand side of the shot heading into the esses actually exist, the tents and stuff ont he inf ield don't tho, any chance you could do a whole lap?
  16. The speedworks silvia is being leased for this years race season, so taking it down to the drags and running the risk of breaking something a week before a race meet isn't an option.. Always next time..
  17. theres a few places that sell wheels your looking for, wheels world which is in the same builind as speedworks who can look after the car at the same time jash at c-red sell buddy club wheels and can also look after the car..
  18. grab a pair of verniers and work out the turbo outlet size, and the manifold inlet size, and go from there.. BIG tip, do not under any circumstance use mild steel, stainless or ally only, mild steel will rust and send flakesof metal through the motor, which will root it..
  19. Even tho i saw you after, top work Ant, all the hard work and effort is now justafied, shame you can't really go back unless you destroy a perfectly good car.. thats racing i guess tho, lets see how she goes at drag combat..
  20. ah snake ohhh its a snake
  21. there was a jappo version of the maxima that had a turbo strapped to it, friend of mine used to own one, not sure how common they are here but you might be able to find the running gear to swap into one
  22. There the same pad, as all the 4 pot sumitomo callipers use the same item.. the ultimates do not fad dan, ive done 20 laps non stop at wanners braking late and hard each time, they do not fade after a few hard stops.. if they where fading for you, put in new fluid, because its not a pad issue, when doing pads you should consider how long its been since a fluid change..
  23. For a cheap pad, bendix ultimates are fine, especially on a road car, going to anything that is a partial or full metal pad is a stupid idea of a road car as it does nothing but destroy the rotors, and they squeal like stuck cops.. and they handle a beating fine, i used them for trackwork and MC without a hassle..
  24. aj from speedworks can do haltech, and has done a large number of mitsu based cars.. dave from jrt is a haltech distributor..
  25. someone lend me a car and ill drive
