  1. It was a good day and a great turnout for a great guy that won't be forgotten. Thanks to all those that turned up. I managed to give the car a quick clean after the skidpan day and go along, the sedan came in useful for taking cruise pics Some pics of the day can be found here - Jason Grey Cruise
  2. Nice pictures, its always good to see some quality shots.
  3. Get SK's group buy kit. I have had bilsteins before on my old 33 GTST coupe with some Jap springs, bilsteins with king springs on a 33 GTST sedan, APEXi coilovers with 400lbs FR and 225lbs R and revalved to suit on my 33 GTR and now that I have gone back to a 33 GTST sedan I got SK's kit with the special bilsteins/ whiteline springs and sway bars and it is by far the best combo I have had so far. On the road it is the most comfortable setup I have had so far, yet hit the corners and it feels light and flat. At the Skidpan day I went to yesterday it felt excellent, car was easy to control. . . . . can't wait to give it a hit at Queensland Raceway with some semis on
  4. You won't be disappointed Dave. I have played with alot of different suspension setups now and I just put the SK shock/spring/sway bar combo on the sedan and I have to say I am very impressed so far. Can't wait to lay down some times at QR. . . . . I also was considering the Tein super streets but got SKs package with Shocks/springs/swaybars/pineapples and new dustcovers and bumpstops delivered to my door for less than the cost of the Teins alone. . . . . You can't beat that. And like you know, I have played with Jap coilovers revalving and changing spring rates. . . . . I thought the final result I got was pretty good but it still doesn't feel as good as this. I think people get too caught up with all the adjusty shiny bits. . . . .
  5. If you are local maybe. . . . .
  6. yup. I have had 2 series 2 manual sedans. They have the same under bonnet layout as the R34s, were the battery and washer bottle etc are concerned. The seats still don't fold down though. . . .
  7. The series 2 R33 sedan is the only one to get. The battery is back under the bonnet so there is more usable room in the boot. Everything about the drivetrain is the same as the coupe, the exhaust will also just bolt up but you may find the tip of the exhaust may look a little short as the sedan boot is about 100mm longer. Hope that helps.
  8. Do you still have these?? I skillfully lost one of the centre caps on my Volk GTPs a couple of days ago. . . . Then I remembered this thread. I assume they would be a definate fit for the GTPs? Anywayz, are they still available?

  10. Yeah, plan your fuel stops. You can make it to Coffs pretty easy from here. I usually filled up there, there is a Shell on the left just as you are leaving Coffs. Then you will need some fuel just before Sydney, you might make it, but I was always too scared to try There is a Shell at Kempsy too.
  11. I reckon yours would be 8.5" up front Mud. Standard 33 GTR rims (17x9") up front on a GTST completely fill the guard (really need them rolled) and on sharp turn the inside of the rim rubs on the suspension upright. Another half inch would be impossible without flares, a widened guard of some sort and a different offset of course.
  12. I will be there again in a club display. . . . Just a different car this time Hope the weather holds. . . . . .
  13. If you change your mind about posting (I am in Brisbane) I will take it.
  14. I am just not really into the cruising thing like I used to be. . . . . sorry. And I have a person coming from Sydney to pickup the mini I sold so I am kinda stuck with that Sunday and to sound testing at Mt Cotton Saturday.
  15. The only thing I am going to do it get a peice of aluminium and extend the front of the shroud right to the lip so it doesn't break catching too much air at high speed and flexing down too much. Here is a pic showing the inner guard fitted (who would know. . . hehe) -
  16. It actually fits a little better than the Stock 34 one as it is about 10mm shorter so it isn't as much of a stretch to re-fit the inner guard. But it all bolts up exactly the same as the stock one, apart from the shroud you wouldn't even know its there . This has only given me an extra .5psi, if that, over the stock 34 cooler, so they are pretty good. I am assuming though that this should flow a few more KW once I start getting up there, but I am only aiming for 180ish rwkws atm. Thats heaps for what I want to do . . . . . Bring on QR!!! I thought is may be a TRUST one, but the other TRUST one I have seen had TRUST stamped onto the top of it, and the ARC ones have that metal badge stuck on the top. . . . not sure what it is. It has a Nismo sticker on it but I have never heard of Nismo making these???? BTW, I will have a Stock 34 for sale now. . . . This
  17. After picking up a PWR radiator for the GTR I spoke to them about those barrel cores. . . . . Not really a feasable option, purely on the room aspect. . . . No way you could fit them to most newer road cars, especially the GTR. Anyway, I just want to stick with the SMIC for as long as possible. I just get annoyed when people run out and get a big FMIC for there nearly stock cars. I am going to hold out for as long as possible. I am interested to see how it goes in the coming months at Willowbank and QR. . . Should be fun I have a shroud which I had to modify a little to get it to fit but should make it work a whole lot more efficiently forcing all the air through it.
  18. In my quest for subtle mods and to keep the defect man away I have stumbled across this side mount intercooler (SMIC) as a stock replacement. I have now fitted it and my boost has risen from 7psi to 8.5psi so it definatley flows better, its cooling ability is yet to be tested. It certainly looks impressive for a SMIC, must be that 100mm thick core! Here is a couple of pics comparing the different SMIC for the R33 GTST. The Stock R33 SMIC, Stock R34 SMIC and the Aftermarket R34 SMIC. Notice the size of the air galleries, not at many as the Stock R34 SMIC but considerable larger. Maybe it will flow better, but not cool as well?? Time will tell.

  20. I have just come back from working up North. . . . . Am I too late for this???
  21. I am in! PM sent
  22. I had a 33, and the only time I was getting 450km+ to a tank was when it was in Limp mode ie, 6psi boost or something silly like that. Or H'way driving could yeild those sorts of results. Around town though forget it, 400 was the best I could do. I only had a full exhaust (turbo(s) back) and panel filter, still running stock boost and ECU. Probably could have improved that number with a PFC as with the exhaust it started to run quite rich. TommyK had a 33 I do believe. . . .
  23. Happy Bday Mate!!
