  1. I have only ever gone on the skidpans organised by SAU, the pricing and time on the track sounds very similar. I would say it is a pretty standard type thing through all the driving schools. Andrew is good, sooooo much REAL experience to draw from when talking to him about modding your car properly, he is just VERY up front and can't deal with know it all ricers so some people find him quite offensive. Oh and don't rush him
  2. Thats fine, I broke my ankle 2 weeks before a skidpan (damn basketball!!) and had to give my spot up, to 'Oz' actually. Everyone can't always make it, I am just saying in my 3yrs of hanging around SAU everyone always want these events, then when one does come available they are hard to fill.. . . . . . its rather disappointing. More of these events would be organised if they were easier to fill. And it is possible to do the LVMA with a semi-loud exhaust you just can't do the skidpan. I think the LVMA is more fun anyway And you certainly don't need a fast car to enjoy the skidpan, it really doesn't matter at all, you will still have a ball and learn a lot about you and your cars ability.
  3. Don't need CAMS license to race at QR. Again why are there so many track day experts that I have never seen out there????
  4. I have attended countless track days over the past 4 years and I always carry all of my own gear there which includes a full set of track rims, 20L of spare fuel, tools, jacks, chairs, food. And the GTR has no tow bar. . . . . or my old GTST. Why do people make out that track days are so hard and there is a 90% chance you are going to kill your car????
  5. hmmmm, I voted for the track type events as most of you would prolly expect me to. I couldn't help but notice it is currently leading the votes. . . . . . Why is then Skidpan days tend to take a while to fill and I can rarely muster up any interest from people on here for the track days I attend???? People saying they will attend and actually turning up on the day are two totally different things. . . . . .
  6. What year is the car?

I imported this car 2 yrs ago, it was an auction grade 4.5 car and had 56xxxkms on it at that time. It now has 85xxxkms on it and they have all been trouble free. My modification path has tried too make this car as reliable as possible and to improve the braking and handling. Its probably a good platform for someone to chase HP as it is probably the only area that hasn't been touched yet, it is fast enough for me The car has been serviced at least every 5000kms using Motul engine oil and Motul Brake Fluid. Gearbox, transfer case, front and rear diffs are using Redline oils. Anyway, this is a VERY reuctant sale but I am sure in the not too distant future I can jump back into a GTR. Contact Details: [email protected] or 0400737044 I have a lot of the stock bits still laying around still and also a 2nd set of BBS LMs in 17x9" with Dunlop DO2Gs 235/45 which can also go with the car if wanted. Some Pics

  9. Just the standard 33 GTR size all round, 245/45. I had them sitting there in the garage as I changed the rims on the GTR as soon as I got it. I just thought I would give them a trial fit one day and they never came off On the GTR I think they looked a little small but on the sedan they looked really good to me....... Manual sedans are pretty tough to find, I searched the auctions for a while before I landed that one. The manual sedans often fetch higher prices than the coupes too, crazy!
  10. Yeah, it turned out really well. Disappointed it isn't in my possesion any more. The 33 GTR wheels off my car really set it off well I think. They are all just standard Nissan Type M Skirts and front lip as far as I am aware. Was all plastic not fibre glass. Everything about that car is off the shelf Nissan....... I wan't it back
  11. I have the whole assembly too!! Just a standard one though. . .
  12. HAHAHA, gotta love the black trans-am and the 70s porn star moe and cowboy hat
  13. I just want a dry day so I can post some real times I think something that could make the list a little interesting is, if its known, post the 'at the wheels KW' the car is running. Might put a litte different perspective on the list. . . . . Where are the mods making this Sticky???
  14. Edited previous post, had to upload a few new pics
  15. The series 2 versions are the go, actually has a bit of a boot as the battery is relocated back to the front of the car, like the 34s Here is my old manual sedan, have to admitt I am thinking of selling the GTR and if I do I wil be finding another of these. . . . And sideways like all good family sedans should be I love the skidpan!!
  16. Pretty sure those rear lights are standard series 2 fair. This was my old series 2 sedan that I imported 1.5yrs ago in manual.
  17. Who can top the opening Lambo scene? . . . . . Can't remember how many time I re-watched that as a kid
  18. You wouldn't happen to know the offset would you??
  19. Correct! IMHO the only guy to see if you are setting your car up for a little track work, not just big power. . . . .
  20. Hey, contract is better. That is me, you just don't get paid for that day...... its well worth it!! The only ones I plan on on missing at this stage is Feb and Nov
  21. hmmmm, I might be good for the events later in the year. Will have to see how the finances are going also, its shaping up to be an expensive year
