Ahhh, nice work. Yep I did see you down the end of the pit area along with the silver series 2 33 and Keith in his white 34. Was a pretty good day, weather was near perfect. Oh, and btw, less power mods, more suspension and brake mods, its the only way to go. I only have full exhaust and nismo panel filter as power mods on the GTR too, but plenty of suspension, brake and cooling mods and a good set of tyres. Sorry mate, no pics. My designated photographer didn't take many pics. They are sacked!

Just wondering if anyone else made it out to QR today for the sprints? I went out for a blast in the GTR, was good to give it a go for the first time on my Dunlop DO2Gs. My god they make a huge difference. Slashed my previous PB on the clubman layout by 2.4s. Managed 1:03.15. Pretty happy with that effort, still on stock boost even

Just buy the Type R car specific kit that is for 33 GTR. I bought one for mine when I got the TRUST oil cooler kit that sits in the driver side wheel arch. It comes with everything you need to plumb it back. You only need to change it to make room for the oil cooler, its a pretty tight squeeze with a 16 row cooler and BOV plumbing in there..... I had the twin Apexi dual chamber BOVs on the car when I got it, the cooler fitted with that kit too, but I wanted to plumb it back, so I went the Trust Type R BOV.

Certainly is!

Brand New Cusco Tension Rod
jlnewton replied to jlnewton's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Just cut this from Chiba_Osaka_boy's thread; Tension Rod Bars Stabilizes alignment and bracket rigidity. Links the brackets and reinforces the tension rod mount area. It is made of 22mm steel. It is bolt on and you turn buckle allows pipe tension adjustment. Never got to fit it to test it. . . . Would have looked pretty sitting between the Cusco Caster rods too -
Brand new Cusco Tension Rod. Never fitted, doesn't clear the Trust sump extension which I have on my car, very dissappointed. SOLD Will fit R32 GTR/GTS4 and R33 GTR/GTS4

I have the old one off my GTR. It was cool, not sure if it fits though. You can always try it. . . -
The White 33 GTR was me. First time I have taken it out since I 1st got it a year and a half ago. Not really a drag person prefer circuit stuff but was fun to get out there again, even if my final time was a bit disappointing. Congrates on the times btw.

Haha, now who is old Warwick Happy Birthday bud
-
Happy Birthday Erin. All the best!

Pretty certain the GTST is a differnet one. The packet only says 32, 33 GTR and GTS4s.

I don't bother doing the hang out scene, but brisbane has good, close access to some good tracks. Track days, whether it be circuit, drag or skidpan are on regularly, if you are keen.

Warm up the car before going?
jlnewton replied to markOhR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I am with slow13dude, even if he doesn't like 33s. I wait till oil pressure is up before I move, by the time I reverse out of the garage, close the garage door and stuff around it prolly idles for a minute or two then I don't boost at all till I see the oil temp guage register something which in the R is just under 70 degrees. Then its on! But that takes ages now with the bigger radiator, enlarged sump and oil cooler. . . . Gets a little tedious. -
Hi Geoff, The tension rod is just a brace that goes between the two castor rods, where the castor rods attach to the chassis. Supposed to help stiffen this area to help keep the suspension geometry true during heavy corner loading..... And it would have looked really pretty sitting in between the Cusco caster rods and Trust sump extension and trust front diff cover Oh well, the sump got in the way so it wasn't to be..... EDIT: This was cut out of Chiba_Osaka_Boy's thread:- Tension Rod Bars Stabilizes alignment and bracket rigidity. Links the brackets and reinforces the tension rod mount area. It is made of 22mm steel. It is bolt on and you turn buckle allows pipe tension adjustment.

What sort of price would you be looking for?? Who is doing the compliance?
-
Ouch Peter, that hurts. I am sure you have something good planned for it though . I just wanted a go this week, my car feels very good, but it wasn't to be, should be all fixed by the end of the week. Just want to see if these subtle improvements make any real difference to my times. . . .
