  1. Sorry James, can't help you there. My skyline knowledge is basic services, brakes, suspension, and interior. Have yet to really play with major engine bits. I can tell you how to replace the needles in a pair of SU carbs if that helps.
  2. Afternoon all.
  3. I just gave mine a tub too for the cruise tomorrow. So dirty after the Thursday cruise in the wet.
  4. What do you mean, I never speed. That is some seriously bad luck there Ken, shall keep an eye out for the culprit. I am waiting for something like this to happen to me, I lost a number plate somewhere between here a Sydney. I am sure someone is planning a major bank heist using my plate as we speak.
  5. The mini is a good one for a cramped back! And yes there will be no drinking and driving, just a couple to look like I am being social, see yas!
  6. mmmm, better go, I am supposed to be at Garden City by 5:30pm for a few drinks. An engineer is leaving one of the contractor we do alot of work for. Better turn up to keep in the good books, you never know where the next contract is coming from. Might be back later
  7. My back is so sore, I hate working on cars. Correction, my backs hates working on cars.
  8. Congratulations on the job Glenn, enlighten us.
  9. Afternoon guys.
  10. Morning all. Mmmmm, I need more sleep.
  11. mmmm, sleep is good.
  12. hehehe, there always has to be a spoiler
  13. Hey, do your assignment!
  14. Got the coilovers rebuilt here http://www.shockreco.com.au/. They also advised and got the springs for me, which really aren't a good match. Whiteline and Nengun supplied all the other stuff. And LEDA suspension did all the work. They are located in Brendale, just north of Brisbane. Thanks Sydneykid. Knowing what I want the car for, what would you suggest for a spring rate up front? 350lbs, 450lbs or somwhere in between. After driving the car some more today, I definately think it needs something heavier than 300lbs.
  15. mmmm, I think I might go start dinner, feelling a little hungry.
  16. Ahhh, buying a new car is fun, especially when its a skyline.
  17. I shall see you there! a little lower this time though. I haven't put the back seats or parcel shelf back in yet. That should give me some street racing cred. hehe
  18. Yeah, Glenn needs a friend.
  19. Pretty sure I will, what time are you getting there.
  20. I don't believe it for a second!
  21. The old man had a complete 1/2 in sidchrome socket set, but its all AF. His metric sockets must all be cheap crap as I have destroyed 2x17mm, 19mm on the skyline. I don't understand why it all has to be so tight. My 3/8th repco set is just too small, can't get the leverage.
  22. Have to admit, I was driving the GTST yesterday and hung the tail out a bit. The GTR gets a little boring in that respect.
  23. I would, just make sure you have got some good quality tools for the job. The only reason I didn't do the job myself on the GTR was the first bolt I encountered ripped one of the old man's sockets open. Damn it was tight. Time to invest in a decent 1/2 inch socket set.
  24. mmmm. On the back I have the entire upper arm from Cusco to do the adjustment (its actually off the old GTST, same part) and it would have to be the easiest thing to change of all the suspension parts. Having said that, I fitted the front camber bush from whiteline to the front and they were a bastard to fit and a bastard to adjust, but there is no real other way. I fitted them to the GTST and got them fitted to the GTR.
