Engine conversions are against the rules. And yes, it will be the Lions, 4 in a row as long a Voss can stay healthy.

Very nice. I was standing out the front of Surpass Computers showing a few of my mates the mini which has just been taken out of retirement and you stole my thunder! lol.
-
Shitta cruise huh sound like an idea. Looks like I will be turning up on Thursday (extra work has been put off for a little while, I might just bring the mini for a strap for something different. Don't forget the GT minis standard performance features strutto: 1275cc, extractors, 1.75" exhaust, twin 1.25" SU carbies and wait for it, front disc brakes! Plus a tyre upgrade, Yokohama A008s measuring a huge 165/70 R10! Its funny how things change, I always thought the mini went alright, but now (apart from its cornering ability) performance is, well, kinda lacking.

The old man has got Yokohama A539s in 215/60 R15 on his Commodore and he loves them. I have Yokohama A539s on my R33 GTST too in 235/45 R17 and I will definately be getting them again. Very good in the wet, can't break tranction in my 33 unless I dump or slip the clutch and gives confidence around the corners in the wet. Makes the car feel slow though, which is good, but boring if you like a little sideways action.

Saw a white R34 GTR on Moggil Rd this afternoon at about 5:30. Sounded sweet! Looked alright too!

I have ditched the skyline for a while and have got the mini. The plates and rego sticker arrived for it today. How funny is it to drive! Might take to the next Mountain run and show a few skylines how to take the twisties, what do you reckon? Pity I would be half an hour behind after the up hill section!

Managed to get today off, how good is it. Although I reckon I am busier on my days off than when I am at work. So far I have got the tyres taken off my BBS rims and put them in to get machine polished, picked up my new number plates for the mini, picked up the DBA rotors and race front pads for the R and paid Customs/Shipping and GST. Needless to say I am feeling broke. Has anyone else seen the white GTR for sale on the Moorooka Mile, not sure which yard it is in, only noticed it this morning, didn't bother having a look. Too busy. I am off to somewhere with air-con.
-
You should be able to get them through wothout extra charges but every now and them you will have to pay import duty and GST. It is just luck. I have bought several things from nengun and other places without a problem till my last package from Nengun which is currently held up in Customs. Just let Brent know when this happens and he will "help" you with the info you need.

I am interested, might be too busy though, let you know for sure closer to the date.

My car is currently getting unloaded, not long now. Its only been over two months in the making so far!

I have a couple of Unidens too as I use them for work, just forgot to chuck them in the other night. Have to remember for next time.

Yeah, was a good turnout. Wish I had the luxury of just getting out of bed, didn't get home till about 12:30ish and have already finished work, just walked in the door. Nothing that an afternoon snooze won't fix. Don't know when I will be able to attend again, I will be very busy from here on in especially during the week.

Can't be bothered giving mine a wash, haven't been washing the line as much as I used to, ever since I "modified" the front bar on that piece of kerb. Its too damn hot anyway. Looks like its going to be a good gathering.

Good stuff! I might have to come out to a Wed test'n'tune again soon, its been a while, I have been waiting for the temps to drop a bit.
-
Mark, There have been sightings of a silver 34 GTR at Willowbank tonight, I didn't go myself. Was that you? If so how did you go? Interested to know. I remember the Wed test'n'tune when you first broke into the 12's, I am thinking you will go a little quicker now after following your mod threads.
-
Is that with all your stereo gear still on board?
-
Sounds like it was markr34gtr. He said he was going out ASAP as he has just tuned his car with all the new mods, HKS 2530s etc. What time did he run, he was hoping for 11s with his new found 300rwkw+.

Does this mean I have to give mine a wash?
-
All true, but I was speeding, didn't intend on speeding, was is no hurry, but the windows were up, climate on, nice tunes and no other cars around me to gauge my speed. It just crept up on me not hard in the line, especially after driving a mini around most of the day. I was happy to wear the fine (well happy as you can be), I was doing the wrong thing, so be it. I would have been my first speeeding ticket for four years, must be getting responsible or something. That is what made it weird for me, youngish male driving import skyline which doesn't look or sound standard, caught doing speed limit +17km/h, admitted that he thought he was doing +15km/h, well lets give him a warning?? Not that I am complaining, I just really wasn't expecting it. Besides I can't be bothered arguing most of the time.

Yup, should easily be ready in time. Don't know how the drift will go, I was pretty ordinary with RWD but just wait till the time trials, no witches hats this time! You never know, I might bring the mini! FWD Drift!
-
Thanx for the PM Strutto, this will probably be my last week of weeknight freedom for a long while so I will be there.
-
That is the strange thing Nismogirl, I was in the Skyline! I had already dropped the mini off and had got a lift back to get the Skyline. I am definately counting my lucky stars. I am sure that is my once in a lifetime let off though. Knore: Got the shipping notice today, Car arrives in the Brisbane port on the 13th! So close! Its finally starting to feel like I have purchased a GTR, can't wait.

I had just come off the Hornibrook bridge about 4ish this afternoon, after spending a small fortune getting the mini roadworthy and re-registered, and was heading back to Brisbane, when as I rounded a bend there were two motorbike police with their laserguns. Busted! One had already pulled over a lady in a white cressida and unfortunately the second one got me. I got my license ready and he walked over and said the usual "Do you know what the speed limit is through here?". I replied "Yeah, its 90, I pretty sure I had crept up to about 105ish". The police guy then replied "Yeah I got you doing 107. He then took my license and went away as they usually do. I sat in the car swearing and bashing the gearstick. Here is the weird bit, the Police guy then returns, hands back my license and says, "I pull over heap of people everyday and everyone of them has every excuse under the sun, I have heard them all, because of your honesty I am goig to let you off with a warning, it would have be 3pts and $150. Keep your speed down and have a nice day". How good is that! That truely made my day. Lesson, just let police do there jobs, don't be a smart arse and you never know, you might just get let off. Cheers to Redcliffe police. My record still stands, no points lost in the 2.5 years of owning the line.

Unfortunately I got called into work, the joys of being a contractor. Sounds like it was a good day though, hope plenty a cash was raised.
