  1. I would be in if it is late July. The weekend of the 5th July I have to drop a new motor into my work van and the weekend after that I am in Sydney. It is all good after that!
  2. Fitted new 4000 series DBA slotted discs to the front of my 33 today. Look very nice! Won't be able to test them out for a while though, till I bed them in. I went to fit the rears also only to find they have given me two lefts. Great! I am sure it will take me a few weeks to get that sorted. I have put Bendix ultimates in for pads at the front as I ran out of cash and they were one of the cheaper options. I shall see how they go. Some people like them, some don't, I shall find out first hand.
  3. Nah, everything just fits, I think computer thingy you speak of is the HICAS computer. The shelf did act as a spacer as it is thicker were the speakers are. Not sure by how much though as I didn't make it myself. The Infinity 6x9s are quite deep though and yet everything still fits ok. There is probably only 5mm separating them though, its a tight squeeze, but if you are not going to go to subs in the future it will be worth the effort!
  4. Mine will be couriered up on Tuesday. Looks good benm! Can't wait.
  5. I have my stacker cable and RCAs going under the centre console along the driveline tunnel, then under the back seat. I then ran it through the same hole as the wiring loom. Don't like running them so close to all the other power wires but it doesn't seem to pickup any noise. Must have good shielding. That was the shortest route I could find. Don't think it would be possible without taking the back seat out.
  6. It was a tad expensive, cost me $250, but considering it took the pros 6hrs to make with all the right tools/materials at their finger tips, I think it was worth it. I could never have made something that nice anyway, no matter how much time I spent on it. And the best thing is it looks so neat and factory like that know one would suspect what in their. The only draw back was the strong resin smell I had to endure for a week, just had to leave the windows down in the garage to let it air out. That price was bargained too btw as I am a repeat customer!
  7. Gave it a go last night, came up well. Meguires fine cut. They have a fairly extensive range, anyone use there other products, just want to know as it is quite expensive and don't want to fork out for a trial! Are they as good as their price tag suggests?
  8. Yep, just got my email too! I will have to wait a little longer, delivery and all, but who cares, next weekend they will be going on!!!!
  9. Yes, Dimensions please, very likely to be interested
  10. If you space them, or make a new shelf, angle them at 45 degrees, you will have know problem. Or if you are like me and are too lazy get someone to do it for you. Here is mine. I am happy with the result. Pics can be found here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=15486
  11. Yeah, I am 5' 10/11" and my head comes pretty close to the roof, but I also have a sunroof. I am going down to Queensland raceway in a couple of weeks, never thought about it before, I hope the helmet won't be an issue!
  12. Never cut the springs! Springs are relatively cheap, $320 will get you lowered springs from whiteline. King springs and pedders do a set of lowered springs as well as Jap brand such as Apexi, Tein amongst others. I wouldn't lower it too much past 30mm, maybe 40mm but you will have to replace the shocks aswell, as they won't last long anyway. My car was lowered when I got it and I wasn't aware that the rear shocks were still standard, they flogged themselves out within 10000km. You will introduce other hassels, depending on how much you lower it, such as excessive negative camber at the rear, but ulness you are really picky about tyre wear (like me), that probably won't bother you. I will say it again, NEVER CUT THE SPRINGS!
  13. I love my Alpine, had it for 7 years now and its in its 4th car and still rocks, very good quality.
  14. I have the whiteline camber bushes in the front and cusco adj camber arm at the back. Both work very well, the only problem is the front bushes are a real bastard to adjust as they are hard to get at. Your wheel alignment guy will definately be swearing by the end of it. I went the bushes at the front, as the fronts are pretty good and don't really require much adjustment, whereas the back required quite a bit of adjustment. If I was to get the bushes at the back I would definately get both bushes each side for maximum adjustment.
  15. As a general rule, I can't see the point of the 300 high cooler as half of it is hidden behing the bumper doing nothing. I have a GTR style front on my gtst and the front opening is only about 220mm high and 700 or so wide, so I can't see the point of going bigger in height unless you cut the bar. I was thinking of getting a custom core made to fit this height or I have also been looking at the VR4 cooler as they seem to be reasonably priced in the second hand places. It good to get a power rating on the VR4 cooler, thanks Zahos. Are you happy yours? The flow rating suits my future plans, is it efficient in dissapating heat? Is there much pressure drop?
  16. Oh well, even though it is dissappointing having to wait, it gives me more time to make a choice on brake pads, so many differing opinions on whats good and whats not!
  17. Got Bilstein Shocks fitted to the front today to match the rear. Feel much better than the blue, whatever they were s. The old ones felt like the had no rebound control, used to bounce all over the place, probably just stuffed. These are much nicer. If it rains tomorrow I might do the pineapples!
  18. Thats a pretty good price, my original quotes started at $590 for the pair.
  19. I think the part number is the same as the for R32 GTR, the part no. can be found on the bendix site. I have heard the EBC greenstuff are supposed to be pretty good, but they are a fair bit dearer from the prices I got the other day.
  20. One more thing, would these be delivered to our doors or would we need to organise our own freight or pickup or something?
  21. I would be interested in the non plain C/F bonnet for the R33 if the price is right. Wouldn't mind being able to verify the quality somehow aswell. Probably need a time frame for this group buy, as I am in the dba rotor group buy aswell. Don't need them to come all at once!
  22. Welcome, White skylines rule!
  23. I got the rears in Feb for $245.80ea or $491.60 for both and got the fronts today for $255ea or $510 for both. Thats the cheapest I could find.
  24. I think Ed would be your man on that topic. He started the sticky above. Lots of info there.
