  1. Come on guys lets get those numbers. Do we order now or do we wait until the numbers are up?
  2. I have put Cusco adjustable caster rods and whitelite adjustable camber kits up front, and a cusco camber adjustable upper arm at the rear. No more alignment problems no matter the ride height. Well worth the money to have perfect alignment and save those tyres!
  3. I should get my 33 back tomorrow. It is currently getting my Apline CD head unit and 11 band EQ fitted in the 2 din space, 5.25in Infinity Kappa splits up front, Infinty Kappa 6x9 in a custom shelf up the back, Soundstream 4x40RMS Amp and a the new Alpine dual bus/MP3 capable 6stacker fitted. I had a 10in Kappa 10in sub which I sold about 4 years ago thinking, "I will never use that again". I can't wait to get my car back tomorrow and have some nice sounds again but I think I may feel a little hollow with no "real" bass. Do you guys thinks it will be worth going subs? (Gee I wonder what the answer to that will be?!). And what is good at the moment. I like clean, tight bass, not really into big SPL numbers. What do you guys recommend? Sick of hearing salesman trying to sell what they are overstocked in! Possibly a 12 in, with small sealed box. Must be as small a possible, and approx $$ Thanks
  4. Eek Skywalker - Notice you are from Brisvegas. I have to recommend the guys from Bob-Jane Toombul. They are the first guys to give me a decent alignment/wheel balance in years. I got the full treatment last time when I got my new tyres and it feels great. The best thing for me was, the wheel allignment. As I have fully adjustable suspension they set it to the settings I asked for, amazing! It could be your rotors though or also, I have had problems with certain brands of tyres being seemingly impossible to balance. Try another balance first though, its the cheapest.
  5. I agree with slip, I have got a couple of quotes from Fulcrum and have found very expensive. And if you hit them with prices their labour time always seems to make up the difference!
  6. The lowered springs on my car were on it when I got it. Don't know what they are. I think they are lowered 30mm. I had to get new rear shocks as whoever owned the car before me lowered it and left the standard shocks in place. Needless to say they flogged themselves out. When I got the Bilsteins, I asked for them to suit a lowered car so I assume they are slightly shortened. All suspension work so far I have done myself except the shocks, but I won't tell you who did them as I am not going back to them as they were crap!
  7. The attached pic should tell the story. Can't remember (or don't want to remember) exactly how much they ended up being. I got them through Takas, as that worked out to be the cheapest at the time but I am sure it ended up around the $550ish mark. JMS wanted $750. Quite dear, a twin whiteline rear camber kit is probably better value, but the adjustable arm allows more adjustment and takes out the soft rubber bushes. Besides, the arm looks really cool! Really easy to fit. Took about 20 min per side, that included jacking and taking the wheels off. Must get an alignment afterwards though. I am running about 1 deg of neg camber at the moment, i will see how that goes, it was over two. My car has been lowered about 30mm I think.
  8. Found this on the UAS site
  9. My car currently getting the stereo fitted. Should get it back tomorrow. The stereo has been sitting under my bed for 18 months! Should be good, The standard Clarion unit had the worst radio reception and it was only a tape deck as the factory stacker had been removed before I got the car. Just last week I fitted Cusco pillow-ball tension rods and a Whiteline camber adjustment kit to the front of my car. Makes the car feel totally different. Steering slightly heavier, feels more stable at high speed. Just has more feel. This goes with the new tyres about a month ago now. Yokohama A539s all round at 235/45 R17. Made a huge difference to the car. Have total confidence in the wet now, where before I use to dread driving in the rain. Very happy so far. In march I got cusco rear camber adjustable arms for the rear as I have been chewing the inside of the rear tyres and didn't want to do that to my new ones. I also got front and rear Cusco strut braces and Bilstein shock for the rear. Certainly stiffened things up a little. Also got a HKS type 1 turbo timer then, which I have had lots of fun with, testing the speed timing functions. The only other things I have added were in Feb, during a trip to Sydney. While I was there I bought an 02 Rush Pod filter, a UAS Cold Air Box, Nismo clear blinkers (side and Front GTR ones), Nismo Key. I have some whiteline pineapples in the garage. Next will be to fit them, get bilstein shocks for the front and possibly a disc rotor upgrade and possibly whiteline swaybars. Then I shall file for bankruptcy!
  10. I shall keep a look out. I live about 5 min from UQ also so you should me me around sometimes, nice 4 door.
  11. Still can't get mine past 180km/h! So I can't help.
  12. The factory Castor bushes are a silicon filled rubber bush. You can tell when they are stuffed as they leak. Best to change these with polyurethane bushes as they are firmer for more direct steering and in the case of whitelines kit (part no. KCA331) also allows some adjustment. UAS also has a replacement. It is best to get these as they are about the same price as the standard one, just better. I changed mine just recently to the Cusco pillow-ball adjustable rod. This removes the bush all together and allows lots of adjustment. Also quite expensive in comparison. They are quite easy to do yourself. The only difficulty I had was undoing the bolts. I broke two sockets and a wrench in my attempts to get them off. I have attached a pic of the Castor/Radius/Tension rod and where it is.
  13. As far as I know they just bolt straight on. Thats what the guys at Just Jap told me anyway, as I nearly bought one off them a little while ago.
  14. Good tyres to the front always. Much prefer to have steering/brake control than not have the brain power to control my right foot. Even the effectiveness of ABS is severly diminished if you are aquaplaining. And currently owning a reasonably quick RWD car, and a reasonably quick FWD car, there is definately a requirement to have good tyres, especially at the front. Its is even more pronounced in a FWD car. Besides, why argue with Fulcrum. I would never take my car there as I think all of their gear, especially labour, is overpriced, but they do know their stuff. They still should have consulted with you though.
  15. I got the whiteline front camber kit for my R33 recently to go with the cusco tension rod and cusco rear camber arm. Great value! I bought mine through the web page. It was easy and the parts were delivered within 4 days. I also got the pineapples but haven't got round to fitting them yet! Next I want the Adj. whiteline swaybars. The guys at whiteline said they will make the single biggest difference/improvement in the handling of the car.
  16. Don't you hate it when you have to be at work and miss the deal! That sux!
  17. Yeah, I checked your site, pretty nice group of Skylines their! Email is [email protected] Thanks.
  18. What happened to all of the interest in the previous thread???
  19. I could be talked into that. Never done a proper run down the 1/4. Bout time I got an official time sheet I think!
  20. Killer-T, how is the finish on the Sub-Zero Plenum. I really don't like untidy welding, thats were the Greddy plenums are really nice. I know HP results are more important but, I think presentation will also be a big factor in my final decision. Can't really tell from the pic on the Sub-Zero site what the quality of welds are like. Whats the verdict, you seem happy with the performance results, what about build quality?
  21. Lets remember who is first in line!
  22. On the Subzero website they have them complete with throttle body for $1450, last time I looked anyway.
  23. I have put bilsteins on mine and I think they are very nice. A bit $$$$$ but worth the money I think. Also whiteline was using bilsteins with it springs on its test car for ages, so can't be to bad.
  24. Ignore the post I had up here for half the day. Turned out to be rubbish, depending on who you talk to of course. I am still keen as long as freight is reasonable.
