  1. Very interested, just how old is the turbo, did he buy it new? why is he selling? ill PM you in a minute. Cubes, im looking at around 220rwkw on an everyday basis (say 15psi) , and maybe 235rwkw max when extra grunt is needed. Cheers Ric
  2. Thanks guys, oil level its fine. Im paranoid now and checking it everyday to make sure its all good. After installing the catch can, ill be able to rule out the rest and blame the turbo. Damn im going to have to buy a bigger one How does a GT2871R sound for an RB20? laggy or not? Cheers Ric

  4. Ok here are the results! Have to say big thanks to Dangerman4, went out of his way to help me out, thanks mate. 1- 152 2- 150 3- 151 4- 152 5- 150 6- 149 So as you can see the results are quite good, and im pretty happy to know there is nothing wrong with the engine. A Catch Can is on the way and also will be looking for a new turbo, cause we reckon thats the culprit. Cheers Ric
  5. Thanks guys. Will keep that in mind for tonight. No, I wasnt driving my car yesterday, I was on the GF's car, I did notice the guy there looking at you, but I thought he was just admiring the car didn't hear him go off at you, I must have been just getting in the carpark. Gotta love giving it some in that carpark, setting alarmas up as you go, specially if you have a screamer pipe, not that I do ...ever. I mean that would be stupid. haha Anyway, ill se how we go tonight with this guy, ill let you guys know the results.
  6. Its all good mate. no worries. One thing though, can something actually go wrong while doing this compression test?, just want to be aware of possible risks, and see if I can avoid them. So the Rocker covers stay? just need to get the valley cover off, is that right? then get the coilpacks and coils out to expose the spark plugs and finally remove them, yeah? Shit I am so useless. hahaha
  7. me, me. ill PM you Busky. I have an offer from a fellow enthusiast to come help me out, but if it falls through, Ill take you on the offer of the tool. Cheers Ric
  8. Yes I know its pretty bad, maybe time for a new RB30/RB25 and new turbo to suit *looks at very empty wallet* Mike: I was behind you getting into the city carpark today, I remember your car because of the RPM sticker on the side, it was you wasn't it? Cheers Ric
  9. Whats this tool we are talking about? is it like a gauge or something, Do you need a different tool to do a Leakdown test? or the same does the job? Sorry for my noobiness the first time I have to worry about the engine on my car. Cheers guys Ric
  10. Thanks guys, it is a silver top ECCS btw No worries Mike, ill give him a call and see if I can borrow his tool. So should I be able to do it myself if I get the tool, How hard is it, never done before? Cheers Ric
  11. Guys, just one at a time Anyone?
  12. If anyone has the tool to do a compression test to my car and can come up to my place an give me a hand, I just dont want to drive it, in case it blows up on me or something. Its got biblical ammounts of oil in the intercooler and pipes (blow-by) and its dropping oil pressure badly. So, help a fellow member! , remunerations in the form of your favourite alcohol beverage, are in order. Cheers Ric
  13. shit thats pretty good, i was thinking like $300 Cheers ctjet

It seems to be a mix of mechanical diff and factory, took it to SA Diffs and Trans and he retighten the whole thing up, said it was in very good nick.
