  1. Just going to do a quick Modem reset as y line speed has decresed to 968/768 will be back up in a jiffy....
  2. Upload speed (My download speed) ~ 150K Download speed (My Upload speed) ~ 80K 1.5/768 ADSL...
  3. Sorry dude, wasnt completed..... If someone cares to complete it let me know and Ill try and restore the incomplete file.
  4. Righto Guys FTP has been updated with a few more manuals for the apexi range. If anyone does want to upload, the speed is now back to normal. Also I have created a separate upload login ftp://upload:[email protected] Cheers Kieran
  5. Definately the thrust bearing....on the other hand with your crunching noises, you would want to hope it is a buggered master cylinder.... if your synchros have gone on your box that can be major dollars....
  6. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows how to put an ecu into diagnostic mode that doesn't seem to have a selector switch. It's a little wierd... It says G9 on the label and there doesn't seem to be an LED or Selector switch.... I think it is in Diagnosotic mode which is why it backfires a little on decelleration and runs like crap on boost.... Ta
  7. Found out what it was guys. Turns out its the ecu. I think if have an rb25e (or de) ecu. Tested mine in a mates and it blew out black smoke and misfired etc.... put his in mine... worked orsm.... so for future reference G8 is not for a turbo!
  8. filejunkies is all good Also the ecu has been reset HEAPS, I have always got the battery off for long periods of time, this should rectify the CAS problem.. I will have a fiddle with advancing and retarding tonight....
  9. Does anyone know what they have written on their computers and what sort of car (manual/Auto) they have?
  10. I don't suppose you know if the difference can be told from what's written on the label.. as I said mine says "G8" and I have no idea what that means...
  11. BTW the car this came out of was auto, its now manual so I don't know whether there are different ecu's for auto or manual like the RB30's.... in other words if there is a difference then the ecu would have been changed and it's a bigger possibility that it could be that... a wrong ecu. I have no idea whether this is the same ecu out of the old car or whether its another the previous owner sourced...
  12. today I just bought a new aftermarket regulator... still same prob. I am starting to think its either the injectors or ecu... my ecu has "G8" on the label, is this standard for a S2 rb25det? I am thinking maybe this isnt the right ecu and its outputting the wrong impedence to the injectors.... perhaps the ecu is outputting a high impedence signal when the injector needs a low impedence signal.. or vica versa. Can anyone help with this???
  13. Stirlo It's a RB25. I am just wondering whether they are grounded through the computer or whether the common wire is negative...
  14. Yeah I am a little lost for options. I have tested the AFM on my friends R33 and it has worked fine. I can't think of much else that I have not mentioned originally above that could cause it. I will have to see whether my ECU does the same sort of thing when we put it in his tonight. On top of that if I could actually drive it properly (Is really bad) I might be able to think of some other things... but I can hardly get it out of the garage
  15. Hey ppl, well I know this comes up all the time as I have done a search and none of the solutions seem to help. I have just come by a car that I have bought knowingly not working. It has a S2 RB25DET STOCK. When I picked it up it was misfiring heaps and a crap-load of black smoke as soon as it hit boost (but only a little on idle and cruise). Running rich - definately! I found the alternator was wired wrong hence the flat battery when I got home. Fixed that. I have tested the AFM on a mates R33 and its working fine. I have checked all the wires going back to the ECU - they seem to be correct. My next step is to test my ECU on my friends R33 to check whether the ECU is bugered. I have done a diagnostic on the ecu - 55 - all ok. Apparently before the engine was converted into this car by the previous owner he was driving it and it was running fine. I have checked the coils (resistance varies only slightly). I have checked the grounding for the injectors and coils.... I am REALLY stumped on this one. The crank angle sensor has apparently been replaced with a newy. I dont think its the turbo as it spools up nice and the BOV is heard... The engine seems to be OK with regards to oil being where it shouldnt (coolant) and vica versa. I just can't understand why it's overfueling unless it has something to do with the Fule pressure regulator... but then that wouldn't explain the misfiring. I am also going to check the plugs tonight... Sorry for the bore as a lot of you may have heard this so many times over.... any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Sorry for the screw around guys, FTP is back up and updated - Someone decided to delete the files. Permissions have been reset and all working fine.
  17. I am connecting up my injectors from the ECU... my question is does the ECU supply positive signals or a negative signal. The reason I ask is the common lead for the injectors is currently connected to igntion (+, pin 58 on the ECU) and then back to the ecu's individual injector pins. NO, the car isnt running properly which is why I ask what the ECU outputs. So obviously if they are both connected to positive, it could be a problem. I have 2 pin-out sheets that say the exact opposite. One says that the individual injector signals are ground, and the other says "Injector No. X" and has the 3 separate pins at the bottom of the connector as "Injector Ground" can anyone help?
  18. Righto guys. I do apologise. I am not at home till wednesday but as soon as I can I will get it running properly. Are you still having probs?
  19. Also this was a last minute idea for me, I have already been capped (Speed wise) so ppl can only upload to me at a combined maximum of 7 K/sec. Upload itsn't effected. This will be all good as off 9th of next month.
  20. BTW that R33 manual is orsm. Credit where it's due - JPNZ Enterprises International - www.jpnz.co.nz
  21. Hey guys. Upload anything you can. It will take ages to upload until I sort my account out. So if you wanted to leave the uplads until I post saying it's all good. I am also might create a look account so ppl can view the files when I get enough time. One thing I didnt do was put a restriciton on the amount of users. There are about 10 on now. I will set it to 5, this should allow a DL rate above 10K/sec each depending on your connection. I won't kick anyone so ppl will just have to be patient.
  22. Hey guys, well after finding a lot of ppl are trying to find manuals I have set up a dedicated FTP server here @ home. So far it has the R32 Engine Manual and the R33 Workshop manual. Can you guys upload any other manuals or tutorials that I don't have so that everyone else can get access to them, put them in the Upload Directory. Also here in Perth we have had some crazy weather tonight so there are a lot of connection issues... if you cant access the FTP server give it up to 15mins otherwise email me HERE! Access it here! Cheers guys! Kieran
