A few things. You haven't played Forza. You're guessing at the 5-8 seconds, the test was done with a pro driver and a 'veteran racing gamer' in Forza 1. Unlike GT, the physics engine in Forza has actually improved with every game. You list cars that are in the game as missing. Yes, even old Colin Mcrae Rally games shit all over GT5 and Forza 4 for realistic damage but at least Forza 4 generally makes sense.
