  3. I know this is real old but still a great tute. Changed the oil today no hicups Thought I would mention a great funnel for getting the oil in is half a 2L softdrink bottle, works a charm and you don't even need to hold it because it fits so well.

  10. You can have more than one ECU runnign at a time, this has been done so say a factory ECU can run an auto box with aftermarket running the engine and any and all combinations in b/w. It can just be a bit of a pain to wire up. I would want to see both boxes in there though.

  13. Incase you havn't been following things on FordForums.com.au ****** NEWS JUST IN ******* Due to unsure weather on Sunday, Headsex and his affiliates have had to postpone the day. HOWEVER As i know alot of people who have been getting ready, it would be a waste .. After discussions with Headsex, it has been decided that a dyno will STILL be ran on sunday, however, by CVE at Hallam Performance It will be at Hallam Performance, same place that we have had them before less than 10 minutes from Dandenong. This will be an OPEN event, everybody is welcome to come and enter. If you have run at Hallam Performance before bring your old dyno sheet and we can overlay your new run on your old run, this way you can see if you have made improvements. Classes will be 6 cyl 6cyl blown / t/charged / nitrous 8 cyl 8cyl blown / t/charged / nitrous If I can get interest from 4 cyl cars ( more than 2 ) then i will run 4 cyl as well, Even rotaries if needed. The rules will be the same as all other days. Safe cars. etc Price will be the same $40.00 2 runs etc

  16. Thanks for proving once again that the world is full of idiots, good stuff, such a great thread (not directed at anyone in particular as they'd have a cry). I know when I was driving my Falcons I just had this uncontrolable urge to race skylines and scream abuse at Holden drivers, just like now when I drive my Skyline as soon as I see a WRX I MUST race it IMO unless you own and drive a car that does X time around track Y and can do 400m in Z seconds then STFU everything else is pointless speculation without hard figures. Why I don't get into such threads stupidity. Especially dumb comparisons like this. On another note, fast cars are cool an 1800kg car that does 400m in 10 odd seconds is a pretty good effort especially for a mass production car. Likewise there are many impressive GT-Rs, GTS-Ts, GT-Ts etc. Fan boys argueing with each other over the net is dumb.

  18. How much adjustment is in it? What kind of dyno time do you think would be needed to test this properly? I'm interested but obviously how much it would cost me for very little (stock car) to 0 gain is of concern. Would be best to get a few people with cars at different stages to see where it is really handy. Will be getting a base power run on a DD dyno on the 19th regardless.

  20. Martins Panelmasters (97581544) in Upper Ferntree Gully - Talk to Sam. They are approved repairers for all insurance companies and do excellent work. Thier paint matching has been to perfection and they have gone out of their way to get hard to find parts, provide car etc. You can tell them Jacob Huybers recommended them, they'll get a laugh out of it, been there a few times. It can't be good when you ring up a smash repairer and they say 'what have you done now...' lol
  21. SD the boot and put in a thicker rubber seal thingy for the boot (don't you hate when you forget what something is called ). Also stick some of that adheasive backed foam strip to the back of the number plate if it is rattling.

  25. very few skylines come into aust with reading over 100,000 that coupled with yes they can be rolled back means you have to look at other indicators of a car's age when purchasing one. If you get compression and leak down test, mechanical check and you like the state of the interior etc don't let the possibility of an incorrect odo reading put you off
