SoundStream do make one of the best amps, just with a $7999rrp the Human Reign 4 1600W RMS of pure class A and they look awesome *drool* anyways. Jaycar by all accounts are excellent bang for buck. You could always have a look around at second hand gear as I have picked up; DEX-P88-R H/U DEQ-9200 DSP Focal Utopia 165W3 for well under just the cost of the Utopias everything in great nic and perfect working order. Add the XTA at 1/2 rrp and I am not doing too bad at all. Have a lok around you never know what you may find

I got a XTA720.4 at MAS for $499 it is only running the stock fronts and a Pioneer 305c sub atm but it is incredible the difference it and the DEX P88-R + DEQ9200 make. Can't wait to get the door pods done so the Focal Utopia's can go in and then get a better sub + mono block and run the Focals semi active or fully active adding an XTA 2 channel as well. The Picasso's are not Aust. dilivered and have no warranty here. If you look closely at the specs the XTAs seem a bit better too but they are so close I would go with the XTA to have the backing of an Aust delivered product. The XTA amp will not disappoint despite what some audiophiles say about SoundStream's new products (not bad just not as good as they used to be).

funny, as I zipped around NSW at 110 (where applicable) with my vic Ps (which look like inverted NSW red Ps) with 0 problems except for a few locals not liking P platers passing them for some reason (literally speed to pass me then slow down) but then this was in a Magna VR-X (2001 model not the ugly ass one) and a Fairmont Ghia V8 with a 3" straight through exhaust etc. If I tried it in the R33 might be a little different. If it is legal in QLD you can fight it and win, you can even get off parking fines if the way you parked is legal in your home state

At $32 delivered that doesn't look bad at all. So this replaces the solenoid in my R33? Still learning the turbo stuff.

A L plater in a clubsport killed the whole family of 5, head on with a truck - NOT the truckies fault which was nice to see pointed out.

People whinging about the IT industyry going flat was a load of bull, just had to know where to look or know someone i reckon it's just dodgy I could be doing the same thing for almost double the money in NSW or QLD but then I like where I work, my job is easy and entertaining (most would agree a hard combo to come by). I like IT, put me in three good cars in my short driving history I have been booze bussed in Hallam a couple of times and often go on down to Knox etc but my skyline looks very low key and hardly gets a second look. This will only change after the P comes off. :flamed:

Its not a dyno place. Its a workshop. There will be a dyno there on the day. The event will have full public liability insurance covered. That should be all the info you need I think...

Basically you register it and they give you a code that you put into the HU and it decodes the maps that you have paid for (as with any GPS system it's the maps that cost the $$$ the actual GPS positioning is free). The unit comes with the manual and discs so that won't be a problem for you. It has some really cool features like the trip comp, speed limiter (good to set for when others drive your car ) etc. The Alpine unit will fit into my plans very nicely so if you like the VDO unit and approve of it's condition (which is excellent) I'll have it professionally (Stylyn or Tower Audio) removed and ready to send to you registered and insured.

Finally recieved the HU and DSP at MAS and the Focal Utopias arrived yesterday probably finish off with 2 SoundStream XTA720.4 and an Eclipse sub. I will be starting the ripping out of interiour bits and measuring on the w/e. Hmmm should take pics and write up a tute from a noob's perspective while riping everything out.
