ban us from driving at night or in busy traffic times?? do you think because we are p platers we have no life? I NEED to drive to work in busy traffic times, I NEED to drive home... i NEED to have a life and this ban is ridiculous and should not be enforced!! i dont really do anything apart from go to work and cruise in the sky - i dont go out hooning or driving like an idiot, why should i be punsihed? i have worked really hard to get my car and to do the things i enjoy and this means nothing? the governement is going to just take away my freedom like that!! its bullshite!! the ban will be inforced by 11th June, and i can say im disgusted and very disapointed. sure there are some very irresponsible p plate drivers who have turbo cars, but what about the ones who drive responsibly and dont drive like idiots? you can have your p's, own a turbo car and not drive it like a maniac. There have been alot of deaths contributed to p platers driving turbo cars, but there are also alot of deaths caused by 4wd and other makes that dont have the media coverage we seem to get. it is completly unfair and an injuctice to young people in my opinion. Instead of just straight out banning p platers from driving turbo cars, why dont they implement a system where if a p plater were to drive a turbo car they would have to attend a further driving course, designed to educate young drivers on how to handle the power and how to drive responibly and safely.. then maybe if that fails.. then do the ban. But to give young people no option at all is outrageous! I will be starting a petition against this, and asking that an advanced driving course be put in place of a complete ban... will you support the petition??

maybe next time u newcastle guys come up we can show u some good long roads to cruise on. There are some great streets on the coast to go cruisn. Was hoping to do a little more cruisin on sunday, thats why we bailed from the haven earlier than everyone else.

any tips on getting all the consol off successfully without doing any damage?? wanna give this a try but dont wanna fk anything at the same time, never pulled the consol/dash out before anyone with a 33 that has done it please post steps?? thanks

yea we have a turbosmart bov. we noticed the stalling only really started after we got an alarm and immoboliser installed aswell - could it be a coinsidence? doesnt stall by dropping it into neutral dont really drive like that, just stalls if you are coming up for a stop or something the rpms drop heaps quick. if you keep an eye on it you can usually tell if it is going to drop too low in that case just tap the ecellorator to bring the rpms up abit. just getting really frustrating and anoying, can be really embarrasing too! it doesnt always stall when the spedo cuts out, the spedo can be really intermitant, we thought that the stalling may have something to do with it but cant be too sure.gear box is in good condition. maybe something with the electrics??

the speedo on our s2 R33 is continuously dropping out and wont come back unless you give it a small bang on the dash. we took it to our mechanic and he hooked up some computers or something to it and said he couldnt really find any problems with why it would be cutting out, maybe just get a new one. We are also having that stalling problem where it will drop rpm drammatically until it stalls. at first we thought the stalling was caused by the speedo dropping out and there not being any speed reading, but think it could be something more sinister i have read the thread about the stalling problems, with the fuel pressure, but wanna know if anyone else has had any problems similar to this and if it could mainly be a wiring and electronic fault or something else. has anyone else had this problem? cheers M&B

driving this car is pretty important to me lol so i dont mind paying as long as i know im going to be safe incase anything happens whether it be my bad or someone elses. It was torture enough to have purchased the car and not be able to drive it cause i didnt have a valid licence at the time and didnt want to risk anything. now i got a valid one i dont want anything stoping me from driving our sky

im just looking at some insurance options for myself to drive our skyline but was just wondering some of the companies everyone uses. When my b/f & i purchased our Sky, we could only get insurance for him at the time. He has full comprehensive with Just Car - i dont think this will cover me, as he is 22 and im only just 18 last jan. I dont have the cash to pay the insurance up front so need to pay it in monthly installments. Can i get insurance through a different company than Just Car if its better? or do i need to get insurance with the same company?? Should the full comprehensive cover me?? We have a 95 R33 GTS-T Series 2 Any advice please! Michelle

hey im from the coast, from ourimbah. i got a series II r33 gts-t

we are looking to buy a carbon fiber bonnet for our r33 and was wondering if anyone could reccommend some good places to look at getting one or if anyone had any info. thanks mich & Ben :wassup:

I just recently purchased a 1995 Series II R33 and it appears to have a stalling problem aswell. The spedo first started to just drop out down to 0 and would come back if i gave it a bit of a tap. it still does it now. I had a 3point alarm system installed, and not long after getting it back the car began to stall. it doesnt just stall at a low rpm but usually does around 400rpm. I could be driving and the power will just cut out. not just when i am approaching a stop point. Im not sure if it could be something that happened when they installed the alarm system or if it could be something relating to the spedo and the wiring in the dash with its gauges, just looking at some of the other posts it makes me think it could be something else. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
