he he... what a bite if I was a fisherman I'd be rich!!
-
I just checked out the Spank Site... what is so good about the first photo? it doesn't look like the photo was very organised... it's got crap in the background everywhere!!
-
I'm still chasing interested parties for the trip to Brissy at the end of this month... it will be simply awsome with a few cars punting around the track... and don't think your car is to slow... I can show you some video of a stock early pintara thrashing around the track in Panda Colours... it is really open to ANYONE... JR that means your mirage to... Actually it would be awsome to have enough cars there to have our own bracket (7 cars) on the track... all CQ motorsports fans...
-
Also he actually recommended Bendix Ultimate Pads... he said if I had the money go with Endless NA-R but otherwise Ultimates are the Go... I thought there would have been heaps of pads better than the old ultimate... but he seemed to think they were really good for the price... so maybe that is something to think about next time you are crying just thinking about the price of big name Jap brake pads.... stick with the old Bendix Ultimate!!

Hey Actually here is another topic for this CQ Performance Thread... I was talking to Darren of 180GO fame and I asked him a few questions about brake upgrades for Clubsprints... He told me that I needed to Take off the Metal backing plates for the disc brakes... now I know this seems obvious but is this a good move for a street car... does it protect the rotor more than it matters... what about does it act like a heat sink ( draw heat from the disc) or does it trap in heat?? I think it traps heat, and I personally think if you brake a rotor you are probably doing the wrong thing in your import (eg. 4x4 competition or something) what do you guys think?
-
Sorry... just read your post about prices
-
What about the Mongrels... what did Josh say they were worth? they are a really good tyre for what they are... and now in 33 x 12.5... they sound good... some new suspension and body blocks and emma's lux would be looking tuff... when do you get your big rig Brocky Cutter?
-
I don't know... I can find out... but I'll do it when you actually have a ute... at the moment I know you ain't buying anything!!
-
awsome... if I still had a 4 be I would be there... maybe I could talk emma into getting a set... or maybe she is still holding out for a Jeep... he he he
-
wow... brocky cutter you almost scared me or was that your laugh? Hey I got a catologue today with Mickey Thompson tyres in it... I though you'd like that Brocky Cutter...
-
Sciby wouldn't know good hair if he saw it... he aint got none!! he he... he does have horns though... angry viking ones...
-
Hey I see we have moved... Why is that? That is really harsh for those boys cruising... I think it something you have to be really careful about... when cruising in a big crew the PO'lice tend to watch you pretty close... Rick that car is sick... in a good way... although it's not my thing it is definatly very different and very cool... might stick to red though... although the black headlights would look good with red...
-
Anyway... keep it shiny side up... and stay safe

There hasn't been to much tech conversations on here lately so... This is a discussion and it is open to all with an opinion... state it openly and wisely... don't just say it is... give reasons... What is better a three inch Stainless exhaust or a 3 inch mild steel... just I am thinking of upgrading my exhaust and I am wondering about the advantages... it's just with mild steel I could replace my exhaust 3 times for the price of one stainless system... and what if I rip it off or something... maybe the mild steel is the go... can anyone think of any good reasons why flow would be better or is it just wank factor??
-
And Garth that is too bad about the Motokhana being cancelled... oh well they will just have to have one up here... I am sure all the local imports will be there to have some legal fun... can we drift? or is there a few rules for safetys sake... just it would be awsome to have a few GTR's there, some sideways S13 action... maybe even jay could punt around in the fastest taxi in rocky... tell us when it is going to be next in rocky and we will put it in the Garage Spank calander... it's definatly on my to do list...
-
Yeah the cruise was Awsome... I had a blast and I stuck to the speed limit... most of the time... There was 3 Gtr's, 2 silvias, 1 33gts-t, 1 32 Gts-t, 1 MX-6, 1 Cordia and a Clubsport... 10 Cars... and it was a blast... there are heaps of photo's getting around and generally we just chatted and had fun... JR you could have added to our crew but I understand that SBS is good watching... speedweek is a top show for a bit of lower budget racing stuff...
-
I know us Spank boys are working hard to get a neat little crew together... anyone else organising any trips lately? Actually Squizz I was going to talk to you about having another BBQ soon too... it's been a long time... and I know Rick is itching for a feed... that man is hungry (said in 2 fast 2 furious tone)... anyway we should be able to organise it soon... maybe a thursday night after work BBQ and then giant cruise... we could try our hardest to take over the lap from all the commodores... I could even try to find out off JC wiether there will be a blitz on vehicles or not that thursday... And finally my respect goes out to one of the GTR's leaving... it's a shame but I am sure we shall cruise together again in the future... maybe even the end of this month... anyway Willo, thanks for cruising with us, it has made the beach runs and thursdays exciting and fun... keep on boostn... and to the rest of you Jokers... catch ya soon stay safe...
-
And actually if your headed down for the Sunday Dorifto... why not get excited and come down on the Saturday, there are clubsprints on... and it looks like an absolute blast... If I enter my car in anything it will be the club sprints... it just looks so fun... racing other cars on a safe race track... hitting speed cut down a long back straight... generally enjoying driving hard with no fear of police or what is around the next corner... heck I'm talking myself into it...
-
and it's too bad that guys aren't keen on the beach run... oh well your loss... I suppose nothing beats sitting at home on a Sunday... Actually talking of Sundays... 31.8.03 is the SR20 Dorift meet... anyone going for a drive... I definatly am... can't wait... I got my cooler on order, got my no. plates, in the process of getting excited about ordering the bits for my plug'n'play microtech Lt-8... I found out using a few cheap suppliers I can build my own plug for... um, about $10... how can shops warrent charging so much for them?? I guess there is a bit of labour in building the first one... but after that anyone... and I mean almost anyone... could build it over and over to make some cash... But I guess that is why they make money and I still work as a Apprentice Electrician...
-
that is true... however do you also know that Nismo was running around free boosting his car... ie... didn't have the actuator hooked up... he knew this... it's just his car went well... we finally talked him into fixing it... and the old girl is still going... That car has had the hardest life of any skyline I know... there is no way that you can possibly say that it hasn't been a reliable motor for the things that it has had done to it... I still promise you that it will destroy a stock R32 skyline...
-
Anyway guys hope to see you all at the beach for some photos for our Website... we are trying to get a big group together so that it looks like Rocky actually has some cars as compared to the 4x4 town it is made out to be... I think most people south of Noosa are generally suprised we have Sealed roads up here... Anyway it should be a good cruise... and Garth you better get some good photo's and video of the moto. Just we are keen but unorganised... so you will have to make up for our downfall... And if you can organise one in Gracemere just a bit cheaper I promise you that you will have at least Garage Spanks support with vehicles and a mass of interest... Have fun man... and keep that Laser away from the mud... See you all at Shopping Fair 1 o'clock...
-
Yeah Brocky Cutter I have done extensive modifications to mine and I still lift a wheel going over a gutter... they just don't seem to have the flex of a full bombed "floating"front end skyline... although silvias always beat them in the uphill climb... It's a tuff decision but air lockers fix the flex problem...
-
anyway have fun guys...
-
Hey doesn't that Brocky cutter make some good points about cars... he he he must be a skyline guru... I think he is a GTR fan... or scared about (or is that in dev) the performance of a AWD GTR.... I hear they go well at Mount Archer eh?

Actually is anyone interested in rising rate fuel pressure regulators... I want to order in a batch of these AMOS ones... cheap... different... did I mention cheap... It's just they come from America so if anyone is interested in this great product... pm me or something just cause I want to order in one for myself and one for Phill's GQ patrol... so while I'm at it... should order in bulk... I'll try to get a price put up on that spank website soon... just so if anyone wants one of these cheap regulators they can call me... either that or they can order them in themselves of course...
