hey guys, we changed the spark plugs to ngk platinums heat grade 6 with a .9mm gap. before this it had ngk iridiums heat grade 5 with a 1.1mm gap. Also took the coils out again, took off all the silicone, put them in a metho bath for 15 minutes, blew them out with an air compressor, then put them in the oven at 80 degrees over night. Anyway put the car back together and no more misfiring but the car is running like 12psi!!! Only performance mods to the car are turbo back exhaust with high flow cat, and pod filter.. Just wondering if you guys reckon its just getting a better spark now? hence more boost pressure...(before it was struggling to get to 9psi) or do you think I may not have connected something properly. so far my mate is loving his car running 12 psi but after he has a bit of fun we are gonna try to find out why because we dont wanna blow anything. Anyway if you know which vacuum hose we may or may not have connected or connected properly that would make it do this let us know.. or if it is just the better spark then let it be... before 4500rpm it still limits to 6psi then shoots up to 12psi...which confuses me a bit..

Put the coils back in today, misfires more between 1000 and 2000 rpm now. anyone have any ideas on what may be causing it?

How much time have you guys allowed for the silicone to settle? Did this on my mates skyline last night, yet to put them back in to try... He also had a white powder on the top of one of his plugs.. would this be related or could the problem be something else making him run lean? cheers

I am running stock speakers with Kenwood Tweeters at the front. These are all powered off a rather middle ranged KDC 4029G MP3/CD Player. I have a 4 channel GTO 560.4 JBL Amplifier (Surprising Power) I am running 2 12 inch Rockford Fosgate Fast And Furious Subs off 2 channels. i still have two spare channels for 2 extra speakers or subs or wot not

That is very nice. I love the dash, the dials, the tail lights, the deep dish, the boot setup also. Did you do these mods yourself? How much has it set you back so far if you dont mind my asking?
