  5. Talk about a bit of pressure - will post as soon as I figure out how to upload. Off to the FAQ's for guidance. Marc2
  6. Hi Guys, I am a Stagea owner, in Canberra. By trade a fitter and turner, by profession Mech/Elec Engineer - and no I have deliberately avoided getting my ticket to be certified for engineering modifications. Sorry guys. But I do own a business (tyres) which is an authorised inspection station and does general mechanical repairs and limited modifications. Anyway, remember that honest advice will cost you nothing and I will help out where I can. Regards, Marc2 ps If some memebers have assumed this to be a plug for the business then I apologize in advance for the mis interpretation.
  7. Shan, Just picked up a Stagea, and seemed to have misplaced my post to you. Am interested in Boost Controller, Hand Controller, Fuel Controller and cable for shippiong to ACT. If you can get us onto a buy let us know where and when for the $$$. Regards, Marc2
  8. Funkymonkey, Just a quick aside - are you still doing group buys of Jaycar kits? Regards, Marc
  9. When I get pricings/availability etc on Bilsteins and get to do the job I shall foreward the spring details to you. Marc
  10. SK, I realise this is an old post but have just measured the S2, and the figures are: RHF 360mm, LHF 360mm, RHR 365mm, and LHR 372mm. However I have a weeping shock on LHR so may be this is having an impact on height. The vehicle has NISMO springs but have no idea as to what the specs are. Marc2
  11. Ian's post #17 pretty much sums it up in a nut shell.
  12. Terminal, I am just around the corner in Nettlefold St - Discount Tyre Service. Just ring the tele No. in previous post to make sure I am at the shop. You are more than welcome to come around. 18" arrive on Friday for the car. Regards, Marc
  13. Shaun, I would appreciate being placed on your list for 1 x 4" cat on the next group buy. Please provide banking details. Marc2
  14. Give me a ring if you are anywhere the north side - later in the week 6251 5977. Regards, Marc2
  15. Hi Jay, Well we now have a SII Pearl White 'STAG' residing in Canberra. Rather dirty from the trip and needing a good wash. Spent yeaterday getting it registered and will endeavour to get it up on the hoist over the next couple of days to have a good look underneath. All I need to do now is start to work out the priorities on my 'shopping list'. Regards, Marc2 ps Managed 16.01L/100km on the run down. I must admit to pushing it a bit and having a great time using the steering wheel mounted triptronic. Maybe not the best time for an economy run!
  16. Hi JAY, I would not have any idea what has been done under the bonnet. There was a coment that 'Sports Suspension' is fitted as it rides somewhat firmer than other stags. What it is etc I will find out when I get the vehicle back in Canberra. I know the XR6 BA turbo makes a whine and does not worry me but being unfamiliar with the NEO6 I was mainly concerned if it was common or, if I may be buying trouble. Soon as it is in town I shall give you a ring - you are most welcome to have a look. Regards, Marc2
  17. Hi Team, Is there a chance somebody could check the following VIN please - 6UN00WGNC34134121. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Marc2
  18. I know I am getting on in years but the MUSEUM!!!
  19. Hi Guys, Just a general query - have just received the inspection report on my Series II which looks very good. One point which came up is the inspector noted an 'audible turbo whine at road speed'. A bit of an open statement but am mildly curious if the NEO6 is noted for a bit of turbo whine. If I am happy with the vehicle, it will be home in Canberra about 6/6/05. Regards, Marc2
  20. JAKE 32, Picked up this thread just to get in contact.Seriously considering a 260RS but would appreciate having a chat with somebody who has one. Initial contact on 02-6251 5977(w), or 0419 614 236 would be most welcome. Regards, Marc2
  21. It is still sitting in Japan, and due to be shipped shortly Marc2
  22. An interesting article on p.54 of the latest Zoom Magazine. This quote relates to an RE40A auto trans hooked up to an RB26DETT running a Japanese chipped R32 GT-R engine management computer. QUOTE "..... so we took the punt of installing a A'PEXI Power FC Management computer .......... The beauty of this conversion is that Alex has tapped into all the required transmission control signals externally in the loom, which means the inability of the Power FC to run an automatic transmissionequipped car is now bypassed." Any thoughts on the above. Marc2
  23. Adam, Some info for you and other readers of this string. I have extracted some info on tyre and rim sizes from the Bible ( The Tyre and Rim Association of Australia - Standards Manual 2004), which may assist. TYRE SIZE... APPROVED RIM SIZES(inches) 235/40R18... 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 245/40R18... 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 255/40R18... 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10 265/40R18... 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5 225/35R18... 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9 235/35R18... 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 245/35R18... 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 255/35R18... 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10 265/35R18... 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5 I am probably repeating info which has already been posted - but most states/territories will allow up to +/- 15mm variation to overall diameter in the tyre/rim combination and will allow a maximum of 25mm in track width. The tricky part is that the fitment may well be legal but to satisfy your insurance company is another issue altogether. Hope this info is helpful to some readers. Regards, Marc2
  24. Ian, The tyre combination you have on your R34 would not be recommended for the STAG. A 255/45R17 has a dia of 661mm, whereas the 225/45R17 has a dia of 634mm. Not ideal for an AWD vehicle. You would need to fit 255/40R17 which has a dia of 636mm. Regards, Marc2
  25. SK, You are most helpful with your timely repsonses and the information provided - greatly appreciated. Have sent a PM. regards, Marc2
