  1. there rare...... extremly rare
  2. best of both, a four-door R34 skyline. (could tow shitte though) :Dj:
  3. very nice HSV! i was a holden boy before the skyline (VR SS w/VX clubsport bodykit and duel exhaust out both sides, sounded great but didn't go that well). If i had the money an R34 GTR would be my sporty, weekend car and the HSV VZ clubby would be the everyday car........if i had the money
  4. an STI drifted in the autobarn drift battle.....i guess 4wds can drift since it pretty well in the comp.
  5. gunmetal grey would look good with the silver. im going black like the nismo R34 GTR Z-Tune. sweet http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/Z-2.jpg
  6. are you sure 19" could fit? over the weekend i had to do a suspension check since petrolium jelly started to ooze out of the front right suspension arm joint..eek however since the wheel was off ithought i might try and see if the old supra 20" rims would fit, stud pattern is the same however the wheel would of never have fit with the nissan suspension strut coming out and over the wheel with only about an inch clearence with the old stock 17" wheel. I beleived that 18" was as high as you could go......am i wrong?
  7. there coming there coming. I want to try and do it on the cheap but without cutting corners. ie: instead of buying a full brand name exhaust system for $1400, i'll just buy the end muffler (brand name -$300) then take it down to the local exhaust place and get them to do the rest (hi-flow cat $150 - 3.5" exhaust piping $250), a saving of $800 bucks. and no i don't watch ACA.
  8. i've been noticing a slight drop in performance from when i got it , not fuel consumption. (seems to accelerate a bit slower after 100)
  9. it seems everyone here is getting different kms out of a tank, its either a turning thing or we all have a differnt interpretation of what normal driving is
  10. the value of a car is a weird thing, some people don't car about how much money was spent on the car but more with the kms, servicing and stuff where as people, like me, only really care about the value of mods put into the car. all i can suggest is to looking around at other r32 gtr saling prices, compare there mods, kms and all that stuff to yours, then advertise it at the maximum price what you believe its worth, then you can always lower it alittle when selling.
  11. well i was just checking out a site and they had an r23 gtr modified to the max going for $47g au.
  12. yeah, i would only do it if i needed to, being $600 bucks and all. The stock coilpacks still work well for a 1998 43700km car.
  13. im guessing around $27-31g. Best bet is search the net and check out what other modified gtrs are going for. Being in melbourne, the car should sell pretty quickly.
  14. is it one of those mods your going to have to eventually have to do once you want to increase power from stock (or once the stock ones crap out which, from the forums, it seems an inevatability)?
  15. would changing the coilpacks to spitfire ones be a good mod to do anyway even if there not stuffed? how do the GTR coilpacks compare to the spitfire ones?
  16. the car is pretty fuel effecient when not on boost, as soon as you put the foor down you will see the fuel gauge drop very quickly.
  17. i've never had a problem with a nissan yet, however, my jza80 supra needed a new water pump - $700 later i had a new water pump 2 weeks later from japan
  18. oil punp might be worn and not pushing enough oil through at low rpm. If it was 0 then little or no oil would be in passing through the oil pump to the top of the head which would eventually you will start to hear a tapping noise coming from the motor, do you hear this? Best bet is to have the pump checked out, if its fine then your gauge might be wrong.
  19. RACV told me to piss off when i had my supra however JustCar was a better option anyway since there fairly cheap and you can do unlimited mods with no extra cost. Abo Bob, where are you getting your insurance?
  20. insurance for me being under 25, rating 1, sedan (therefore its not a sports car) at Just car it came to about $1100 in comparison my younger brother pays double that for his 200sx with less power at young & cool insurance (sounds dodgy to me). Don't get me wrong theres plenty of room to stretch out in just compared to western cars (commodore, avalon, magna) it isn't has big. No SatNav option in my version.
  21. ive driven a rent-a-car 2002-4 magna, compared to my r34 GTT sedan it was a much bigger car, with heavy steering (had to yank the wheel around a few times to do a 90degree turn where as you could drive an r34 with one hand) and no go (compared to the magna the r34 would hit 160km/h by total accident while overtaking very quickly) . Im not a tall guy so the r34 seemed to fit me pretty well since western cars are designed around the typical over 6ft guy therefore you sit in the car as though your in a chair, the r34 being design for the average japanese guy which is about 5,5 which i am the car feeling more like your sitting down with your feet up (similar to a supra). It says its a five seater however you couldn't fit 3 average people along the back since the backseats have a bucket seat feel making the centre seat more of an arm rest. The ride is a little rougher than magna being more sporter but still a very comfortable ride. Plus, it looks better - even in stock form.
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=71179 check out the the three links in the first post.
  23. the r34 gtt has a pure white light (xenon but a lower type) like that found in most modern cars, xenons like that seen on the new Subarus (xenon with a blue hue) is only found in the GTRs right? zymotic, i was just looking at your pics and noticed your GTT came with the GTT badges on it rear end, do you know if thats an extra only found on the sporter models?
  24. The series 1 had a better front bumper. Even though they improved performance slightly it seems that they cut back on other things like overall quality, looking at another thread that had their differences in pics the series 2 had alot of little things removed ie: end caps and lower quality interior parts.
  25. number 2 goes to the vacume sensor - thats the one giving me the shits!
