BOV on r33 s2, not work!?!?
RyanN replied to wraith_skyline's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
people said that about the r34, however the GFB Mach1 BOV works fine. i contacted GBF if it didnt work and they suggested to adjust the vacumme nipple which would cause the BOV to close sooner. What brand BOV do you have? try contacting the manufacture since, yes, an atmospheric type does work. -

How much have you spent on your GTR
RyanN replied to Tommyk's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
not that i own a gtr, but basically i shop around and find the cheapest price for that part as i can. FMIC $500 and a $450 piping kit comes to $950 which is a lot better than forking out $1450 for a brand name kit; smart shopping. Why pay more for something that does the same thing for less; that way you can spend your money on other things: :alcoholic R34 mods so far: * Turbosmart boost controller $100 * GFP Mach1 BOV $195 (a free custom made adaptor saved me $50) * RHK FMIC $500 * R33 style Piping kit $450 * Greddy Auto TurboTimer $170 * New Garret T3/T4 450hp Turbo $580 from eBay (bargin :Pimp2: ) still to come: * custom fabed exhaust system (should save a bit on that). The ACA build up  -
fuel usage for a stock rb25det
RyanN replied to paveway's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
must be an r34 thing, i just cant believe it, my VR SS 5ltr did about 350km per tank making the 2.5ltr turbo worst - basically i drive about 15km to work every morning of straight no stopping highway travel, i just dont get it. Eventually i will replace the coilpacks and see if that makes a difference since r34 are known for there coilpack failures. -

nope im extremely sensible in my skyline :innocent: , really. i drive noramally since the fuel economy is so bad, also after the FMIC mod i did, the fuel usage has increased slightly. Im going to have to take it to get i tuned and checked out, seems to have quite a loud rattling sound coming from the right cam cover....... :werd: I've check the spark plugs there fine however like most r34 my coil packs are on the way out so maybe a new set might fix the problem. The exhaust gas smells extremely rich, can nissan dealerships be trusted for a tune with the rb25det motor? -

all i know is that i get 240km on a full tank of premium from my er34 auto, how do people get 400-450 on a tank? better/regular tuning? regular maintance? driving like your driving miss daisy? -

the blitz kit must be different, does the blitz kit run a pipe behind the IC to other side?; by r33 style i mean that the intake pipe went up and over the cam cover and radiator fan not down into the stock holes. Therefore in order to get clearance some of the supports needed to be 'removed' and a hole cut down in the subframe to bring it around into the area where the wiper tank is.

were r34 Xenon lights an option? they would have a Xenon tag if they were right? ( i don't have the tag so im just woundering wheather or not my r34 might of had them to begin with).

Very busy weekend, just installed an r33 sytle FMIC in my er34. All i can say is that after alot of cutting and grinding it fits. I didn't take any shots during the mod, since i was busy all weekend and didn't even think about taking any. However i will get some shots next weekend since the front bumper has to come off so i can remount and fit the wiper watertank (thats one thing r34s have to modify). Some of the biggest time consuming things of the weekend. (r34 specific) * The r34 bonnet had to be cut in order to close - the overcam pipe needs to be high and more to the front to clear the radiator fan; by cutting out some of the bonnet support structure i was able to get a 0.1cm clearence (atleast it closes, however there will still be rubbing from the soft bonnet padding. * The wiper water tank needs to be moved; haven't figured that out yet so im currently driving without one. Either it needs to be repoistioned else where or, what i think might work, rotate it 90 degrees so its facing forward and construt support brackets. * For autos, that sensor in front of the trans cooler needs to be flipped inward or your IC will hit it. Anyone attempting to do this, allow a full weekend since it took me 9-5 sat and sun of full time work (no lunch breaks) to get this done, so allow plently of time if you need to drive the car monday. This morning the car drove well, no noticable turbo lag; fitted a greddy pod filter at the same so all i can hear now in the cabin is the turbo whine - totally cancealling out the BOV, sounds awesome though. :boinkcar:

Want Gauges to replace stock ones on R34GTT

http://www.msiracing.com.au/parts/category8_2.htm http://www.envyimports.com.au/shop/category19_1.htm pretty much just plug and play. -
so its worse, 15/100km. sounds like it was better before. A 6ltr V8 just reminds of that period in the late 60-70s.......

My borther owns an S15, took it for a spin, there pretty quick but the australian version compared to the japanese version is heavly restricted not making as much power as my r34. Its a nice car but i perfer the skyline, even he wishes he he had a skyline - he wanted one but the girlfriend talked him into getting the Silvia.

Is this cheap or what????
RyanN replied to SkyLinE GT-T R34 Pau's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yep, that place has alot of cheap skylines. however most have high kms on them but also they haven't been registered or complied yet so that would increase the overall price up a few thousand. -
go the white one, looks nicely modified. Haven't dealt with them, not having the money to buy a bnr34 yet but they look pretty good, don't look dodgy or anything.

How can you tell if your GTR is a V-Spec?
RyanN replied to Topaz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
de-badged, stolen? -
42g for a GTT, no way, my stock 1998 GTT sedan was $24g. Even if its a genuine Tommy bodykit it still doesn't justify such a high price, my gtt was purchased from sydney since no other place in australia had one, sydney prices are usually pretty good. Check out prestige motorsports (prestige motorsports.com.au), they have modified gtt coupes going for around the 27-31g mark.

yeah i know what you mean, i just don't see the point of idiots putting a 'fake ' sticker on. It should be like HSV, they won't give you a clubsport sticker or HSV badge unless you show them you own a genuine HSV car. -

its not ricy, its what the factory would of put on there to indicate to the public that this is no ordanary gtr. :sadam:
