  1. i went for the cheaper GFB Mach 1 BOV, pretty damn loud on stock boost also, no probs when idling - runs the same as it did with the stock setup however now i get a ppssshhhhhhh
  2. An R33 GTR looks better than a stock r34, go the gtr if you have the money and find a nice clean one otherwise if you can't afford the crazy insurance for one go the r34.
  3. shouldn't the V-Spec/V-Spec II sticker on the back also be a give away
  4. nah mate, im physced after reading it. :whip: :headspin:
  5. birnie, do know if the r33 and r34 share the same piping?
  6. man hes a dumbass! the reason i sold my VR SS, SS 5ltr V8 with an "amazining" 165kw mind you, was that it was extremely painful to lose to, what a local mentality of V8 community were, little pissy jap cars (expecially my mates WRX STi which totally kicked that loud, fuel guzzeling, heavy V8. To settle it, my r34 gtt would of kicked my old VR SS to the curb, off the line and proberly all the way. Hes dad seems just as thick, father like son - total Fckn yobbos! :kick:
  7. i've spoken to the guys at Monsta performance about IC piping requarding my r34, they have IC kits but are willing to seperate the piping and sell it for about $480 (IC for $280). On the topic, does anyone know if the R34 and R33 share the same piping? the guys at Monsta weren't sure wheather or not there RB25 IC piping would fit an R34. Check out: (your going to have to email them) http://www.monstaperformance.com/ I'm installing one myself once, like you, i find some pre-fabed piping. It not a massive job some say it can be done within a few hours, however since the IC i have is 600x300x75 im going to have to 'hack-the-crap-out-of' my front bumper, relocate the horn and generally hack anything away to get it to fit.
  8. found this on skylines downunder: http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/show...7264#post327264 and this on skyline owners: http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthr...read.php?t=7162 something about an optional extra......
  9. Justjap: http://www.justjap.com/welcome_page.htm parts in stock > new parts > accessories - Nismo/GTR Carbon wing decals $250
  10. go R34's! wow, someone voted for an r34 gtr
  11. hmm, i went the way: turbo, exhaust and intercooler first then im going for injectors and pump. That way i could maxout the stock injectors and other parts without worrying about blowing the stock turbo.
  12. yep, there pretty much all the same (they handle about 10-12psi max). check out: http://www.monstaperformance.com/ they have a TamKO T3/ T4OE 500hp turbo going for $800 - much better than the stock one, then you could run as much boost as you want with it.
  13. is your turbo stock? might want to look at replacing it since the stock ones can't take too much boost. Even if its a cheap one with steel compressor and turbine blades, atleast then you won't have to worry about it blowing up
  14. GTR side fenders are a bit wider than your normal skyline, so you may have to modify it or replace your fenders with GTR ones as well.
  15. heres another: http://www.japanesesportcars.com/skyline/specs/
  16. your matt black r32 looks sweet. :aroused: nice mods so far, keep up the excellent work!
  17. the r34s don't have an electronic security feature like that found in the commodre or ford, so a plain key will still open and close doors and allow you to drive. Unlocking the doors either by key or remote will still turn off the factory security features.
  18. justjap.com (not justjap.com.au) has a new genuine GTR (i beleive) wing in there bodykit section - w/ leds for.........$525.00
  19. with the boost controller, works the same way as an internal exept its external to the turbo and alot bigger.
  20. go high mount. An external wastegate has a bigger valve which would vent alot more unwanted exhaust gases compared to usually a rather small internal wastegate, when you deal with more boost and power youre going to need an external.
  21. how the hell do they fit? must be a huge offset to clear that suspension strut and those nissan brake calipers.
  22. the HKS 2530 turbos i believe have internal wastegates. internals aregood for smaller turbos, external wastegates are better for high-powered bigger turbos, an external wastegate allows for more exhaust gases to be vented (ideal for big boost applications). I've heard that a high mounted turbo is best, something about the oil doesn't gather within the turbo or something. A high mount gives you a little bit more room for a bigger turbo for example.
  23. the suspensions a little harder than most 4D family cars out there on the market ie commodore and ford, however i really noticed that they balanced the performance with comfort really well, not too soft but not too hard = excellent handling. The turbo seems to be just the size, boosts just past idling rpm which makes acclerating from 60 to 100 very quick and even 100 to 150 pretty quick compared to my old supra.
  24. justjap.com.au might have one. there not in melbourne but do supply alot of genuine gtr parts - shipping shouldn't that much either.
