Siddr20 made 196 kw on a dyno at 10psi with manual boost tee, side mount intercooler and Toshi remap. i think an extra 4kw is easily achievable with a big front mount 12.5 psi holding very steady with profec spec b. results like this are also in the RB25 dyno thread. a dyno run will tell though.

lol i know what you mean by that. and yeh run the boost run the risk. and about blowing the engine? it wouldnt be any unsafer for your engine than getting a tune on a dyno. as i said it simulated a proper dyno tune. tested for pinging at extremely high revs. i was surprised my turbo didnt blow during the tune because i thought here we go now going to have to upgrade after todays tune. but honestly i gave this turbo an absolute pounding in the #$$ for a few hours and the turbo ran sweet. easily the biggest pounding iv ever given my turbo. lucky it survived? maybe. with regards to him going to melbourne you would have to ask him yourself. hes a member on these forums. he has sent numerous remaps all over the country i have spoken to a couple of people on these forums who received one in the mail who were all extremely happy with the results. one guy in perth was ranting about it too.

you checked the O2 sensor? its probably fouled or broken. i got same year model as your car mine has just broken and chances are its been stuffed for quite some time. more than likely this will fix the problem. also give you better fuel consumption too

this is very true however power fc + tune = 1500-2000 if you want to retune a modification pay another = 3-500 so all up about 2,500 (cheaper of course if tune yourself) toshi remap = 500 if you want to retune modification pay another 500 so all up 1000. still works out way cheaper than aftermarket computer. even if tune a third mod still cheaper. and the 16x16 map computers are good enough for street tuning. toshi tuned a R33 few weeks ago with an HKS turbo he said the guy dyno'd it after and the car made 360 horse power. so the power capabilities are also there. he did say if you are looking for numbers of 400hp or more he would recommend the power fc or alike. the road tune really did simulate a proper dyno tune as well. we went on the highway up towards Gosford and gave it a good run with a mix of red lining and speed/gear variations. for a very short period of time this was the only danger of the road tune however there were no cars around at all.

there has been a bit of info posted about remaps and aftermarket computers. i was initially going to setout and get a pfc and a tune done as i only wanted to stretch the limits of my turbo without going too overboard. i dont track my car or drag it. its just a daily driver and in the last 2 years of ownership i have travelled less than 10,000 kms (yeh everything i do is really close to my home). Car 1998 R33 gts-t 40th anniversary mods: walbro 550hp fuel pump JJR coil packs turbo back exhaust with high flow cat, dump, apexi n1 muffler Greddy profec spec b electronic boost controller (12.5 psi) Blitz pod filter with cold air snorkel and heat sheild monza front mount intercooler Toshi remap had the remap done today. took about 5 hours all up. after leaving toshi's house i took the car for a spin on my own. and damn. the thing literally lifts off. i never dynod my car before hand i kind of wish i had now. but it couldntve been anymore than 185kw and running average. flat spots. when you compare before and after its like my car was being held back from releasing all this potential. and it wasnt much to get that potential. revs out a lot quicker, power everywhere. lots more torque. no more flat spots in any gear. my boost was holding stable at around 11psi before the remap and now on the profec b it holds stable at about 12.6 psi (8.6 for all you profec b owners and my settings are set 52, gain 20, set gain 27) the car now has its boost limiter gone, speed limiter gone, rev limiter gone just feels free to do whats its wanted to do for the last 2 years. some guys on these forums have dyno'd after the remap with 10psi making nearly 200kw at the wheels. my car easily makes over 200 now. but feels like it too and the torque feels a lot higher too. toshi doesnt think the turbo will make anymore power at all though as the afm is maxed out. but bang for buck best performance mod you can get for your line and for a street only car it is more than enough power to make me smile.

stock my mates isnt as quick as my gst-t putting out 210wkw iv driven his and he agrees. but the potential with these cars is ridiculous. bit of boost, remap, exhaust and they become scary quick. good luck with the sale dude.

tight car. my mate just bought one of these. same colour, same mods, different wheels, same prize. lol. looks tight. that blue looks 1000 times better in real life too.

let me know when you lose your license though dude. cant possibly utilize all 300kw responsibly on the street lol. especially at 400kw for street only (which is all ill be using it for) there is no way you can use all 400kw safely on the streets not only risking loss of license but also playing with other people's lives on the road. if you track your car then its a different story. i see that you do. looks crazy i only intend to street mine. and for the street. its more than enough. but also for me extra money otherwise spent on a pfc or other $$$ mods alike the funds have just gone into an apartment. the Ruddman's been generous, the reserve bank's being generous...why not i say. give this kid a Toshi remap.

i agree. i dont want to go any further with my car hence the remap. besides 200wkw + is plenty power for the street. spend a bit more on suspension and handling mods and you've got one quick, reliable, cheap mod list and cheaper fuel costing skyline.

its not the carbon canister. i havent had my carbon canister hooked up for over a year. this fuel smell starter wafting in the car after a year. i thought it was carbon canister. took it to unique auto sports to get a few things done told them to refit my carbon canister complained about fuel smell. they found a hose that had been melted through leaking petrol fumes into the car. reconnected another hose and fixed the problem decided not to refit canister as they advised its not needed and would have cost too much to put back in. problem fixed. not sure what the hose was connected too lol.

Year 1998 R33 40th anniversary 1. this annoying vibration has appeared in the back seat behind the arm rest plastic. its something that has come loose in between the arm rest grove and the exterior metal. would be a bitch to find and fix and its definitely something thats come loose most probably from me jerking my car with my twin plate clutch and lightened flywheel. 2. defi gauges and a gtech make it nearly impossible to have decent vision straight ahead 3. huge car very difficult to park anywhere. 4. FRONT BUMPER scrapes on everything and anything. im actually surprised its still screwed onto my car and hasnt completely ripped off.

well all that for $450 is very good then.

thats good. so please tell the work that he did from 9 am to 6pm? detailed with black paint and a brush? few layers of cream plus a couple buffs? did you have any scratches on your car down to the metal or were all the "spiderweb" scratches just in the layer of clear on top of the paint? cheers

State Roads vehicle inspection inspect a minimum 10 skylines every week. They did my car and have done many on these forums and they know these things back to front.

im getting mine done in two weeks. the feel from 164kw to 190 kw wouldve been rediculous. and iv got elec boost controller Sidr20 made 196kw on 10psi. im going for 200kw at 12psi with greddy boost controller.

someone must need one. have had fair few pms all from melbourne. can send via COD. can also send pictures to show condition of the item.

very true JJR Series 2 Coilpack Super Spark Coil pack JJRs are black.

i didnt read the article so im not sure how soon the spark issue occurred with those red coil packs in the article. but the JJR packs have 12 month warranty with them. so if theyre not producing spark at top end take them back. i doubt they would sell a product and expect people to be returning them straight after they purchase them.

someone must need a new afm for their line.
