  1. Whoo hoo...someone got it....
  2. yeah Baby... sounds good....
  3. Ahh Japanese.... All looks like Matrix code to me...
  4. If you want a real spin out..... try and find out how a "Rotary" engine works....
  5. I think...and correct me if I'm wrong..... The "V" style also has a lot to do with the "Torque" of and engine. If you understand torque then you will see why the "V" shape would aid torque. Inline engine's have good balance (as we know) therefore allowing them to rev higher. But... Then we get in to bore size and stroke, and then it gets all weird again. The RB engine was designed with one thing in mind.... Rev's. The compromise was low torque, hence the addition of the turbo (or 2). Those who drive GTS-T's will realise that the turbo was placed there to aid Torque. hence why the spool is early and aids the most between 3 and 5,000 rpm. At the top of the rev band the turbo flow match (i think). that also show's why the turbo's fail at high boost, they wern't designed for that much heat and flow. I could be wrong in a lot of what i've said here, i'm going off thing's I've learn't over time about car's. The best way to understand would be to talk to your local Mechanic. I'm sure over a Beer at the pub, they'll tell ya all aobut it. Cheers Loz
  6. Yes.... but you have to fit them yourself. So i guess you pay for compliance + parts to have back to Standard. Then you can decide if you want the Mods.. I think now the Workshop gets the car's and they are responsible for the whole importing, approval, etc etc (like Shunted said). Once the car has "Aussied Up" then you take delivery. May as well buy off a dealer..... but the new law's are weird...
  7. Your's kiks a$$ Tony. I imported mine. It's a great car and well priced for the stocker that io bought. My advice would be to visit Prestige motorsport 's website give Geoff a call and find out all the info you want. He's a great guy..... and he's got one mutha F*#ker of a Fairlady Z....... go the Trust..... Cheers Loz
  8. he he he Duff man..... Ohh Yeahh!!!!
  9. Pity you're in melb. Oh well....
  10. Go for it ash!!, I'm going to do red one day, sticker's all the rice stuff. cause I like it, and I dont care what other's think. It's MY car..... Loz
  11. true true.... will be a good day .........
  12. Fit it, and see if you can notice the difference. If it's too loud, take it off and fit the stock back on. I'm sure the labour costs would be minimal Loz
  13. Depending on price (around 93 - 95 c) i get 100k's off $20 of Optimax. I'm being easy on the girl though. Highway, around 480 - 500 k's on a tank. So yeah your getting the average.... Loz
  14. Lookin forward to those Pic's Frosty
  15. DOE!!!..... Well there go's that idea. Green hey..... Hmmmmmm
  16. the worst part is most of the cost is to take off all the bits to get to the manifold.... you may as well Hi flow or rebuild the turbo while it's off. Well that's what I'd do... Hence why i'm not going to fix the exhaust leak till i can afford to hi flow the stock turbo...or fit a HKS gt2540.... (Yeah right) Loz
  17. I think people are still sore from WWII and still to this day pay out on Jap products. It's just how we Australians are. If something is better than our locally built product....then it is SH*T. I must admit. I used to think V8's were "The Only" performance car. HSV, FPV, etc etc. WRX changed that, EVO changed that (allowed to be sold in AUS). Only 2 years back did I come to realise what a "Skyline" was. I honestly thought that a "Skyline" was one of the Pintara car's with the more defined round lights, and a different badge. That was 2 years ago. I think Holden and Ford do fine with their car's, they are sold for a purpose and a price. Sometimes the price factors A LOT in the manufacturing of car's and the type and quality of parts that are put on. I think the Japanese ECCONOMY and NEED to invest millions into research for their technology and manufacturing, has more to do with the quality of their Products. Japan relies heavily on exporting goods to make money, (as we all know) i wonder if Australia was to start exporting Lots and lots of car's oversea's to other markets, whether we would see an increase in the quality of product. IMHO i think so...... my 5c inc GST Loz
  18. Could it be your exhaust manifold. Mine schreeches at 6,000 rpm (not bad) just noisy. The guy's said some manifolds come lose after time, so the air escapes and makes that noise. It might not be the problem, but it's one to keep in mind.... Cheers Loz
  19. Hmmm years ago i thought there was. Maybe that has changed
