Sweet... I have been "Warned" about the Neon's after i forgot to turn them off one time.... Honest!!!.... Could be a good idea... When i find out... ill post it...

Do you think it would be an instant "Cop Magnet"..... I think the law's state that no other light apart from Amber emit from the front ...and red from the rear..... I would hardly think a neonish blue would make it that illegal.... whatta y'all think...

Perhaps in Blue /green or red.... or have any luminesent Light's/sticker's Excluding under car Neon's I am considering lighting up the "Skyline" wording ..and wondered if anyone has done so yet..... I have a set of Red Neon's for under the car, just have to fit them ....eventually.... Loz

... maybe the fuel pump.... not enough juice to feed the cylinder's on strong boost..... The turbosmart thingy could be the culprit..... throwing the "Spool up boost" past 12psi on "slam foot on floor" boost.... rough guess on my behalf

IF you caught the show on today tonight.... The Coppers in the VRX Magna... would egg people on in drags from the lights etc and tailgate to make you speed up and "Break the Law".... Mind you this is dirty tacktic's at it's best.... just dont go over the speed limit and burn rubber on launch Pulling over is the best way to stop them.... Remember the lights and siren have to sound in order to be pulled over.... If you volunterrily (spelling) pull over to let them pass they cant "Legally" do anything..... What i like is that some people are turned off by a car that has done 130,000k's and it's 8 year's old.... Hmmmmmmm Let's do the math's.... that's a little over 16,000 k's a year.... The Average (according to what i have read) is around 25 - 30,000 per year... in Japan that is.. The Average in Australia is 40,000 k's per year. Soooo.... a 95 with 100-150,000 k's COULD be around the average mark. Funny how Some dealer's all have between 60-80'000 on the clock of a 92-93 model....... If k's are a factor..... you're limiting yourself from a really great vehicle. Fact is Car's get driven, most car's of similer age will have lot's of k's on them Newcar's and 2001-2 model's wont have too many..... my 2.5 c.....after Tax.....Before GST.... Cheers Loz Maybe when selling just chuck in the ol' "it's got the average amount of k's on it..." If they say that car's on the (sellers')lot have less, give them the ol ... "someone might have wound 70,000 k's off that." Any real enthusiest will know that K's dont mean too much with Import's... The car's are expensive due to the govt stamp duty and double tax you pay apon bringing it in to the country. then there is the compliance of the car, and rego.... So a skyline worth say 6,000 AU$ which is around 450-470,000 yen will cost around 3 to 3.5 grand in shipping, wharf, and Tax ... THEN you pay GST on top of that.... say another 300- 500. Complaince can cost around 2,200 to over 3 G's plus Tyre's add a minimum of 550... THEN Rego.... Total..: over 16 maybe a bit more..... Then it might need some touch up's (paint etc... maybe inside...new stereo...etc) there's more money there....and THEn the dealer has to make money on it.... So buy the time that's all done....Car Expensive.... in the end, it's the govt tax that is the major killer..... it's there to try to dis hearten you in buying a NON Australian made car..... I own a 95 amd so far so good (touch wood) 18, 000 ....you might get an ok one..... It's hard to tell. I'd allow a little more just to be on the safe side. Check site's like www.carpoint.com.au and maybe www.ebay.com.au to get a rough idea of price..... When i was researching Skyline's i just did search'son "yahoo" and "google" and read what i could find on them. They state that the skyline's are a very tough car, and detonation is the real killer of the engine's... Buying a second hand car is alway's a risk.... Kilometer's (can) mean little.....due to winding back/new dash/etc.... A dealer would probably be a better option as you get a warrenty, but money can be saved by buying off other people..... But!! they are definatly worth it...... happy hunting Loz
