  1. I have to say I agree. GTR's seem to get away with it fine, I've even seen Evos with 9.5" wide rims front, and 9" rear, albeit with the same size tyres (apparently gives better grip through corners), but when I had slightly different tyres on my C34 Stagea, it "bucked" from the get go. I won't be trying it on my M35..
  2. 19's look tiny on these cars! That grille looks familiar - Xanadu?
  3. Oh mate. Don't get me started. I spent about five years officiating motorsport, dealing with halfwits on power trips left right and centre. Realised that the intelligent people are racing the cars, not volunteering their time to be ordered around by inbreds. So yeah as you can tell it's left a good taste in my mouth haha. It's a shame too since there are some absolute legends that do it as well, it's just that they are so few and far between.
  4. I was really keen on that sort of solution but warned away from them pretty quickly - apparently they provide very little bass. Anyone with the stock Bose unit care to comment?
  5. I now have SA rego. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing. Time to figure out how to get a refund from RTA Victoria. I was thinking you could fit a sub behind the rear left "wall". Don't get me wrong, I know stuff all about this stereo gear, but it would be nice to hide the sub.
  6. Glad I checked! One of the nuts on the top of the shocker had wound itself off a fair way. Closer inspection shows me that the nylon was pretty wrecked, so I replaced it. Hopefully all will be good in future then. Definitely check it out if you have noises coming from the rear end Leon!
  7. In Adelaide. Happy to post wherever. Not sure what brand they are, but they look identical to Craigs. Yep they are black FRP or whatever it's called.
  8. Wheels have arrived and tyres are ordered. Wonder if I'll be lucky enough to get it all sorted next weekend...
  9. Yep not a problem Leon. If this afternoon goes well I might take an early minute or 120 and jack it up to take a squiz. My only gripe with the supplied nuts is that they are imperial, not metric.
  10. Did anyone begin to notice rattles a week or so after installing their coilovers? Mine has some rattles/minor knocks coming from the rear end, not to mention plenty of squeaking. The sweaking is likely from bushes that are very dry but the rattles/knocks have me concerned. I'm planning on taking a decent look this weekend but just wanted to see if there were any common issues with these coilovers or things to look out for. The sound of the noise is making me think that it's the top of the coilover - where the metal mount mounts to the car or the nut on top holding the whole thing together. Did you guys use the supplied nut with the nylon in it or the factory ones?
  11. Dude a replacement plastic Koyo is only $430 or something. $880 is ridiculous.
  12. Just got a quote from All Type to do my bonnet/wing/grille and a general tidy up around the place. Not half bad pricing, and from what I've heard - very good reputation. Just gotta wait until the wheels go on in case there's any.. accidents.
  13. Even better. You're more than welcome to use it..
  14. Thats a bit of a bummer, would be good to be able to chuck the stockies on for long trips. Are they close to clearing? Would a slip on 5mm spacer get the wheels out enough?
  15. Anyone know if the factory M35 17's will clear R33 GTST brakes?
  16. Not sure yet. I have a birthday party and engagement party on that day. Of course I know none of the details. If you want to check it out sometime though just let me know. You're out north east, yeah?
  17. Well that's what I was thinking. If someone has a slow leaking o-ring like mine was, they can repair this one and swap it out in a day rather than pulling it out, having it fixed, and then putting it back in. If the process continues, it can be a community radiator of sorts.
  18. Very interested Ryan. Good to hear your coilovers rocked up too!
  19. Yeah it really needs a cut and polish now. All of the tape has been removed but it just needs to be cut back to get the layer of crap off of it now. They aren't that bad, just a hell of a lot of them. At least 10 chips on the bonnet that have been touched up.
  20. From an M35. Needs a new o-ring which the guys on here tell me is about $140 worth.
  21. In SA mate..
  22. While on the topic, I have a standard radiator here with a busted o ring up top. Any use to anyone?
  23. They are the exact ones! Hmm, very tempting. Looks damn good Craig!
  24. Spent about 3 hours scrubbing away at the double sided tape/foam that the japs must have used for aerials. Unfortunately the previous owners never bothered to remove them so they were pretty much rock hard. Also debadged the rear end. Going to get some quotes on how much to spray my wing black/spray my new grille and fix a small dent in the passenger door and most likely respray the bonnet tomorrow. Previous owner did some "touch ups" that most people would refer to as graffiti. I'm hoping I can get away with all of that work for under a grand. No idea though..
  25. Anyone interested in some eyelids for their M35? I bought them hastily but now I'm thinking that I will black out my headlights instead.. They are much better quality than I thought they would be. I have pressed one up against my headlight through the bag and it fits perfectly. Comes with fitting kit too. Bought them for $145, sell for $125.
