  1. If by hateful bastard you mean ©unt, then yes.
  2. Install coilovers at standard height in SA? BREAKING THE LAW
  3. I'm actually looking for tyres for my 19x.9.5's (when they show). Some good deals in 245/40 R19 - HSV front end tyres from what I'm told, same as what spoolin is running from memory. They are 1.5% out.. So at 100kmh reading you're doing 101.5kmh.
  4. Yeah I've been using that. They are close, but not as close as I'd thought. I've found 5 supposedly stock tyre sizes now. Don't know which are genuine or if they are just the cheapest option for the importers to whack on to sell their cars off..
  5. So as far as I can tell, the M35's come with three different wheel/tyre combos. 205/65r16 215/55r17 225/55r18 While I know that it's hard to match a tyre between rim sizes, which one is the most accurate? I'm looking for tyres for my new wheels but don't know which is the best "baseline" size to pick my new tyres from.
  6. Anyone else running different seats? I know Dunc received his with different Recaros.. I have the velour interior, half considering finding some Evo Recaros to go in mine - they should be a close enough match..
  7. haha yeah I know. Worth asking though! Sensational car mate, I'm sure you won't have much trouble selling it.
  8. Would have bought this if it was on the market a month ago! I suppose there is no chance of parting out the mods?
  9. Yeah I was over by a fair way. My fault, what are ya gonna do. First time I've ever been done.
  10. I believe I'm expecting a photo of my Stagea in the mail from my good friends at SAPOL.
  11. So I have a blue M35 aero wing coming from Japan that will be getting painted black to suit my M35. It's a long shot, but I thought it was worth posting this up in case someone has bought a black wing that they were getting painted blue to match their M35... Assuming both are in good nick (haven't seen mine yet), I'd be keen for a straight swap. Likelihood of this happening? hahahaha
  12. Yep that's the one that I'm getting. "Automatic Transmission SuperCooler rated at 13,000 BTU 11"x7-1/2"x3/4" Item# 70268" I was tempted to go bigger but really I don't plan on flogging this car so while some may need it for track work, I think that unit will be plenty for what I need.
  13. Yep, but if you haven't bought an oil cooler yet, the B&M has an inbuilt thermostat aka bypass.
  14. Yeah exactly. I'm going to order one this afternoon. FYI the part B&M number is 70268.
  15. And all this time I was wondering how the fu(k you guys were going to tune an actual emu...
  16. That's for a 11x7.25x0.75in unit which seems pretty similar in size to what everyone else is running. They have larger units but the fittings are larger too which would be a bit of a pain. If you're in a lot of city traffic they also have the same coolers with fans on them.
  17. Around $120 delivered off of eBay.
  18. Looks like B&M SuperCoolers are the go.. http://www.bmracing.com/PRODUCTS/Automatic-Transmission-SuperCoolers
  19. While I'm at it, what fitting size do we need for these things?
  20. Yeah for sure I support that, they get HOT enough for cooling to be a concern. But what I'm wondering if the oil taking too long to warm up is a concern. My new radiator won't have the "cooler" (warmer) built in, and whether or not that is a concern on the cold mornings I'm not sure.
  21. Cheapest I can find for an RX8 oil cooler - http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.asp?partnum=14-700D-N3H1 Thought I'd ask SK about his thoughts on it. His brief response was "There is no such thing as too cold transmission fluid." I don't know what to believe/think. In Australia does it really get cold enough for this to be a concern?
  22. Apparently RX8 oil coolers have a thermostat built in. Going to have to do some hunting!
  23. Chuckie this is exactly what I want. Can you still pick them up new from Mazda? Or do you need to find a second hand unit?
  24. I have no doubts this is a super dumb question but is there any difference between a transmission cooler and just an oil cooler?
