So they are actually fitted over the factory panel? Is the factory panel trimmed back a lot? Seems like it would add a lot of weight that way?

If you're happy with an auto, $15k will get you a very nice example. Should be able to chuck the bikes in the back too

Do you have wheels that fill the guards already? If not this might be a good starting point to figure out how much you need to pull them by?

The biggest problem with bringing something like the guards in is not having them damaged. Doubling them would be a pretty sensible way of figuring out what they'll cost. The prices for importing parts seem to fluctuate a fair bit. To be honest if I was you I'd get someone to pump the stock guards. FRP quarters are for show and race cars only IMO.. People sit on front 1/4 (not saying they should), and they'd cop a bit of abuse I'd imagine...

Masa guards are the go for quality. http://www.masamotorsports.com/catalog/img/SW4c.jpg There are some on Yahoo Auctions that could be alright, but you never know. I think both add around 25-30mm for the front guards.

yeah.. mine will be a daily, so obviously it still needs to be drivable and livable. did rear window winders ever come for skylines that would work in the stagea rear doors?

Just bringing this back up again.. Where is the weight in Stageas? I know someone said the rear tailgate is pretty damn heavy. Is it just a heavy chassis? Or are there actually panels that could be replaced to make it considerably lighter? Would a FRP/carbon bonnet same much weight or just be a negligible saving?

I'm like Tangles.. too broke to offer cash, but if they are going to be chucked otherwise, I wouldn't mind a sunroof in mine. Not sure how much work it would be to get it installed though.

Yeah it's was on the J-spec and possibly Prestige site about a 10 months ago I reckon. Obviously everyone was scared off by the 5speed thing.. Either that or it's a heap. I wonder what else it's had done to it..?
