  1. The light works but i have never seen it come up while driving. Also i have a few overboosting issues at the moment so i should proably sort them out then get a tune up. Also it wouldnt hurt to run bp ultimate together with a bottle of octane booster per tank?
  2. I run a Apex i computer with hand controller and was just wondering what is a safe level of knock??? I have had it up to 98 or something and no engine light came up on the dash. Is that a bad knock for a R33 RB 25. Cheers
  3. I have a Apex i avc-r controler and even with the boost controler OFF and runing just of the wastegate it is pulling up to 1.7 bar. Idearly i would have it at around 1 bar. Also i have an Apex i comp and when i look at the Knock level sensor it has reached up 94. Is that considered a bad knock?? Since the boost controler is off why is is boosting up so hard and how do i stop it before somthing major goes wrong?? Turbo is a HKS 25/30 with an external wastegate. any help would be great. Thanks

  10. I have had a similar problem, mine was the number 4 coil pack was breaking down at high rpm. I found this out by simply going into a jap tuning shop and pluging iin the diagnostic computer, took 5 mins and cost $150 including the new coil pack.

  12. Yeh i seen this car just the other day at the roundabout near tonkin hwy/ cannington, sounded and looked sweet mate, good luck with the sale. Also if it doesnt sell before autosalon are you goin to enter it???? if so ill see you there.
  13. That sounds pretty close. Is that for both together or each? I paid $420 for a pair of 165v2s and trust me they are exellent, it depends on personal preference but the 165v2s actually sounde better than the more expensive focal splits.
  14. Im not exactly sure of the height at the moment but it can definetly go alot lower,It is fully jacked up at the moment and it is just posible to get up the kirbs, i can lower it back to how it was set up for drift but it would be to inpracticle. In the pics the guy had before i bought it the wheels were well and truly inside the gaurds and nothing was scraping so yeh must be the depth of the kit.
  15. Well i thought of a simple way if you have an apex- i hand controller. Just set the RPM limiter to like 1,200rpm and unplug the hand controller and take it with you. I would like to see someone drive my car without stalling it at 1,200rpm, its just about inposible to drive especially with a heavy duty clutch. Of course this is a bit of an extreme measure but i think it would work.
  16. Yeh, i wouldnt do it but it is still interesting to see if it would work and give ppl an alternative.
  17. Yeh unfortunetly i didnt make it there but if anyone has some pics of the burnout ect.. that would be great. Cheers
  18. Give it a go and tell us if it works, you could be onto an interesting money saver. Also instead of plumbing why not use PVC electrical conduit, that stuff is twice as thick and i know it doesnt melt to easy but it can be bent if you hold a heat gun onto it so you wouldnt even need the use of elbows and joints??
  19. Who realy care's how much it costs per KW, we are all still going to spend the money to make our cars faster regardless. Plus it doesnt matter how much power your car has you will always want more, am i right??? Thought so, just like girls and money haha.
  20. Thanks guys i got a set the other day. Cheers
  21. If it comes with the fittings to suit an rb25 r33 then i will buy it, i am in W.A but i will pay the post, let me know if you still want to sell it.
  22. Hi i am only in Perth for the week and i am after a heap of parts for my R33, im after floor matts, a BOV, aftermarket seats, and a heap of other stuff. Does anyone know of some good places to shop at?? I have been to C RED ect.. but i need somwhere that you can just buy this stuff over the counter so any ideas??? Cheers
  23. Still after a set of R33 matts, preferebly in W.A if anyone has some or knows a good place to buy them new in Perth area????
  24. Sounds about right, i had a stock turbo on my last R33 with no where near as many mods and that was pulling 263hp @ the wheels on the dyno so thats about 200kw @ the wheels. 230 KW is around 308 hp so yeh. Ill find out when i get it tuned anyway.
  25. This is how the heat sheild was set up on my last R33 it also had a cold air intake from underneath the front wheel/spoiler and was very effective as you all know how much heat the engine bay produces, im currently making a new one for my new car due to the intercooler pipes being in a different place etc... The easiest way to get one would be to make it yourself since most cars have a different set up. Its quite easy as im making my second one as we speak. 1.Just take a cut out of cardboard and put it roughly where you want it. 2.Mark all the areas where the pipes are and anything else that is in the way. 3.Cut them out and check it again cutting and shaping it as you go. 4.You can also put bends etc... in the cardboard and tabs etc.. for bolts and so on. 5.Now you have a template, just take it and cut it out of what ever you like(i used 3mm polished alliminium), then bend it up and presto. It may not fit perfect first time but if you have a real good stencil it should work pretty well. I also added a little bend to mine to make it look factory. Cheers hope this helps and if anyone else has some good idea's then lets hear them.
