  1. This is how the heat sheild was set up on my last R33 it also had a cold air intake from underneath the front wheel/spoiler and was very effective as you all know how much heat the engine bay produces, im currently making a new one for my new car due to the intercooler pipes being in a different place etc... The easiest way to get one would be to make it yourself since most cars have a different set up. Its quite easy as im making my second one as we speak. 1.ust take a cut out of cardboard and put it roughly where you want it. 2.Mark all the areas where the pipes are and anything else that is in the way. 3.Cut them out and check it again cutting and shaping it as you go. 4.You can also put bends etc... in the cardboard and tabs etc.. for bolts and so on. 5.Now you have a template, just take it and cut it out of what ever you like(i used 3mm polished alliminium), then bend it up and presto. It may not fit perfect first time but if you have a real good stencil it should work pretty well. I also added a little bend to mine to make it look factory. Cheers hope this helps and if anyone else has some good idea's then lets hear them.
  2. Yeh mate, i wont call you right this minute as its 11.44pm in W.A so ill call tomorrow morning some time.
  3. Thats funny because the car comes from Victoria and it was licenced over there. Yeh with the sequential shifter, it doesnt have a cover and can be a little noisy without it but it would be to easy to make your own one up. I just got a bit of that sound proof stuff, (like the stuff that underlays the carpet) and jamed it all in around the base then made up a cover out of PVC and painted it. As for changing gears i use the clutch, not sure what everyone else does but it does smash through fairly hard, thats a good thing tho.
  4. Ok well, the white skyline is more a track car than a street car so maybe that is why there is so many stickers, not to mention the guy i bought it of owns that creatd motorsports company also since i have only had the car 1 month the stickers will be coming of when i get around to it, and after all they are only stickers and have been told they are easy to take off. As for the GTR sticker well Guilty haha
  5. And this is my new R33, basicly it is a DRIFT car rather than astreet car but its still nice. ($10,000 worth of suspension, engine management, fuel system ect...) So let us know which one you like better of the two. Thanks
  6. Hey all, here are some pics of my old R33, this was an M-spec 96 model not that you could tell, it had all the usual mods to create 260rwhp but it was more done up to look nice and turn heads. It also had a custom sterio install worth $6,000, $3,000 worth of 18 inch chrome and a nice custom interior. Let me know what you think.
  7. Rob said it was up around 340rwhp so yeh ill have to get it retuned when im in perth and see what she will get. Heres a list of the Mods, have a guess if you want at how much hp she has.. 9. This is my last R33 i sold not that long ago, i did all the interior up myself, ended up turning out pretty nice...... I mounted the timer in the ash tray wrapped in lether. sweeet
  10. no, i do it all the time, some times it helps leaving it on the windscreen though coz if you already have a yellow sticker its unlikley your goin to get pulled over again.
  11. Mate just pull the f@#king thing off and put it in the left hand corner where it supost to be like jonn said, they wont know sh#t, when i get yellow stickers, i just take them off and put it in the glove box, if the cops pull me over i quickly chuck it back up. No big deal. As for getin it over the pits. Well i duno about perth but in karratha i am mates with the guy who owns NW mechanical and he takes them straight of for me. So every time i get a yellow i just be a smart ass, only one time the pig only gave me 20 mins before the yellow sticker ran out, just enough to get my car home, then i had to get a f#@king permit to get it to the mechanics.
  12. I'll do it myself, i change the one in my last r33, i was just unsure bout the airbag part as my last car didnt have one thats all
  13. yeh i think ill try get one of those special boss kits otherwise ill just pull the globe out. Thanks for your help. ayone know a good place to buy an aftermarket wheel and boss kit in W.A???
  14. Bit hard to see but mine is mounted on the dash obove the air vents, looks pretty nice, just make sure you have good quality double sided tape otherwise the heat will make it fall off. And just use the apex mounting braket, that will work fine.
  15. What do you mean by d/c the wire?? do you mean bridge it out, like join the wires together?? And be carful with what the steering wheel??
  16. Bomex carbon rear wing and bonnet
  17. Yeh ill have to get that mag. Yeh i wanted to change that steering wheel along with a heap of other shit i want to do but all in good time, also the wheel has an airbag behind it so whats the deal with changing that??? ive been told it cant be done???
  18. Well my car was insured with Famous in subiaco i was 19 at the time and it was a heavily modified GTS-t worth $30,000 and it cost me $3,500 and they are the only ones in w.a who would even look at me, i was pretty stoked and i only had it insured for 9 months then cancelled due to loss of licence, i got $1000 back so yeh not bad.
  19. Cheers mate, its spun out seein pics like that. I still have a fair bit of work i want to do to it but all with time, im starting on the engine bay first just to make it look decent as it looks prety shit then i was goin to pull out the rear seats and put a full custom alpine system in it but ill see what happens.
  20. Oh well that sucks there must be a way you can do it but??? QUOTE=leech_]i am pretty sure it is illiegal to change a steering wheel that has an airbag to a non-airbag steering wheel. just what i have heard.
  21. These are mine, fairly standard looking, that yellow one looks a bit overdone tho. Nice work with the sheet metal, can you roll gaurds ect.. coz that would be sick.
  22. Yeh, takes a bit to get used to on the street but should be good on the track, im still waiting for the Power FC hand controller to arive so i can take the REV limiter off and take it for a thrash.
  23. Does anyone know what the deal is with changing the stock steering wheel to an aftermarket wheel in that it has an airbag, do i have to get it disabled and if so how or who can do it??? I have been told that it cant be done but that must be a load of shit coz my last car used to have an airbag before the last owner changed it. Cheers.
  24. Cheers here i'll throw a few pics up.
