  1. *Update* Well I have my car back, 216rwkw on 12psi, ECU is GTS LINK G4 (running MAP sensor). Limited by injectors now. And the car is driving just fine, no harsh gears changers and pulls hard. I have to say there is a lot of misleading information around here about going full ecu on an auto R33. Its good some people posted in here that have done this and I can join them and say it works fine. Next up is a shift kit & trans cooler, then some 500cc injectors and tune for more power
  2. I'm not exactly sure how it would work, but when his turbo blew bits of it got sucked though and into the engine.
  3. I know of someone who was making 220rwkw with the stock turbo, it ended up spinning apart and bits of metal went through the intercooler and into the engine, now he has to get a rebuild. Make sure you get the turbo high-flowed. The ceramic parts are just to weak.

  6. Thanks for the reply Gary, good to see there are a few people who have done this and it works Fist mod ill do to the auto box will be a bigger trans cooler. When my funds allow, ill then look into a shift kit or manual conversion. Though I would like a big powered auto R33, auto is so much easier for city driving
  7. Hey dangerman4, yes I had seen that thread of yours, was a very good read. I see a lot of people have opinions about this subject, but was good to read about someone who has actually done this. How long did you keep your auto box stock for? And do you know how much power the factory auto will take? My car is in the shop now getting the latest Link G4 computer installed and tune. The tuner also said the auto box will work fine, not sure if he’s saying that just to get my money though, hence the reason for this thread. Anyway ill report back here when I get my car back. About to find out just how a factory auto box will go with an aftermarket ECU.
  8. What is this "secret squirrel" trick? Thanks for the replys, basically I'm wanting to know what happen to other peoples autos when they changed to full ECU.
  9. Hey, I'm at the point now where I need to go full ECU to get the most out of my mods and get the car running at its best. Only thing holding me back from doing this is the car is automatic. I've done some searching and read a number of threads but still unsure of how the automatic will run. I've also been told that the automatic box will get stuck in 2nd gear and wont be able to switch to 1st gear for taking off, however it will be able to use 2, 3 & 4 for normal driving. I've also been told the auto will run fine apart from been abit jerky. So I'm really lost at this point. Is there anyone here who has gone full ECU on there stock automatic box? Will the Snow and Power button still work? Car is 1996 R33 GTS25t, Link G3 is the ECU I'm looking at getting. Thanks for any help!

R33 GTS25t, automatic Walbro pump Garrett T04 600x300 FMIC Split dump pipe, full 3"inch exhaust Boost tap running 11.5 psi SAFC II 192rwkw, with exhaust manifold leak and silencer on the muffler. Getting a new manifold gasket. And going full ECU, LinkPlus or EMS Stinger. Will post up results in a weeks time when its all done.
  11. I did the walbro pump install, mine fitted fine with the smaller rubber bottom it came with. And the factory filter fits onto the walbro pump so you don't have fuel pick up problems when running low on gas. I found the walbro pump to be a very easy replacement.
  12. Did this mod on my RB25DET S2 used an R32 igniter. You can see it all attached to the firewall in my pic. Best mod I've done to my car so far, doesn't miss a beat. (Also put NGK BKR7E’s in at the same time, loves the colder plugs) Before I did this mod I did a lot of hunting on the net for other peoples installs, I’ve attached there pics, give you some more ideas on how to do this mod
  13. Yeah those fumes are crazy, my car is going to smell like gas for a few weeks I'm not sure I understand your problem? It should all slot straight back up easy.
  14. ahhh ok, I guess ether one is fine, I was told to get the GSS-341 Did you get the fitting kit too? (400-766) that should make it real easy to fit.
  15. Is that the right pump? Thought it would use the GSS-341 unless R32s use a different fuel pump set-up to R33s??

Hi, I was recently using an HKS Type H FCD to by bass fuel cut in my R33 GTS25t, now I have an Apexi SAFC 2 installed I can't use the HKS FCD, and fuel cut has come back, I'm yet to have the car dynode-tuned but does anyone know how I can remove fuel cut with an Apexi SAFC 2 installed? Hope that wasn't to confusing Any help would be appreciated cheers

I'm not trying to have ago at you, but it sounds like you don't really know what your doing, I'd recommend you do a lot more research into modifying RB25DET's before you go cranking the boost up. It probably was the fuel cut making your car have hesitations/splurting, which is a factory safety feature to stop people from over-boosting there cars.
  19. Jack, what mods have been made to your R33? Sure you weren't hitting fuel cut? if your running 10+psi without a fuel cut defender you will get hesitations/splurting. Also what heat-range plugs are you running? I was getting hesitations/splurting, fixed it with NGK BKR7E plugs and a wasted-spark setup, car is running mint now with 12psi

  21. +1 for the KOYA - RS GT in Hyper black. But as R-SPEC said above, they don't look tough enough. Mags are never an easy choice
  22. R33 with 3"inch split dump pipe, 3"inch piping all the way to the muffler with 4.5"inch tip, no cat or resonator so it's loud. Going to get a resonator though as its ridiculously loud, anyone recommend a brand?
