  1. no it wont rust but depending on how its cleaned it will oxidise though....(have white powdery looking stuff appear on the alloy)this happens to me when i acid clean the coolers that i used to sell..... if u polish it afterwards it will not oxidise though but u can not exactly polish the core.....

  4. okay well from my experience with my old torana race car.... i was young and silly and i had a mate i had to impress so i started it and revved it pretty hard after a little while of idling... about 8k.... went for a spin and wemt to like 8.5k several times and when i put it back in the shed it was fine ... when we went to take it to the drags the next wekend it developed a very bad miss...we changed coild ,plugs,leads,everything......ended up been a broken valve spring......all brand new done like 5 hours on the dyno......was broken from it not been warm enough and the wire in the spring not been ductile(flexible) enough which cause it to break...personally i would rather letting it get to operating temp before driving....reason been that the oil may not be at full protection till operating temp but it has no load on it unlike driving the car......hence idling it will not stress anything till it warms up and you take off..... i alwats warm mine fully before driving.......

    i am in the process of getting my whole series of 19 cd's on vcd in jap with eng subbies.......if anyone is interested in buying a set off me please pm me we hav not established a price as yet cause i wanna see what the quality is like etc etc etc.........
  8. the way i see this is that the HKS turbos are specificaly designed for sports cars and the garret mostly originated from trucks which says to me that hks turbos are usually a good volt on solid power source but the garret u have to fiddle with a/r ratios a little and comp sizes etc to get it right for your car and application..... i do not see any reason why either turbo in the same specs will give BETTER RESPONSE or POWER just because it says garret or hks on the side...... its all about research and development which hks do alot of to suit the cars they are intended for but you yourself can save thousands and do a little R&D yourself and still get the same results.......this is what i was told when my turbo guy and i had a chat on the subject a few months back and he is the manager of his area........
  9. you pay for the name hks...personally id rather go garret for name and price and availability of parts.......a garret turbo with the same specs will make same power etc ...... its the name.....i have a 1000 hp ta51 beside me its a garret......mader well over 700 flywheel hp @ 20 psi on a 6 cylinder 200 x flow ford.....im gonna go garret.....

  12. 99% of the time you will find that it may have had a panel or pod style air filter which needs oil on it on the car.... there for the oil makes its way into the intake pipe.......personally i would rather leave it there then run it thru my engine......

  15. nope i even put it on a hoist to check it and we cant see anything eh.... i blasted it off with the pressure cleaner today ill see what happens from there.....

  17. air con is all new and no leaks and power steer fliuid is red..... it has me stumped.....

(1)ok guys i pulled out my ecu to have a fiddle and i saw a screw adjustable knob sorta thing that looks like it would be for idle mixture adjustment or just idle revs?????? anyone know about this and what it does exactly...... (2) i have discovered that my car has a very small leak of blueish grey very thick oil leaking from the drivers side front of the engine bay its really thick and blueish tone..... anyone have any ideas???? its not shockie oil......
  23. well i went for a look see at the drift day....i must say that MR E can definatley handle his car in a sideways motion...... i had no idea that you cut so sick in it....3 sets of tyres GOD DAMN!!....thats hardcore for sure and definatley good to watch..... i hope to be out there with you guys next time ill just have to wait and see how things go but im keen to go to the drift day on the 4th now so ill probably get some training there lol......... ill have the pics in the next day or two having uploading probs from the camera at the moment......i hope next time we can have a bigger SAU turnout.......
