ADR approval has little bearing on defects, unfortunately. my custom made angel eye lights were built from all ADR approved driving lights, and used all the original mounting holes of the stock lights. did regency pass them.. yes and no. one inspector said it was fine seeing ADR approved, another came over and made a fuss about being left/right adjustable. however the stock lights are only up and down adjustable (which my angel eyes are too), and i have never seen lights that can adjust left and right. of course this was a lame excuse coz they didnt want to be wrong. however with my cf bonnet, and all other cf bits, never had an issue. even tho the bonnet may not be ADR approved, as long as it has some type of fibre glass skeleton structure, and lines up with the original bonnet hinges/release latch, its fine. so avoid bonnet pins. well thats the reply i got when asking a cop. however like stated above, legalities are subjective. i have also heard of people passing regency with their non ADR approved cf bonnets. so yeah i reckon ur pretty safe. ur if gona get done, it will be for something else. oh one other thing with vents. rearward facing is fine, forward facing is straight defect, unless its a factory bonnet like on WRX's.

i reckon the best option is to head up the day before, have a big nite, and the show the next day.. like kadina. at other car shows ive tried going up there in the morning, staying the nite and coming home the next day.. but after the show ur so stuffed u just wana get home.

if i was in ur situation no doubt i would get an evo 6. same performance as those cars mentioned, bit more roomy (so good for a daily) and semi-invisible to cops. win win.

wow.. is it over yet? i think both parties, mods and nisskid/ted180 can work on certain aspects to avoid arguments. firstly mods. people can put up with a blown turbo, their car off the road for months, even their car being stolen. but people cant put up with injustice. and thats why nisskid and ted are so right wing and pushing ur boundaries. they feel ur moderating is injust when it comes to friends vs unknowns. which brings up my second point. the net is the net. end of story. its not real life. yes, its similar and things that happen in real life reflect on the net and visa versa. but theres also rules and traits that are just part of forums that arnt meant to be taken seriously and not meant to carry over into real life. one of the major advantages of forums is everyone has an equal say without feeling intimedated. nisskid, ted. u do have to respect people sometimes and bite ur tongue. i mean having gf's should teach u that lol. i think nisskid particaularly takes too much to heart. take ur own advice, its only the net. every argument on the net doesnt need a rebutle by u. just chillax and dont get so worked up. u also need to understand that some people dont understand net logic or ur humour. be easy on the slow ones lol. anywho yeah. whatever is said from now on is just a repeat. everyone needs to move on.

running from the cops when they are gona crush ur car.. does anyone use this logic.. - cop signals for u to pull over after doing a skid. - u go, 'f**k it' and plant it, cops chases for a km then calls it off. - ... - cops show up at ur house coz they took down ur rego number. - cops take ur car and crush it. - u recieve a criminal record. am i the only one what sees it that way?

lol shh.. well all the nissan turbos ive driven, silvia, 180, 32, 33, 34, 300zx.. have the same feel to them. especially compared to the vr4. like i said, just my opinion.

why people spend on on a excessive kits, mesh and stupid head lights, yet run homo spec rims and standard ride height/suspension is beyond me.

duno what its worth, but ill give my opinion anyway going from a silvia to a galant vr4. yes a silvia is not a stagea, but its still a nissan turbo with the same feel and making the same power. and yes the galant is not a legnum, well it is, so shh lol. since owning the vr4 ive lost interest in the silvia. the vr4 is much smoother, easier to drive, can be modded just as easily as any turbo nissan, and is so much easier to work on. ie, like even with coilovers and other mods, the vr4 doesnt feel like a track pig, where nissans do. the only reason im keeping the silvia is for a project to keep myself busy. if i had to pick one, the vr4 would be it no doubt.
