  1. I see then... 2l V6... Does anything else use the same engine? Who is that in your avatar?
  2. If nothing else, his old man won't have to worry about his son taking the car for a spin in the near future...
  3. Is it the same engine as an FTO (but no turbo's)?
  4. Auto is 4.3 or something. But they're all supposed to be interchangable..
  5. Aren't they twin turbo? 3L V6? I've seen a couple around. Pretty rare though. I bet they go like the clappers
  6. "The longer you stay on a road the more chance of having an accident. So I was trying to minimise the time that I spend on the road, to make it safer for everyone"
  7. Heh, well I never play racing games (or watch Initial D) before driving Can't join in guys - my PS2 is in bits. Mod chip going in (as it's been going for the last few weeks)
  8. Heh, it's just instilled in you after a while... But occasionally you forget - *scrape!*...
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the variable valve timing will change your timing as you accelerate... I notice this in mine, and it's probably the power increase you're noticing in yours. About 5000 rpm is where the stock boost solenoid kicks in... If you're not getting that extra boost then you might want to look at the solenoid (it's near your power steering fluid bottle). Check the air lines for cracks too.
  10. I suppose you could take the pads out and brush them off and clean off your rotor... That should make sure there's no crap there...
  11. He should try his mates key... That worked with my laser :-)
  12. Won't start? Try turning the key..
  13. I think I might get a machine done then... BTW, one of my rotors has some tracks worn into it... Probably from something caught in the pad. Will a machine come close to fixing this or is the only action then a new rotor? It's about 1 - 1.5mm deep...
  14. Hey, with depreciation of the car, do you guys generally decrease your agreed value every year?
  15. I was pulled over once for RBT (it was saturday night, and I almost did a 180 burnout :burnout: ). They came up and asked if I had any grog (which I said no). And while the RBT thingie was processing I tried to be nice and asked "Sow, how's your day been tonight?". They all laughed and asked if I would like to retract my previous statement. I've only been rbt'ed once with the 'line. And I had a defect inspection done while I was driving around my shitty pulsar a year back... Not too much bad luck with the cops.
  16. lol! that's funny...
  17. 1) You should be able to use any actuator... I'm pretty sure mine is not original, since there are an extra 2 wires (open / close signal for central locking)
  18. I like the ones I wore for the 2 Fast 2 Furious night... 2SIC4U http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...=&postid=380235
  19. I hear that points deductions date to the time of infringement. And if at the time of infringement you would lose your license, then it'll be suspended regardless of whether or not you have extra points now, or in the future.. Read it on another post a couple of weeks back.
  20. Excellent cruise Except for the old farts in 4wd's...
  21. If the insurance was withing budget, then GT-R all the way That midnight-purple gt-r with gold wheels... That's one sexy car
  22. Hrmm.. Good point. An alarm with door sensors will still go off though.
  23. How do the theives get to this swtich though? It's on the inside, and by the time they break the window, they may as well go through the drivers door...
  24. I can't see why it'll make any difference at all.
