Sarumatix, Had a similar problem with my R33 GTR a few months back, car would cut out for a split second , lights would flash and radio cut out. Turned out to be a bad battery. Replaced battery and corroded terminals. No problems since. Hopes this helps, let us know how you go.

Ben mentioned a metal weight in the steering wheel. I've got a 33 gtr with airbag and I occasionally get a metalic sounding clunk from the wheel. Where exactly is this weight?
