AS I thought, it died again so jump started it and it loved it, so new battery. Been fine since until it cut off again just now. held the key all the way around and pushed accelerator and when it clicked the switch at full throttle it started once, no struggle at all winding over. Only once though, wont go anymore. Although the same thing happened when I wiggled the terminal with the key held and also some times with the key held it delays for a second then seems to wind over all of a sudden. So rebuilt starter, new battery, cleaned terminals..... Def sounds electrical as when it does start it is having no issues winding over it sounds really strong.... No idea where to look from now..

I just pulled the small slide on connection off and back on again and it works fine now :| Thanks for the help everyone I reckon I may have to come back here for reference in a few hours lol

Pretty much the last few weeks my car has decided to break a fair bit, latest one is it won't start. The starter motor was replaced by a rebuilt rb30 unit no longer than 2 weeks ago after the previous one let go suddenly and co-incidentally the only time i had the car jacked up to work on it (exhaust) since I bought it. So I put this new one in and it winds real hard but every now and again had to give it a second hit of the key for it to spin. Yesterday I pulled the switch for my boost controller out then put it back in and now my car won't spin starter, all dash lights are on. I can't figure it out, this stupid wagons officially become the most unreliable bucket of crap I've ever owned. If anyone else has had any similar problems with theirs, help would greatly be appreciated. Jayson

How much does it cost to register a number plate to sell? Why on earth would someone pay 4x the price of a real GTR for a bit of metal to put on the front of it... A little confused because shit doesn't work like this in little old tassie..

Went and booked it in for a service today and hopefully find the problem while its in there. Could be worth buying another box if it is going to cost too much. Where abouts are you finding gearboxes for $400 and would anywhere be able to ship it down for me? Thanks Jayson

Howdy, I have a 1996 s1 RS four and it has been slipping fairly bad in 3rd and overdrive is nearly impossible for anything other than maintaining speed on flat ground. I don't really know anything about auto box's in general but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and can help me with a solution. Cheers Jayson

The horsepower in a box kits need different fittings to go into the block whick I'd have no idea about. Apparently midnight mods isnt a sponsor on there anymore, cheers for your help though.

I bought it for an RB20 motor I've been building but never got the chance to use it, just ordered a new Garret kit to use instead. at a guess I'd say you'd get full boost around 4 on an 25?
