  1. Was in Toowoomba (buying a model R34 GTR of all things) and a white 33 drove past the shop in Newtown shopping centre. Made me feel like I wasn't so far out of the country (of course then I went to the speedway and realised just where I was - in falcadore land).
  2. nice work guys - cruise onwards and upwards
  3. I definately want to come out there some time. Would have been a nice day, and rain only makes it better. Keep posting them when you hear about them Jay and we'll see what happens.
  4. I'm thinking a moon is out of the question then?
  5. There is a guy I met at QLD Raceway recently selling a 94? R33 GTST and it had some great factory options. 1. ABS 2. Airbags 3. GTR Diff (has slip and locked lights on dash, hydraulic pumps under rear guard). I didn't know this was ever an option, but would be great for hard corners. He was asking 19K and it was a beautiful car (dark grey) I paid 17k for mine and it has exhaust from cat back, full suspension mods, decent stereo and cheap boost controller and filter. Totally happy paying 17 for it, heaps of fun so far
  6. I got a quote today for about $400 to replace all the studs. At that price I am thinking I don't want to do it myself. If it was up towards $600 then I would be thinking I might need to find the time.
  7. Yup, still have the standard one on. I think the only time that will ever change is if it's crashed I like the standard one, nice and subtle. The only thing that has changed on mine lately is the huge smear of white paint on the rear bar is gone (love those lasers). Lots of cutting and polishing and it's pretty much back to normal.
  8. Not sure Jay. QLD Raceway call their sprint days "Rev Central" - check with their website for more info. REVS is also the Register of encumbered vehicles isn't it? Through the QLD government, not sure of the department.
  9. That's hard to say. It was white and looked like it had a nice kit on it. I only got a glimpse as I was driving past (just not used to seeing lines up there). It was parked on the left as your heading west, just up past the supercheap auto. I have also seen another one lurking in the streets near my place Looks totally original (makes no sound - weird)
  10. Very nicely kitted dark blue 33 on creek road yesterday arvo - not sure I have seen one that colour before (certainly not many anwyay). Also nice white 33 in Kallangur - nice to see one up in the "deep north". See bugger all ricelines up this way.
  11. Thanks guys. That makes more sense now. I will presume it will stay where it is until I move it back again (into valet mode), not that it is likely to be driven by any valets in the near future. Cheers D
  12. Ok, this is not the easiest thing to explain but here goes. My remote boot release has never worked. I have fixed it now so that it does, but I don't understand why it has the "feature" it has, which is the reason it never worked in the first place. The small lever that the remote release cable activates is on the lower catch mechanism (on the car itself) and it hits the release on the boot lid mechanism, and the boot opens. For some reason the level on the lower mechanism has a long vertical slot in it so that it can move up and down as well as side to side. WHen it is all the way down and then activated from the remote lever, it does not contact the boot lid, but when it is all the way up and then the release is pulled it works fine. I just don't know what the option to have it all the way down would be for, as this doesn't seem to be a handy feature. Has anyone had this right appart and worked out how it should go? If not the next time it doesn't work it's coming right out and either understood or modified (home style). Thanks D
  13. Was out in the valley friday night. Saw GIRLY there (nice), 46n2 hitting the town and what looked like a blurry version of Kryz roaring past (would swear it was Kryz anyway). Also saw the result of the bingle on gympie road, but was a little later in the night.
  14. I've been filmed by the cops with a commercial camera crew once. I was sitting in a carpark eating dinner and 2 cops came up and started asking questions. In the background was a cameraman and another person in civillian clothes. I asked what they were doing and was not given a reply. I rang the cop station the next day and complained for the record. Turned out it was one of those reality shows looking for bad types to film. But yes, funny how they gave me 20 questions and I wasn't even given an answer to the one question I gave.
  15. Hi Chaos, Only just saw this one, and no, can't have been me. My line is now very unique, has a nice white graze on the rear left corner. I was in the city all weekend 2 weeks ago, and saw a few lines out and about, as you would expect
  16. Oh, also saw a few nice lines revently. Lime green R33 heading north on gateway heading into toombul - colour certainly stands out Dark Grey R33 - heading up gateway yesterday and ended up 1 street from where I live in Petrie. Looked very tide and original (so quiet too). I wasn't in my line so wouldn't have stood out like normal
  17. Hi Shane. Yes, I know who you speak of, jolly Geoff is a new name for him though. He mentioned he knew you so I guess this puts it all together. I'll be up your way saturday the 4th - then heading up to Gympie sat night for opening night of speedway then back to the gold coast sunday. Don't often cruise up there though and haven't seen many lines up there (know a few though)
  18. Some people live out there. I'm at Petrie, which is just down the road. That said I don't think I have seen you around either. I'll wave if I do
  19. Yes, they look great and will be wearing it to the next track day (this weekend). Definately a good excuse to have a long sleeve one. Thanks to all for their efforts - well done
  20. 46n2 - good show of restraint. I'll comment. Drinft King Motorsport Geebung will be at Jamboree, worth dropping in to chat with them if you live north side and need riceline work done. Saw a few nice lines out last weekend, a black R33 friday night heading into the city on gympie road, and a blue R33 heading out of the city saturday night on gympie road. Nice to see some line owners who smile and wave too
  21. I'd be going to court, what is there to lose compared to the gain.
  22. money is transferred Slip. Let me know if there's any probs. Catch you all there D
  23. Yeah, having to have a current safety certificate sucks, I got 4 of them before I sold my commonwhore (it was a piece of crap though). Still, it adds up when you buy 4 of them. I like the idea of the "not for sale sign"
  24. HI slip. Can you please PM me your details for deposit. I will transfer as soon as I hear from you. THanks D
