I was thinking on the morning of the 26th. we coudl do the dawn thing, then head out for brekky somewhere (read into that NOT MACCAS) and then head out to the sprint day (be there by 11am). should make a nice day of it. Then anyone how survives (or can still afford fuel) can cruise back into bris for the night, or go down the gc. anyway, its a thought. thats all this thread was meant to do. Its not to plan anything solid, its to get people thinking and throw ideas around. Eventually something will form when we get enogh people and ideas. so keep em coming......

Ok, so I missed the last cruise, and have yet to get to any, but it sounded like it was a great time. So how about we get talking about the next one as it does take a while to get these things organised (and its nice to give people heaps of time to plan so more can make it along). So put your suggestions down here. Do you have any ideas of where to cruise, or when. Should we do a daylight or night cruise, or both at once and make a day of it. Sounds great. I had already taken my R33 into Steve so it would be ready for the Sprint Day (see thread) and he had a look and gave me some great ideas of what to do with it. I also get my other race tyres from these guys. And yes, they are actually good guys. They certainly have looked after me, and I am sure they will be good for the club too. Just say the day and I'll be there, providing I am in Bris anyway

I have checked on the registration, and they told me to just rock up a bit early to make sure we get a place. I can let them know how many are coming to make sure we have the places if people confirm they are coming. It won't lock you into coming, but just so we can get wough places set aside for us. If someone doesnt turn up they will fill it I am sure. If you can let me know if you are going then I can let them know. By the end of this week would be good, if you can that is. Thanks

Well my plans have changed, as they always seem to do. Now I will be there on the 29th of March as well (still my first time) but won't be running any nice rubber, so it will be interesting to say the least (or should I say fun). So now I plan to do both the March and April events. Hope to see some of you guys there, spectating and racing.

The cost is approx $95 for 3 sets of 7 laps. I will check this and confirm but its within $5. You can go to www.queensland-raceway.org.au and look at the sprints page. Although I believe this may be out of date, it's close. I think the licence may now be $30 instead of $25. The good thing is the licence is for one year, from the date you buy it. So next time you go out it's $30 cheaper for the same fun. You don't have to do 3 sets of laps either, but unless it's broke, I can't see a reason to stop. And spectating, I believe is free. So definately come out if you can.

Is anyone already going, or interested in going to QLD Raceway for the sprints on April 26th? I am planning to get there for my first serious run in my skyline. Not sure I will be going totally hardcore for the first time, more just to see what the limits are and have a bit of fun. Having said that, by lap 2 anything is possible (I really should know better, of course I will end up going hardcore). So if anyone else is heading out or wants to let me know. It would be great to finally meet a few people from in here - out there. Cheers L

I would definately be keen to come along and see you guys in action. Not sure I am quite ready to put my 'line out there yet, but next time for sure. Am also thinking of the April sprint day, but still working on that too. All good fun anyway, and that's what it's all about L

Also just seeing how the insurance for the association was going as I am in the process of doing this for another local racing club (but for the club, not for actual racing), and am enjoying all the crap that goes with it. Hi Slip, I just got a GTS25t and would be interested in coming out for a cruise. Whats the normal go with this? I only just saw your post for this saturday night but I will be well out of town for that one. How often do you all catch up?
